  1. Every news station on TV, including cable news is all biased toward a political agenda. Fox just happens to be the only one that steers Republican. MSNBC may as well be part of the Obama election campaign, the same way Fox is pulling for Romney. Its never news with regards to politics, its always political pundits sharing their opinions on TV. Fox allows some Liberals to speak, but they are often shut out, interrupted, and some times even ostracized. MSNBC does the same thing to Conservatives. If anyone remembers, Dan Rather with CBS resigned after an outright lie about Bush. Had to do with his military service.
  2. I like pistols in this game, so here are some SCs of a few I got: DVA Anarchist (Vladof): http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/7679/vladofpistol.png -Pretty amazing damage, magazine side, reload time and rate of fire. Who cares about ammo? Most Gunzerkers don't. Redundant Synergy (Hyperion): http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/8933/hyperionpistol.png -Similar to the Vladof variant, but accuracy is better, just less damage, magazine size and rate of fire. If I'm going for crits, ill use these. Very good when gunzerking due to improved accuracy while firing. Vengeful Infinity (Vladof) http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/4699/infinitypistol.png - Has infinite ammo, 10.4 rate of fire, shock element, and decent damage to boot. 2 fer maggie (Jakobs): http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/5434/2fermaggie.png -I got a few of these, and this is the highest accuracy I've seen, which I prefer over variants with a little more damage. I don't typically use these because they aren't automatic fire. Also the rate of fire is misleading, even with 10,0, you still have to click the mouse that fast to make it fire that fast, which actually means its going to do less DPS than the DVA Anarchist because I don't think anyone can click a mouse 10x in 1 second. Its about 3.0 ROF for me, and that is mashing the hell out of my mouse. Whereas 9.0 ROF on an automatic weapon is 9.0 as long as you hold the mouse down. This is why the 2 fer maggie is overrated. On another note, there isn't a SMG, or assault rifle in this game that holds a candle to any of those pistols. And in case anyone is wondering about a BL2 save editor, here is a link: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B_f11g1DlLhDYk00c3VJejVjV0U/edit?pli=1&docId=0B_f11g1DlLhDQVRBWUhGWG85TkE r121 is the latest version as of right now. It works in a similar way to willowtree#, the save editor from BL1. I've used it mostly to level up weapons. Also to the left in the link, there is a CE trainer, that is for cheat engine, and it has a ton of features that are more or less idiot proof, meaning just click the box to activate/deactivate stuff. I hate how you can farm at level 50 and find level 48 drops, considering the extreme scaling in the later levels it pretty much makes level 48 stuff useless.
  3. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/major-banks-governmental-officials-and-their-comrade-capitalists-targets-of-spire-law-group-llps-racketeering-and-money-laundering-lawsuit-seeking-return-of-43-trillion-to-the-united-states-treasury-2012-10-25 Also, the same article was posted on CNBC, which was removed. http://whatreallyhappened.com/IMAGES/CNBCvanishedarticleSpire.jpg None of this really surprises me, but it all makes perfect sense considering the current economic situation. Theoretically if $43 trillion dollars obtained in this manner was to be pushed into the economy, we would probably go FUBAR overnight. A rough estimate of 250 million people in the USA and that would = 172,000 stolen from every person in the USA. 43T / 250M.
  4. I admit that using the word "rampant" was the wrong choice of words, but I otherwise stand by my position of requiring an ID to vote because it would stop a lot of would-be cases of voter fraud, as I explained in the post above. Well that is the thing about a Capitalist system, is that where some companies fail, others will step in to fill the demand if there is any. A lot of former American auto companies have went out of business, and either merged, were bought out, or simply closed the doors. I believe a company like GM could have restructured itself if it filed for bankruptcy. Or it would have possibly merged with another auto company. Sorta like the recent merge of Daimler-Chrysler. I offered an answer to this in the above post. I said some engineers in my area make less than UAW workers. I know this because I worked for a company I know what their entry level wage for an Engineer was. $65,000/year for someone fresh out of college. I absolutely don't agree with those comments under any circumstances. A woman that gets raped would be going through an enormous amount of emotional distress, for some prick to tell them that getting raped was a gift from God then that is just blatant ignorance.
