  1. Oh yea if someone posted a mod here thats obviously coppied, mods should do something about it. Do you know if Zero contacted mods about this issue?

    Beacause there are so many mods that get posted on here, if i was running this site as a free service it would be prety hard to keep an eye on thousands of mods. They may have not even known about it...

  2. damn... yea i guess this permision thing should be more clear. I know I didnt notice it when i got the file lol

    Also yea his last version is sill on the net and probably always will be. Thats how the internet is :confused:

     

    I recon the privacy thing should be a lot more clear but I also think Zero should get over it. This happens to everyone from the whole music industry to the film industry to the software industry.

    Basically if you post something online you have to be aware that someone somewhere will most likely rip off your work. Even if they accepted the agreement whats to stop them doing what they want anyway?

     

    People accept the agreement on games and software but obviously still rip them off. Its a shame people did rip Zero off, I didnt even know because this was the only nightingale mod I used. But its one of those things you should almost expect and not get too mad about.

     

    I mean at the end of the day the fans of the mod miss out on future versions. But anyone who wants to rip off his work will always be able to find it somewhere online.

    That looks like a recolor of Zero's work; he's not going to be happy. :confused:

     

    And, from what I've heard, people coping his work when he explicitly stated you could not is the reason he pulled ALL of his stuff off Skyrimnexus.

     

     

    I see that would explain it...thats a shame it was really nice work. But sayiing that he cant really enforce this, once something is on the internet people can do what they want. Its like tv & film companies saying dont rip off their stuff. Once its out there its prety hard to enforce. Also why does NMM say theres a new version when the files not even on Nexus.

  5. Does anyone know what happened to nightingale prime mod and that realistic potions&poisons mod? On NMM its saying theres a version 2.0 of the nightingale mod but when i click on the site says no file No file exists for this ID. This also happens with the potions & poisons one. Both of these were popular files, anyone know what happend to them? Im not sure exactly what the potions&poisons mod was called because it had different versions. Im using plain glass style.
  6. someone please help....the game thinks Fallion done the ritual and keeps telling me to talk to him. Hes back at his house, dont turn up to the ritual site. The game points to him at his house saying "speak to fallion" but he has nothing to say about the quest
  7. How can I finish this with the console? Because im prety sure the game thinks Fallion performed the ritual, but he hasnt. Hes back at his house and staying there. I waited at the ritual site he dont turn up...

    The quest marker just points to him at his house, saying "speak with fallion"

  8. Hey guys I was trying to cure vampirism but I've run into a problem. At the point where I have to "Meet Fallion at Dawn" I was blood-starved so I travelled to Morthal to feed. But somehow this triggered that part of the quest. And now Fallion is back at his house, and the quest keeps saying "Speak to Fallion" but he has nothing to say about the quest. I quicksaved after I fed on someone so Im really stuck here. Anyone help would be great...I have no idea what to do :(

  10. I was just wondering if there was a mod out there that changes the npc stare distance, or if there was any way of actually doing this. I find it very odd when there is a group of people talking to eachother but they all stare at you, even if someone else is giving a speech :confused:
  11. I was wondering if there was a setting to increase the water LOD distance. Most things look fine for me at a distance but the water really stand out. Even when im relatively close to the water, like at a dock I can clearly see where the texture changes. I got realistic waters mod, so it looks great close to me but in the distance it looks really strange as the water detail has not loaded. And from a mountain the water prety much turns into fog. Water just looks gray...

  13. I don't have either, so I can't say 100% sure, but I don't see how Skyrim+NMM should be too much different from Oblivion+OBMM with regard to updating mods and save file issues. Although, I could be completely wrong. :D

     

    lol ok well the only mods out for skyrim so far are texture mods as creation kit has not been released yet. is it safe to deactivate the old version and activate the new version without running the game?

You haven't said which game, but I can say for Oblivion ( and probably Fo3 and FNV ) usually you don't have to, but if an update significantly overhauls a mod's scripts or makes changes to leveled lists, then a 'clean save' is often necessary for the new changes to work properly. Usually a mod's readme will say if this is necessary. If the author says something like "scripts rewritten from scratch!" in their readme then a clean save is most likely a good idea to avoid weird problems. Mods that change leveled lists might also require sleeping/waiting until cells reset for new items to start spawning.

     

    Most important thing always: Read the readme!

  15. This may be a stupid question but can someone tell me when you update mods, do you need to run the game after you deactivate the current version of the mod and before installing the new version? like do you have to deactivate, run game, save, exit, activate new version, run game?
