  1. Hi all. I'm doing a mod which adds a small "guild". In short, the guild is about artifact hunters and the player would be going into simple yet creative dungeons and whatnot to retieve them. I'm slowly piecing together the storyline, so still plenty of room for ideas. I'm looking for someone who'd be interested in taking up this project with me, as I'd like someone to converse with and take some of the load off my shoulders. I mostly do level design, and am getting into object orientated scripting. If anyone has questions post here or send me a friend request on steam, by the same name. Cheers.
  2. Update So the door I want to close is actually an activator, and not a door. Specifically it's DintGate. So what I know I'm going to do is make it go into a closed state at some point, but that's where i get lost.
  3. Hi all, I'm just getting into scripting (this is where you sigh) so forgive me for asking something that's simple. I'm trying to get a door to close once a player passes through a trigger. I have a trigger created called DoorClose, since that's what it's supposed to do. I attached a script that goes like this: Scriptname DTcloseDoor extends ObjectReference {Closes door} Actor Property PlayerREF Auto Door Property AngrossGate Auto Event OnTriggerEnter(ObjectReference akActionRef)If akActionRef == PlayerREF;this is where the gate closing line of code goesEndIf EndEvent The DT stands for my mod, so I can find anything I make easier. In the properties, I go to edit value and it gives me a list, but I just want to affect the one specific gate that's on my level. First question, what do I do there, and what would the line of code look like that makes the door close? Thanks, I appreciate any response I get.
  4. Hello, I haven't posted on these forums, but I've been here since Oblivion. I've just started making a mod that adds a new guild, that is about the size of the DBH in members. They are artifact hunters looking for new loot. I'm looking for someone who wants to work with me. I have the gist of the storyline down, although there is still plenty of room for ideas. My only requirements are that you know the basics (pretty much the first 10 CK tutorial vids), are flexible in terms of your ideas, and have the dawngaurd and dragonborn packs since the mod will be utilizing those. The person helping me will be doing the same things I'm doing, as in quest making, level design, scripting, among other things that will be required. If you only want to do one particular thing that you like, I have no problems with that either. If you're interested, friend me on steam, I have the same name. Any questions post them here. Cheers.
  5. Cool, thank you very much. I'll watch your tutorials for sure, just when I'm not so tired. Thanks again : )
  6. I'm looking to make some armor for a certain faction I'm working on, and I'm not quite sure where to go. I have cinema 4D and blender, so I'm looking for tutorials on making armor, although I haven't found any for either program. Can someone point me in the right direction where I can learn about making armor? I prefer video tutorials although I don't mind reading. I've looked for quite sometime myself and haven't found anything.
  7. I'd like to be able to make my own custom meshes and textures, and eventually make my own skeletons for custom npcs. I have nifscope, cinema 4d r12, and gimp. Could anyone point me to tutorials on how to use these? From what I'm getting you can work in nifscope, but other programs are more suitable for 3d modeling, and nifscope is used for importing/exporting as a nif for use in skyrim.
  8. Ok, figured it out. You do into Character Gen parts and then face tinting color.
  9. Id like to change my dark elf's (custom NPC I made) skin tone to something darker. how would I got about doing that?
  10. I'm making a city, and I put it in an outside cell so that you can see night and day. The problem I'm having is that in game, When I'm looking from one end of the city to another, I can't see a few houses and the wall that I have surrounding the city in the back. Any ideas on how to fix this, or is the only solution to make the city smaller?
  11. Hello Nexus community. I'm from ClaneModdingResources and we're looking for quite a few more people to help out with a ton of mods we have planned, the biggest being the addition of the Black Marsh. We are easy going, help each other out a lot, and value everyone's opinions and ideas. We only have a small amount of members currently, so we're looking to expand so we can cover more ground faster. If you have a particular mod idea that puts in more content (quest, some sort of guild, etc) that you're looking to do, then look no further, as you're welcome to extend your creativity into Black Marsh, and you'll have a group of people ready to help. We do have an application ready for you, and it's rather quick to fill out, and at the end you'll be asked to do a small trial mod. This is there for quality-control purposes. These trial mods are quick to do, and require basic knowledge (Each of them can be done by reading a few CKwiki tutorials). There is at least one of us active everyday of the week, if you have any questions or need help with something. So if you're interested, please apply, we'd love to see more members soon. Cheers. 12. Hey all. I'm part of a small team that's doing a Shadowscale mod, and I'm looking to get some help for my part. I'm in the midst of making a dungeon called "City of the Dead" and I'm having trouble designing a city that I like. Also, we are generally looking for someone who is good with scripting quests, as we'd like to implement more advanced quests. Also I'm looking for someone who can come up with a good story, so our dungeon would feel unique. For details, friend me on steam (I'm Dudeitzchronic). This is my first mod, so bear with me. Preferably, I'd like you to stay with the group and continue to help with the mod after this dungeon, but that's your choice. Cheers.
  13. So at the top of the render window, it shows 0/157mb, and it goes up as you add things in. So, I'm working on an interior cell, and I have that. Now, I want to make a cave with a small city in it, but I fear I'll hit the 157mb before finishing. So, my question really is, can I bypass it, what happens if I bypass it, and is there a way to bypass it? I'd be really hard for me to split this into multiple cells.
  14. Hi. I'm looking for a saved game of a character that has completed the Dark Brother Hood, Thieves guild, and maybe main story line. I don't care about anything else. If someone knows were one is, I'd be grateful.
  15. Hi. I've played a lot of Skyrim for the first month it was out, and got 126 hours on it. I've done most of the things on two characters that I played through, one was a vampire stealth assassin and the other was a destruction orc warrior. After getting a few cool mods, I started playing again as a high elf mage only, and I'm going to try things like speech and alchemy, which I haven't before. Now what I was thinking would be cool, if after you become essentially the top guy in whatever of the 4 guilds, you can choose 1 to specialize in. Like, you can add more members, that have their own quest lines and they are unique for every guild? And Maybe there will be like a guild continuation quest, like uncovering an operation that was just using the emperor as a puppet, and your dark-brotherhood questing isn't over? Or some more mage items pop up, or the companions turn into a much bigger mercenary group, and things like that. I haven't modded much before, but I'm learning things like Jawa and whatnot. I will try to do this when the CK comes out, but maybe someone more experienced than me should at least revise my work. So what do you guys think? Cool or lame?
