  1. Hi, I don't post often but I'm a daily visitor (usually several times daily) to SkyrimNexus and generally love the work that is done here by both the modders and the site owners. Unfortunately one thing has started to bother me just a little: the seemingly neverending mods which promote "female beauty" (as envisaged by whichever author creates the mods). They range from makeup to skimpy clothing to changing the walk animations and everything in between. Personally I find that these mods have nothing to offer me to enhance the game, they are almost universally out of sync with the period, and the whole atmosphere of the game. On the other hand they are also very popular as they regularly hit the 5 "hot files" on the home page so they have appeal to a large number or users. So label me as a prude or whatever, I'm really not at all, but there is a place for everything and for me Skyrim isn't the place for a fashion parade in high heels, skimpy bikinis and full makeup. What I would really like is to be able to filter these out in some fashion, a function which would also help in searching for more specific mods in other areas. A simple preferences section where you can select the categories you wish to see or not (I also don't want to have to trawl through mods which put in light sabres, deathstar moons, my little pony horses etc) would be extremely useful. I know you can do an advanced search by category now, but that doesn't apply to hot files, new today etc... So am I alone in these thoughts, would a preferences filter be useful, what do you think, or do you just not care and can ignore mods which don't fit with your vision of the game world?
  2. I'm playing a Battlemage type similar to yours. 1-Hander/Spell/Heavy Armour and restoration. The best perks I've found so far (L24) are the Restoration perk which recovers stamina as well as health (endless power attacks and endless sprint ftw) and the dual cast destruction knockback perk - excellent for interrupting mages and keeping heavy melee mobs at a safe distance. Intending to enchant my armour with magica regen and magic resist mostly if possible. The flame cloak spell is very useful as a Battlemage too. Will be carrying various weapons with different enchants.
