  1. Falmer are the race that LIVES underground. They were snow elves. If they didn't go undeground, they are not falmers -- and nobody have seen a Snow Elf since. Nobody have seen a Snow Elf in ages and there is quite a few decades since they dissapeared. I believe there would be a lot of information about them if they lived: They don't. We got goblin-like creatures now. You mean the Falmer we got now or the Snow Elves? One is possible, one is just as weird as Dwemer race. Snow Elves are gone, sad but true. They are now Falmers, bloodthirsty things. There is also no way to "turn" back evolution: Since evolution only goes 1 way. He was in a totally different plane when the accident happened. He returned and spent the last decades looking at the accident and wondering what happened. The Dwemer could also speak to each other with their minds, so he would know if anybody else survived. I am not sure how loose you guys thin the lore is. Because it isn't. Snow Elves can't come back and the Dwemer can't come back. Returning either would be as lore frienly as getting a spaceship into Skyrim. If somebody wants to make it, then sure. But don't fool yourself: It won't be any lore friendly. Snow Elves turned to goblins and there is only 1 Dwemer recorded since the era of Morrowind. Neither can "pop" back in. You could make Falmer a playable race, but they are also bloodthirsty and can't see. Lovely mix, if I may say so. And in case you wanted proof "The Falmer were once a proud people with an unusually high skill at magic. They had a strong resistance to frost as their skin was coated with a thin layer of blue-white ice. They inhabited Skyrim before the Nords returned from Atmora, and were responsible for the Night of Tears. They had a civilization which rivaled even the Altmer of the Summerset Isles. They had their own language, named Falmer, which was written using a unique alphabet.[1] They were purported to use spears and archery in combat" Straight from Elder Scrolls pages

Saying that they are not is like saying Dwemer aren't dwarves or altmer aren't high elves. It's totally feasible that some escaped elseware. As for the Dwemer, your reply makes me think that you didn't even read the original post. The point was that the dwemer that come back were trapped in oblivion when the dwemer disappeared so they COULD NOT have communicated with Yagrum Bagarn just as he could not communicate with the rest of his dwemer brothers when he was in oblivion. And don't talk to me about what's "lore friendly" or not, I've played TES since Arena, and judging from the content of your comments you are just paraphrasing from Elder Scrolls Wiki. You know what other race that was "gone" and could never "pop back in" dragons. So i suggest you just stop being a total prick about everything And seriously, why comment if you don't even read the original post?
  3. Why? they are at the same height as everybody else. Dwemers are elves, only called "Dwarf" beause the giants were the first to tell others about them. Everybody is a dwarf for a giant. I don't really see Dwemer as a playbable race, since they are gone. And the Falmer I might see as a race, but it needs some heavy twisted story to come with it. Mostly because the Dwemer dissapeared in the midst of a war, and the Falmer are still bloodthirsty for revenge. They would easily run off an murder cities if they could stand being on the surface. The race would have to be an experiment where somebody manage to get the rage out of a Falmer, and gives them back the ability to see. There is also the fact that everybody is afraid of Falmers, so how would people react to you being one? Yea but the point of the post was the NOT all Dwemer disappeared. And if one can still be around why can't others?
  4. Did they though? So there is no possibility that any of them chose not to go underground after their defeat? And during the entire bloody war with the nords NONE of them may have fled to another part of tamriel? And that the long held nord myth that falmer (the original race) survived somewhere above ground and mess with nord society has no basis in fact? All I'm saying is that if anyone makes a mod with the original falmer as a race, there are plenty of loopholes in the lore that can be exploited to make it fit
  5. Okay so I feel like someone could make this work and I think it would make for a really cool and popular mod. As for making the lore work. Dwemer all disappeared right? Not quite, in morrowind Yagrum Bagarn was still around because he was in the "outer realms" when the dwemer disappeared so he somehow stayed. So what if a group of dwemer were trying to mess with a daedra (like with Azura and the box) but said daedra planned for it and trapped the dwemer in a plane of oblivion for thousands of years. This way these dwemer would not have disappeared and the daedra could use its immense magical influence to port them forward in time or keep them in a comatose like state for all these years. To bring them back maybe a rival daedra releases them back into the mortal realm. As for the falmer, some of them that fled Solstheim, after losing to the nords, somehow made their way to the summerset isles where they were harbored by their altmari cousins. This could possibly explain why the isles are so restricted when it comes to travel and exploration, as to keep the remaining falmer safe. The thalmor, who have a lot of resentment towards the races of men, could bring back the falmer to skyrim to pretty much just spite the nords (possibly establish a falmer settlement). I would be so ecstatic if someone could make this happen, I want a boss falmer character sooooo bad (think The Snow Prince for anyone who knows what I'm talking about). If I knew absolutely anything about modding I would attempt this, but as it stands I have no clue how to do anything. So if anyone with experience doing this kind of thing wants to do it I can totally help with making up any lore to make it fit into the game.