  5. You have proof of this? Please post this proof of rampant voter fraud. Cite court cases and where and when all these people have been found to be involved in voter fraud. You can search for cases of voter fraud. I know they exist. There might not be that many people caught for it. But if you don't even have to show and ID, what is to stop someone from registering to vote under several aliases? Just because people don't get caught doesn't mean its not happening. Regardless, I still prefer a voter ID system be in place, even though it might be an inconvenience for some people. With a voter ID system, that means they would have to get an actual fake ID for each alias they register to vote under, and that extra hurdle would discourage most would-be cases of voter fraud. Assuming you can just trust everyone to play by the rules is foolish. There has to be a system in place to make sure the process remains as legit as it can be. If you think showing and ID is too much of a hassle, then I dunno what to tell you. Entry level for engineers in my area is about $65,000 a year. This is fresh out of college with no experience. Someone making $28/hour @ 40 hours a week is making 58k, and that is before the market value of the benefits, and pension is included, plus any overtime they work. So yeah, a UAW worker could be making more than an Engineer. And by non-skilled or semi-skilled that means you don't need any education or prior training to land the job. Someone sitting on an assembly line operating a torque wrench tightening down the same part on vehicles on a line all day is not skilled labor. That is something someone can be trained to do in a couple days to a week. Skilled labor is something that takes YEARS to become proficient at. A carpenter, HVAC tech, welder, auto mechanic, machinist, electrician, etc are skilled labor jobs.
  6. Ford Motor Company never filed for bankruptcy. but... They did receive $5.9 billion in low-cost government loans in 2009 to overhaul its factories and bring out more fuel-efficient technology. doing this Ford managed to tiptoe past bankruptcy. So their "bailout check" was actually a loan from the government. No bank at that time would loan a company that much money. if Ford looked to the private sector instead they would have eventually filed bankruptcy. Filing for bankruptcy isn't the end of the world. Its a process that a company can go through to turn itself around. If Ford filed for bankruptcy, these way overpaid union workers would have been forced to take some pay cuts or take a hike. Some UAW working on an assembly line make more than a lot of engineers in my area make. That that isn't counting the pensions and benefits. That is too much money for non-skilled to semi-skilled labor jobs. Toyota didn't get a bailout, and they hire plenty of American workers, all non-Union. Can you specify which Republican said that? Voter ID has to be in place, otherwise there is rampant voter fraud taking place. You can have 1 person with a bunch of fake names, going to various polling stations and voting. With voter ID, that makes it more difficult, because they would have to show an actual ID. You can register to get a voter ID card for free in my State. In which you have to provide a birth certificate and social security card to obtain. If not born here, you must prove you are a legal citizen. There is nothing unfair about it. It just keeps voting legit. Each State handles things differently, I always have to show an ID when I vote, and it doesn't bother me at all. You have to prove you are who you say you are when you apply for a job, or quite a few many other things, so what is wrong with showing ID when voting? Everybody has to do it in my State, no exceptions. I forgot my wallet with my ID in it last time I went to vote, and I had to go back to the house and grab it. Even though I personally knew the lady that was sitting in front of me, and she knew without a doubt I was the person I said I was, I had to show an ID anyway. So I don't see how anyone can say that is unfair or targets minorities.
  7. I haven't updated. Why would they remove it? You mean just removed the item completely from the game? Mobs were clearly IMO far overpowered if you didn't use a Bee Shield in PT2.5. There were some fights I couldn't have won without it. And I don't think I'm that bad at the game. Terramorphus is one of them. Bee shield + Conference call is the only way to win that fight. I wouldn't even attempt it with anything else. ***Edit, seems they only added an annoying noise when you have it equipped. It would be simple enough to mod the game and remove that sound and use the thing anyway. I think that was really stupid, and in the end only the people on consoles will be screwed. This is why I always buy games for PC over console. I really hate it when they cave into the whiners and start nerfing things I feel are perfectly viable for the game, especially if the game isn't even competitive. Things like this always happen over people whining about how others play the game. Its not like BL2 is a competitive game or anything. If someone thinks its overpowered, don't use it. But waaaaaah!! Its so not fair people can farm stuff fast or beat uber bosses easily! *hands out tissues to those people*. Seriously.
  8. The success or failure of Planned Parenthood should be determined by the private sector, like any other company. Just because they quit getting money from the government doesn't mean they would close the doors. They would just have to restructure their organization and make it a company. I don't have a problem with abortion, because I'm not a religious person, but I do got a problem with the government funding things that can be done by the private sector. I don't like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac either. I think they should be de-funded too. They are part of the reason we are in this whole mess. Oh and the auto companies? Ford didn't take a single bailout check, and they recovered fine and are doing far better than GM or Daimler-Chrysler. What happens when things get hard again, should we just keep bailing them out? Or will it get to a point where enough is finally enough. And if they can't run a responsible business, like everyone else they deserve to fail.
