  1. So I just went onto the "File of the month" page on the Oblivion Nexus, when I noticed that February 2014 is missing from the page. It starts with the "Current month so far", and then skips straight to January 2014. Am I the only one experiencing this? I'm using the latest version of Firefox and my AdBlocker is disabled for Nexus.
  2. Well, I got Room207's permission to release it, and i've now uploaded it to the Nexus. :D http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/44728/? This is the first time i've ever uploaded something to the nexus, so I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I managed to break something.
  3. Ah that's good then. I'll send a PM to Room207 to get his permission to release this, and hopefully it should be out soon. :D EDIT: Yes, the vanilla assets were renamed to work with Blockhead. The same goes for Room207's assets (to replace the male head). That said, I did have to manually edit nuska's female orc mesh so that her skull matched the shape of Room207's (so that hairstyles from both Orsimer Overhaul and other cosmetic mods can fit), which was quite the learning process.
  4. So yesterday I successfully completed a patch that merges Nuska's Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2 with Room207's Orsimer Overhaul... http://i.imgur.com/5iauyNC.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6b9D3O3.jpg Now, nuska has already given a blanket OK for her mods to be edited (according to her blog). I have yet to ask Room207 permission to release this but of course I will be doing so. However, in order to get this patch to actually work, I had to include the vanilla teeth and mouth meshes. Basically it plays off the way Blockhead works; by adding "_m" to the end of the vanilla orc teeth and mouth meshes filenames, only the male orcs get them, while the female orcs still retain the same teeth/mouth that nuska provided. Does this affect whether I can release this here or not? Will the patch be banned/rejected for including the vanilla orc teeth and mouth meshes?
  5. Would it be possible for someone to create a mod for Skyrim that gave you the option to adjust the thickness of your character's neck, especially with men? Whenever I attempt to make a more youthful, bishounen styled man in Skyrim, the look is always ruined by how massive their neck is even with the weight slider turned down to the minimum. I've already looked at the Enhanced Character Edit, but it seems as though the only neck slider it adds is a "Neck Length" slider, and not a Neck Width one.
  6. Well that probably explains my custom race mod issues. If I follow the official custom race tutorial, cloning a default race and editing it, the Race Morph setting won't work as it should (my race will have absolutely no hairs, eyes, eyebrows, etc available, not even default ones).
  7. And you're sure these will only effect female characters? Because the last time I tried to install a feminine walk (Womans Move), it affected male characters aswell.
  8. Are there any mods out there that allow you to use separate gender animations? As in, men and women would have their own walk cycles/idle animations rather than sharing the same ones?
  9. Can anyone recommend ENBs that are good for character screenshots? You know, ones with really nice skin shaders. I've seen some really nice character screenshots in random mod previews, but the ENBs I try don't seem to have the same effect.
  10. Another thing I forgot to mention, is that it seems none of the character previews are working. Like when I tried to make some chargen presets with the NPC editor, neither the full body or head previews seemed to work. No errors, just the window didn't appear. It was working perfectly fine a few updates ago (I used it to modify Lydia's hair).
  11. Ok, so i've been following the official Race Creation tutorial pretty much to a T. I cloned the Nord race, set the Morph/Armour Race to Nord, and messed around with the stats to make it stronger. For some reason though, my race has absolutely no hair options whatsoever, not even the vanilla ones. Every time I go to the section which allows you to change what the default race looks like, the only option I get under Hair or Eyes is "NONE", and nothing else. Apparently using the Morph Race is supposed to fix this, hence why the tutorial tells you to do that, but it doesn't work. I can't imagine what i've done wrong as i've followed the official tutorial. Is this a problem caused by the most recent update? For anyone who's curious, i'm attempting to create a new race called NeverFolk, based on the characters seen in Richard Corben's Den (a.k.a NeverWhere).
  12. Are there any existing mods that add nudity greetings similar to those in Morrowind or Skyrim (how other NPCs react when you're not wearing any armour/clothing).
