  1. Bump. Also could the issue be that I don't have the game purchased off of steam?
  2. It's funny reading all these salty PC elitists losing the last thing they have over consoles players. Saying "Console is a poor-mans computer" and saying that modding is a grown-up activity, etc... Are you guys slow? I have an Xbox one and love the thing. I don't think you guys realize that no singular GAME MACHINE is objectively better than the other. And before you say "lol console pleb gtfo noob" I'm typing this on a $1300 rig you poor bastards. Come on guys, it's sad, grow up. And for OP I don't have anything constructive to say to you because I'm new to FO modding, however don't let these chumps put you down.. There is no "modding community" like everyone likes to claim. There is however a VERY small group of talented people who make mods, who deserve to be commended. And there's a HUGE group of spuds who just download mods (I fall into this category btw, except that part ->) who have their heads up their asses. Why do you think mods are coming to consoles? It's because the mod creators are doing it for the love of the craft. Why do you think people (that don't make mods) hate the idea of mods coming to the consoles? It's because they need something to feel superior about. Edit: I forgot to mention about the saints who actually help others fix issues with their mods. Which I don't think there is many in this thread.
  3. I had issues before and I got everything worked out with my other mods. Now the last mod I need is "Place Everywhere" which needs F4SE to work. I've looked around for a bit and can't find any fix that works for me. Here's a video showing what is going on. https://youtu.be/HzNKkjKPJYQ It says it could be conflicting with a virus scanner etc. but I don't have one on my computer. I forgot to show it on the video but running is in Administrator Mode doesn't work. I ended different processes that could interfere. I don't really know what else to do. Thanks for the help.
  4. Sup guys. This issue is now solved. It seems to have been fixed by reinstalling my game and adding that text BEFORE adding mods. So if you are just starting out modding FO4 don't rush into it like I did and follow what Hazz3r posted. "Navigate to "C:Users/[YOUR NAME]/Documents/my games/Fallout4/" You should see a few files and a folder where your savegames are stored. Copy and Paste the file Fallout4.ini and rename the copy to Fallout4Custom.ini Open Fallout4Custom.ini and delete everything in the file. Write these three lines: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= Also, something different I did this time around was add this string of text "bEnableFileSelection=1" to the Fallout4prefs.ini Again to get there Navigate to "C:Users/[YOUR NAME]/Documents/my games/Fallout4/ I'm not sure if this is even necessary or this method is outdated. Thanks again guys.
  5. Yeah I noticed out of all the mods I had that was the only one without any bit of it functioning so I uninstalled it. Thanks for the info though because I would've kept trying to reinstall it.
  6. Hi Ganked, I think that you probably don't have your Fallout4Custom.ini set-up correctly. Navigate to "C:Users/[YOUR NAME]/Documents/my games/Fallout4/" You should see a few files and a folder where your savegames are stored. Copy and Paste the file Fallout4.ini and rename the copy to Fallout4Custom.ini Open Fallout4Custom.ini and delete everything in the file. Write these three lines: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= Save the file and then see if your mods work again. Let us know if this fixes it and happy modding  Hey, thanks for the reply. At the time of posting this I did have that however I added it after I had mods installed via NMM and I also wrote it in Notepad++. I just reinstalled everything and I don't have a file called fallout4.ini anywhere. Should I just rewrite it in notepad++ and try added mods agains? Also since its going to have the mods on my old save will I have to make a new character? (I just started a playthrough so it's not a big deal) Sorry for the slow reply
  7. Sup guys I'm new to Fallout 4 on PC and new to modding aswell so sorry if I'm not making sense. Anyway, I downloaded a couple settlement mods shown in the screenshot below I'm having issues in-game where certain placeable items aren't showing up in the catalog and don't show up prior to placing them. However I can "place" them and they don't appear while still taking my resources. I know I'm bad at explaining stuff so here's a link to a video showing what I'm talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fJvc3czPDw&feature=youtu.be Thanks.
