  1. Still having issues?, drop me a PM and ill help you out
  2. Nice idea  i love Falconry, used to keep a Barn owl and a Russian Steppe Eagle myself
  3. Oh noes! is not 'Lore Friendly' but hey! the people still making bikini mods or warhammer 40,000 armor, or sabers from Star Wars, and all of you've download any mod like that......... :D
  4. Good luck with this, you have some great ideas and I shall certainly be downloading your work in the future
  5. Hey There OP ;] Thank you very much for your message, i tried to reply to your PM but the system is playing up and nothing would send. To answer your question, I'm a 3D environment, prop and texture artist and yes at the moment I really love the idea of doing some hand painted textures on low poly models as it would be good practice for me.. but I'm not sure about the marriage of Skyrim and Warcraft in general and what new/original aspects that would bring to my porfolio. Simply recreating something thats been done before and placing that in another engine would not score me any points with employers. If it was an original idea with a hand painted art style in contrast to the realism Skyrim is famous for then I would be onboard 100% Don't be discouraged though, I'm just one persons opinion. I really hope you manage to get a team together and produce something that's fun to play
  6. I did a lot of lurking on both the Nexus and Berth forums and asked a lot of questions, check out the mod request section and see what the general vibe is. What year are you on? have you specialized in environments or characters yet? My biggest piece of advice is to first and foremost consider your portfolio and the kind of jobs you intend to apply for after graduation. Once your sure of your direction then decide what Skyrim assets are best for you to concentrate your creative efforts on. Good luck with the 3D work and if your ever after any advice or crit drop me a PM :)
  7. Sounds like a nice idea ;] good luck
  8. Good to see this thread still going strong
  9. Top idea! ...love the Warhammer universe also ;]
  10. The best advice I had asking a similar question to yours was to create my own content packs for modders to use as a resource, that way your not tied down to something that may never see the light of day and you get to pick and choose what you want to do. Great idea but as a student I guess your after some pipeline/team experience also so I would advise you to go through all the organised mods yourself and contact people directly. See what takes your fancy, ask a bunch of questions then decide ;]
  11. It's always better to post the model also if your not sure on the texture art side of things. You have to consider both unwrapping and painting in equal measure. A good UV layout can save an artist a whole heap of extra time, not only that its good practise to view your unwrap on the model whilst painting. Ill download both and have a look ;] Can't promise anything super fast! I'm a freelance 3D artist so the day job takes up most of my time.
  12. Theres loads of wasted UV space in your texture sheet, you could do with a link to the model aswell.
  13. I totally agree, most requests like this are a instant switch off for me. It obvious that the people involved have no idea of the time scale and skillset needed to complete such a mammoth undertaking. Build small and beautiful, at least you stand a chance of finishing what you started