  13. Could anyone point me towards a tutorial for creating new head meshes (based on the original mesh of course)? I'd like to have a go at altering, say, the Khajiit face mesh in something like Mudbox or Zbrush and then importing it back into the game as a replacer. I've tried looking for one myself, but i'm not sure what search terms I should be using (I tried "Oblivion create new face", but instead I got "How to create a new race").
  14. Does anyone know yet if it's possible to set specific bones in a skeleton to always be ragdolled, instead of having to fake the appearance of physics through animations?
  15. From what I understand, All Male Bodies is just a bunch of male bodies in one .zip file (one that's no longer available). I'm currently using Robert's Male V5 with your excellent Better Bosmers, and the only problem i'm getting is a slight seam at the neck (and Robert's Male V5 comes with some of the alternate shapes AMB had).
  16. I've spent a good few hours getting OBGE to work, and so far I have a pretty decent setup. I have Bokeh DOF working in a way that's noticeable but not too strong, AA is working well, Godrays are working, Liquid Water is working, LHDR is working, and i've decided Oblivion's colours are good enough at default without any colour grading and the like. What i'm really having trouble with though, is getting a decent SSAO solution. Characters in particular always look terrible with SSAO; the shadows are blocky, and will sometimes become pitch black at certain camera angles. So i'd just like to know which SSAO shader you guys recommend, and what settings you use.
  17. I've tried downloading a couple of the idles from Pretty Female Idle, and yet they don't seem to work. I don't see any of the female NPCs in the game using the custom idle. Pretty Female Idle doesn't seem to come with any additional instructions, so i'm confused as to if i'm missing something. EDIT: Alright, disregard that, turns out that is is working, but that it only replaces one of the various idle animations NPCs use, so it happens rarely. I only managed to see it just now after using Puppeteer Magic on her.
  18. Oh wow. It's not exactly like Skyrim's Orcs, but it looks amazing! Just the changes to the forehead and chin are enough to make them look so much less goofy. The new texture really helps to sell it too (I haven't seen any Orc face textures that satisfy me yet).
  19. I can't see why this would be so hard. I've seen plenty of ponytails and long hair for women in Skyrim already. Just look at Apachii's Skyhair. Heck, there's a Ren male ponytail in Coolsim's hair pack that looks close, only problem is the overly shiny texture.
  20. I was wondering if there's anyone out there with knowledge on altering chargen models willing to improve the Orc head mesh? I've seen ones that essentially replace the orc mesh with the average human mesh, but that was way too much of a drastic difference. I was hoping someone would alter the chargen mesh to more closely resemble the orcs seen in Skyrim; less round heads, more angular jaws, a nose that's still upturned but nowhere near as piggish, and the orc teeth kept in tact. As it is right now, the orcs in Skyrim just look goofy as hell.
  21. I'm one of the numerous people who decided to start reviewing mods (mine being in the form of a blog: ntngear.wordpress.com ), and as such I take a lot of screenshots of characters for things like body mods, face mods, and armour mods. Thing is, i'm having a hard time finding a decent place to take all these screenshots; some areas are too dark, others too bright, there's annoying NPCs in the background, the area doesn't look nice, etc etc. Now, I already know about the Review Studio by KahjiitRaj, which i've seen being used in various video reviews and seems like a great mod, but it's not exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping that instead of a blank background, for something more atmospheric with some natural lighting. The idea I had is more inspired by Oblivion's Testing Hall. Just a simple house with various doors, each one taking you to a themed room/environment with a podium in the middle for a character to stand on. One could be a dark, cave-like environment lit only by torches; another could be a bright, outdoors ruin with plenty of fauna; another might be something that resembles a hot spring; or there could be one with a Daedric theme. Just different, natural environments that a single character can pose in for screenshots, like an elaborate version of a fantasy figure's stand: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3536/4055071179_9b592e6a62_o.jpg (believe it or not, this was one of the more tasteful ones). The rooms don't have to be large, just visually interesting with enough room for one character to pose in the middle. So, would anyone be willing to do something like this?
  22. Can anyone tell me what on earth happened to this mod? Quite a few mods I want to get state AMB as a requirement, yet it's been hidden.
  23. I'm not actually taking anyone's mods. I just review them, compare them, and link to their Nexus pages.