  9. Unemployment figures listed in the US are misleading, because they only count heads who are filed through the unemployment office as unemployed, or are drawing an unemployment check. A large portion of the people out of work are not included in the figures. So they say 8.8% when its actually closer to 20%. There have been people who have completely given up looking for work and have filed for welfare. Its awful discouraging when you have a skill, or an education and are faced with working a low pay menial labor or customer service job. Of course anyone is going to milk their unemployment check for as long as they can instead of apply for jobs which will pay less money than they get from their unemployment checks. I'm more or less in that position currently. Its just not worth it to me to apply for a job that pays less than my monthly unemployment check. I'm certainly not going to jump through hoops to land one of those kinds of jobs. I'm thinking of going back to college and getting an Industrial Engineering degree. I could finish it in 2 years with the credits I already got. I already have a lot of experience with CAD and a decent understanding of industrial processes and machining. I worked in the engineering department at the last company I worked for 5 years. An Engineering degree + my experience in the field, and I probably wouldn't have a hard time finding a job, even if I had to relocate. As it stands right now, my current skill set isn't in high demand. I'm someone who is sorta in the middle. They are either looking for a grunt or an engineer. Every job I've ever had, I've been hired on the spot after 1 interview. If I have an interview and they don't hire me, then I have the mind set that they aren't going to just based on my own personal experiences. So I rarely if ever follow back up.
  10. You need a Bee shield for PT2, its an absolute necessity. Its one of the easier items in the game to farm. Level 50 Bee shield does 55k amp shots. If you got a fast ROF weapon, like some Vladof machine pistols or a good shotgun you can own up on those high HP mobs. And I never saw skull mobs at level 50, ever. The highest I saw was 53. That is why everyone says Bee shield + Conference Call, because it can drop non-badass mobs in 1 shot. And you don't need to worry about ammo costs if you are a Gunzerker, unless you like rockets, and I do. The Badaboom launchers are like 80k x 6, and they work with the Bee shield so they can be 135k x6 and also get a crit. Its basically a rocket shotgun, but the damage is absolutely retarded. I've hit for 1.5m with it, and that is only a couple of the 6 rockets landing for a crit. Gunzerker can't regen rocket ammo, but some of his skills let him proc for free shots or even add ammo instead of using it. It requires you kill something to get the proc chance, as long as you keep killing, chances are you won't run out until the area is cleaned out. They don't leave room for much middle ground, its either that, or you pack a lunch for each encounter. You actually need top tier weapons to take down mobs like you would in normal mode with mediocre gear.
  11. For example, if you are terminally ill and its guaranteed that you will die a slow and painful death, and there is nothing the doctors can do except ease your pain a little bit. Personally I don't see anything wrong with requesting they just give you a shot in your IV while you are sleeping and just end it. Also suppose someone gets in a car crash, and are they are permanently paralyzed. Which means they will now become a life long burden on someone else to take care of them. I'd personally rather be dead than be paralyzed, or not able to walk. Someone who is unable to care for themselves physically should be able to request to be euthanized. Of course the person giving the shots would have to have the attitude that they are doing the said people a favor and aren't doing anything wrong.
  12. I liked the game for the most part, but the problem is that there isn't any replay value. I already beat the game and there isn't much left to do. Ended up losing 3 countries, and it seems more or less guaranteed that you will lose a few at some point. I'm not saying its impossible to keep them all, its just really hard, and you probably wont pull it off on your 1st playthrough. You would have to choose all the right abduction missions, shoot down every UFO that shows up, win every mission, and time a certain story mission at a clutch moment which lowers panic for all countries by 2 and be launching up satellites as fast and as many as you can. I ran with 3 assaults, 2 snipers and 1 support. The game gave me a ton of assaults, so if one got injured I had another to replace them. Sometimes I brought a SHIV unit in place of a sniper if the mission was going to be indoors like a big UFO crash, and there were aliens that could mind control. SHIVs are actually really good vs Etherials, which as some of the toughest enemies in the game. And if you lose one its not a big deal like losing a top soldier. Assault is probably the best class, they are good in any situation, indoors, outdoors, hallways. Run right up on stuff and shotgun to the face, usually 100% to hit and 100% critical at Colonel rank using a scope and with the right perks. The shotgun meets face strategy never fails to take your enemies down. The way I play doesn't rely on getting lucky to land a low to mid % shot in a clutch situation. Although early on you are forced to take some shots like that. The hardest part of the game is the first 2 months. That is when panic levels can get out of control if you don't do everything absolutely perfectly, and Chyssalids can chew your face off 1hko you if you don't have at least carapace armor, and they throw those at you fairly early in the game. I actually had to restart my first playthrough because I had that particular mission and all my characters only had starting gear. It was unbeatable for me. Oh and I don't take losses, if I lose one of my dudes, I just reload the game. Save before every mission, and keep your in game save separate from the base save. Some missions take 2 tries, just to get familiar with the layout and where and when the mobs will pop up. Especially those missions with civilians. I usually move around to get a good look at the map and the spawns then reload and go in with a game plan on the missions where you have to save civilians. Those are the hardest missions for quite a long time.
