  1. how do I make the dummy files? not really sure what the file structure of fall out is.
  2. Not really sure how to extract voice files. was thinking of modding a character with few lines and setting them up to be a proper follower/wife. Just have a friend redo some of their base liens and add more. Though its not likely the lips end up moving for new lines without the CK.
  3. Really looking for help from lore nuts thinking out this character before I go anywhere near trying to make them. I was reading through the lore a bit after playing the game. I have to admit I haven't played a game in the series since daggerfall. I was wondering why no one else raised in the area followed Talos. There are plenty of Dunmer in grey quarter and I'm sure others grew up else where in Skyrim. One of them could have easily decided to follow Talos just like any other diety. When you grow up in the culture things like that happen. The idea was to take the genetic predispositions and see what would happen with a mix of cultures. With the longer life expectancy than nords it would make for a character with a longer lasting grudge against the end of talos worship. They would be seen as an oddity and an outcast by many people. It could provide with an intersting follower. I'd likely make them a girl cause well, its easier on me to find a voice for amung people I know and would be a character I'd enjoy having around mine. Toss them a mix of restoration, destruction, heavy armor, sneak, and two handed. These are just thoughts, would prefer helpful discussion. Doesn't have to be a Dunmer but it seemed the most likely candidate. Someoen that could sympathize with ulric's goal and still face the racial discrimination.
  4. New NPCs, new quests, expanding on systems and concepts things already in game.
  5. Everyone wants different options so there will be lots of mods. balancing mods, power gaming mods, difficulty ramping mods, utility mods. There are lots of ways to go about any one topic and when the tools come out, people will all have their own custom tailored experiences. Thats whats so great bout mods. There is nothing wrong in discussing a more balanced approach for those that want one thats more balanced.
  6. Thats why I offered a balance suggestion to allow it for people that want more diverse enchantments instead of bonus stacking. Each ring after the first reduces the effectiveness of all ring enchants by a %. It could work. It would allow for the "why can't I wear multiple rings" and keep some semblance of balance. The usual story in RPGS is that magic jewelry that close together interferes with the other's powers.
  7. Add teaching someone music to woo a girl to the mara love quests?
  8. Now just suppose, each ring after the first reduced the effect of all rings by an amount. There would end up being an optimal number of rings but it would allow for more variety and less stacking.
  9. I want to focus primarily on family, love, and relationship mods. I like the whole getting married and having your own house thing. However, it would be nice to have kids, adopt, have friends visit, and jealous characters who fell for you but didn't get picked starting up rivalry. I also feel, while the voice actors are great, they are over used too much. I plan on at least trying to get fans to pick characters and revoice them. if people like the new voice set they can add it in. This would add more variety to the voices already in the game. Tired of meeting a new character and going "Wait, thats so and so from that other city!". Those are the kinds of mods I'd likely focus on. Also, more pets. Though, I think, a lot of people are gonna be working on pet mods.
  10. People would just need to extract models from the previous games. Not so hard really.
  11. I agree with you there. However, part of the lore is that the college has fallen on hard times. Thats what it should end up like once you become archmage. You should be able to revitalize it and get it to where it needs to be. Quests to spread a good name for the college so more people attend. That saying, there should still be more activity at the start than there is.
  12. For me, what would make the perfect skyrim would be to start a new faction from any hold. A third option if you will. Then take over the other holds and drive out those haughty elves, asinine imperials, and stormcloak bigots. Also, there are many more ways it could be a more immersive experience. I am not a big fan of game mechanic changes as the main way to look at whats wrong. Why don't all your friends visit your home from time to time? They should come say hello. Why not celebrate a holiday? Why not help improve a town and finally drive out one of those stupid jarls and impose new rules yourself? Get rid of corruption or become more corrupt yourself. Those are the kinds of mods I like to see in games.