  13. When I was a kid me and my dad were driving through the Mohave desert, just a straight road for as far as you could see with nothing but yuka trees and tumbleweeds. We pulled off the side of the road, my dad needed to take a leak. Anyway we saw a strange looking object near a mountain top off in the distance. It just hovered over the mountain for a minute or so, and right when he was getting ready to get back in the car, that thing just zips across the sky at an upward angle and quickly leaves view. I remember dad saying Edward's Airforce base wasn't too far away, maybe 20 miles from that location. There was another time I saw what looked sorta like a lightning bug, except the blinking pattern usually attributed to those bugs wasn't present and it was a tad brighter. It was pouring down raining and I was sitting on the porch and it didn't seem to be affected by the rain drops which should have been knocking something of that size down to the ground, but it just casually floated up into the sky and out of sight.
  14. Stay away from laptops with integrated graphics cards. Don't expect to do much serious gaming with those. A laptop with a decent video card is going to run at least $800-$1100. And even then you would be lucky to play some of the more demanding PC games on low to medium settings. Also gaming laptops are designed to fry. Heat management has always been a problem with laptops. Don't ever get a laptop with dual graphics cards, unless you are just made of money because those are the ones that burn up the fastest.
  15. I know how he did that. There is a script for Cheatengine that morphs Adult varkids into Vermi's. I've done it a few times.
  16. SMGs seem really crappy in this game. Even pistols got more damage(about 2x more), higher ROF and larger mags. Siren has a class mod that buffs SMG damage by like 80%+, even then some of the pistols will still do more damage. Gearbox needs to buff them up, they either need crazy rate of fire, like 15+ in automatic fire, or more damage. Because they are outclassed as a whole by machine pistols. I haven't seen any SMGs with the x2 barrel either.
  17. As far as I know the gunzerker legendary class mod doesn't have ammo regen so its nearly useless. That is the best class mod for gunzerker.
  18. I hate the beast my country has turned into, so I'd never in a million years serve in this country's military. You can refuse being drafted, you will go to jail. I'll serve jail time.
  19. no image. and im sorry to hear that you havent had any luck finding rare weapons. i havent played in like a week my Assassin is still level 20, so i havent found any new weapons needless to say, but i will say, its just you having bad luck. my friend just finished play through 1 and his 4 main weapons were all OJ weapons when he finished, though i think hes already replaced like 2 of them having now started NG+. that and CommanderCrazy has posted several pictures of OJ weapons. The image works fine for me. Its an 80917x6 rocket launcher. My brother who has more time in this game that I do hasn't found a single orange drop worth using. He quit the game after trying to farm a bee shield for 3 hours and when one finally dropped it was a level 48 one. The way items scale in this game with level, at level 50 a level 48 item is as good as shop food. The drop rates are absolutely horrendous in this game, and it has nothing to do with luck. I must have gotten really lucky one time just to get that launcher to drop. There is a huge difference between bad luck and horrible drop rates. Even worse than the horribly low rate of them even appearing, you only have a 1 in 3 shot of even getting the level 50 weapon to drop. I'm done until a Borderlands 2 modding tool gets created, a program like willowtree# for Borderlands 1. I refuse to farm drops when the odds are this low. Most of the ones loaded with orange drops didn't farm them, they had someone dup them in a trade. One you get a few things, then you can basically dup anything you have for anything you don't have. That is how that works. In Borderlands 1 I was always finding decent drops. Eridian weapons, volcano snipers from random mobs, and etc. Item of the day in the shops frequently had good stuff for sale. I much prefer that to this. I'm playing Torchlight 2 ATM, and I don't really have to worry about gear upgrades and hit a wall that is nothing but a gear check. You figure they would have learned something over the years from making games and its that most people don't like spending massive amounts of time farming, its boring and doesn't even feel productive especially when you don't get any results. As far as classes go, all of them are weaker than Gunzerker, so after playing Gunzerker what is the point? Everyone can technically be good with any of the weapon types. The only difference is the special abilities, Zero's is pretty crappy, Siren's is mediocre, and Axton's is Mediocre. Siren would be the only one that would play completely different due to being able to heal. But I never like being the healer in these games. ***** edit http://www.mpgh.net/forum/658-borderlands-2-hacks/521927-moxxi-slot-hack.html In the above website lists a "Code" copy that and paste it in notepad and save it as a .ct file. Then load it through cheat engine. If you don't have that then google it and download it. it rigs the slots in Moxxi's bar to always hit the jackpot and give you random unique weapons. Its possible to get any of the unique weapons. This is for those who don't feel like farming.
  20. Found this from King Mong earlier. And I wasn't even farming him, just killed him riding a car. http://s7.postimage.org/dg04dmgka/Borderlands2_2012_10_05_01_55_26_51.jpg Its the only unique item I've ever seen drop, period and I'm in NG+ 2.5. I use 2 of these most of the time on my gunzerker. I've found similar ones with all element types. http://s11.postimage.org/4fqyr7wc2/Borderlands2_2012_10_05_02_19_15_26.jpg
  21. An unmoderated debate forum would probably be a bad idea. http://i.imgur.com/t4Z2V.jpg All debates eventually go there if there isn't some set of rules in place and enforced.
  22. I'm on the PC version. And I'm more or less done with the game. I didn't fork out $60, and got it for pretty cheap from direct2play. http://www.direct2play.com/254-borderlands-2-pc-game-steam-digital-download-multilanguage-region-free.html There have been false rumors going around about them not giving legit copies, but mine works perfectly fine. My brother also got his copy from there and his works fine. I think the game is worth $24 but its definitely not worth much more than that.
  23. I used the gold key exploit after about half way through time game because I was tired of using whatever crummy white and green weapons that would pop up out of the bandit crapper stall. I can't say I found a single weapon in the normal game that was remotely decent. In Borderlands 1 I was actually able to find orange weapons, eridian guns and stuff just playing the game normally. They make you actually have to grind for the decent weapons, or get really lucky in Borderlands 2. That sucks, some people might like that but I'm not one of those people. They also got no decent grinding spots like in Borderlands 1, rooms with a bunch of chests or etc. Most of the blue weapons you get from quests which might have been decent for their level are already old and not even as good as a white/green weapon from a bandit crapper stall that is up to your level. In my first playthrough I didn't find a single E-tech weapon from a drop, or anything orange quality. Some could say I was just unlucky but my brother also beat the game and didn't have any better luck with drops than I did. I played Borderlands 1 for about 6 months, and I'm more or less done with this game after just 1 play through. Me and my brother for awhile had an ongoing joke going, I'd ask what weapons are you using, he would reply "whatever flushes up from the bandit stall". Its sad but true.
  24. Just finished the game a little while ago. I didn't like it as much as Borderlands 1. I felt like Borderlands 1 had a better main story, maps, enemies, classes, loot, etc. Basically everything in Borderlands 1 was better IMO. I wish they would have made the enemies/missions scale to your level, they didn't do that in Borderlands 1, but I didn't see any changes made for the better in this, and there are lots of little things they could have done to make the game more fun. Doing quests that give rewards for gear that is 5+ levels under you makes it a complete waste of time, as well as just running through enemies to get to the next objective because they give 2-4xp per kill and are a complete waste of time. If you do all the missions in the game, you will get over leveled quick. Also Gunzerker is clearly overpowered. I put most of my points in rampage and by level 30 or so I was perma gunzerking as long as I was shooting stuff, meaning it would recharge before it ended. I also never ran out of ammo. I rarely died or even needed to fight for life, occasionally some exploding mobs would get me, but that was only because I rushed head in and got surrounded which is a viable strategy most of the time. My weapon of choice was gunzerking with Vladof pistols, high damage, rate of fire, and decent mags. No other class in this game holds a candle to Gunzerker. I played Commando a little bit and it just seems like a weaker version of Gunzerker.
  25. Anyone else notice how Vladof guns are usually top tier? Mostly the Pistols, Snipers, and sometimes Assault rifles. I found a sniper that rivals as much damage per hit as any Jakobs, has 5.8 fire rate, 26 round magazine, 97 acc, super stable automatic zoom fire. It has 3 barrels sorta like a gatling gun. You can use it basically like an assault rifle and fire from the hip. I got 2 of those for my Gunzerker, one of them does slag damage, the other does normal. Gunzerk with both of them and I can mow down anything. Also the Vladof automatic pistols are pretty crazy. Found one that does high damage, 11.5 fire rate, 55 round mag, 89 acc, 2.2 reload time. The level 26 one I found is 520 damage, which is higher damage per hit than any SMG or Assault rifle I've seen up to that point, and also faster rate of fire. Found a similar one that is 460 damage, and fire element.
