  1. So there were a couple of requests I saw from months and months ago but it does not appear this was made and I thought maybe people have gotten better at modding so here it goes. Flight is fun for some people but I'd prefer being able to glide. I would love to be able to climb to the top of a mountain and see where I want to go from there and just jump off. Now some people have reccomended a steampunk style glider but that feels hard to implement. Would need to function like an upside down mount with custom animations or something. A slowfall spell would probably be easiest but I think in order to make it feel like gliding it would have to drastically boost forward momentum. And also not let you hover and back up. I'm not sure how someone would want to do this but it would be very swell if there was some sort of light quest that required you to build/acquire the device/ability. Please? :)
  2. Works wonderfully. There are two additions that I think would make this mod more attuned to it's purpose. 1) Can only use power from areas that fast travel is allowed. This is probably the most important improvement. 2) Cannot use when enemies are nearby.

  4. Awesome Scarab thanks. I don't know how you feel about the Workshop but definitely let me know if you upload it there. I personally find it to be very convenient. I'll try it out as soon as Nexus is ready to let me download.
  5. Daily power sounds awesome. I actually was talking with the maker of The Northern Ranger's Camping about this (along with a bunch of other stuff so i doubt this will be made by him). What would REALLY be exceptional is a table and chair set that went along with the various camping mods. Once your camp was set up and you warmed you character by the fire (frostfall mod yay!) you could sit at this table and activate a map that's on the top of it "charting the course hom". Feel free to PM me Scarab if you fiddle with this :)
  6. I love the eat/sleep/drink mods but the eat part is a bit ruined by the fact that I can carry 50 stews in my pockets. I thought about improving their weight but then I would just end up with plenty of food for the week and not enough space for loot. Has anyone made or does anyone want to make a mod that adds decay to any food item in the players inventory? Obviously some foods would last longer than others but for simplicity we could say Older than one day: Stale; suffer minor debuff for short duration Older than two days: Old: Suffer medium debuff for medium duration Older than three days: Gross: Suffer medium debuff for high duration Older than 4 days: Rotten: Your character is puking for the next 24 hours :P

  8. Not quite the same but it would serve my purpose I suppose. Things like this don't matter to everyone, but I'm playing a ranger-ish type character and I think there is definitely a different feel between casting "Find your way home" and pretending your character just walked and opening an astral gate through space-time with the arcane forces of bla bla bla. Still though that is a cool mod and I will look into it, so thank you for the reply :) Also I don't want to be able to teleport immediately back the way I came.
  9. Agreed. When Midas is doing his work with gold magic, this is not some amazing feat. All modding takes a bit of hard work but filing this mod under "too hard" seems a bit ridiculous. I think this would be an incredibly successful mod if someone undertook it.
  10. I would love this. But I would prefer if the enchants were toned down a bit. I mean I don't want my cool sword so covered in flame it looks silly. How many people do you see walking around whiterun with flaming swords? It would be exceptionally nice if the intensity of the effect scaled up with the dmg. Ideally though I would want my frost enchantment to just barely be noticeable and my flame enchant to just make the blade glow a little red or something.
  11. So I love to use No Fast Travel mods but it makes owning a home a bit pointless because I never know when I will make it back to that side of the map. I was thinking it would be swell if someone could make a mod for me that added a teleport function that teleported to a specific object that I would place in whichever home I decided to use. Is this possible/as easy as it sounds? I'd make it myself if someone wanted to teach me some papyrus :)
  12. So I recently downloaded the Northern Ranger Camping mod and love the way it works. It gave me a lot of ideas, one of which is this. What if (as part of that mod or separate) you could place an archery target. When you activated this target it would place you so many meters away from the target and you would get to shoot 3 arrows. Idk if it's too hard to detect if it hits the bullseye or not but that would be swell. In any case depending on your shots the target gives you either straight archery xp or say a plus 5% learning bonus for each successful shot. This learning bonus lasts 24 hours so it gives you incentive to make practicing archery a nightly routine before you hit the bedroll. This same concept would be extended to include exercises for mages and warriors if someone had the ambition.

  14. So I'm just starting to get used to the CK and I'm wondering how to place oil in dungeons (the stuff thats in bleak falls that lights on fire when you hit it with a flame spell or lamp)? Is it an object or do I have to script it?
  15. I think crossbows would be awesome as long as they were balanced. If it was too powerful, no matter how slow the reload, it would be super broken in stealth kills. Maybe a 10-20% dmg increase over bows and a 50% longer reload speed so that it's either a good stealth weapon or a nice one off for a warrior about to engage in melee. You could also have different versions of crossbows. I.E. Light xbows have the aforementioned dmg to reload relationship while Heavy xbows do 1.7x dmg but cannot gain a benefit from sneak attacks due to their unwieldiness. So warriors would run around with massive ballista-esque xbows to pull critters with, while stealthers used the light ones.

  18. It would not affect them. Necromancy as it exists in the conjuration tree would be left alone. So NPC necromancers would function the same way.
  19. Okay some of you are going to hate me for even suggesting this lol. But I think this would be an awesome diversion quest. Someone approaches you saying that they have been trying to sell their house for years but no buyers. Why? ZOMBIES You are told that if you handle the zombie infestation the house is yours for a mere 100 gold. There would be 2 instances of the house (maybe even castle), The one that you arrive in during the quest and the one you live in. The second one would exist in the world but be locked until you got the key from completing the quest. When You accepted the quest you would be teleported to the inside of the zombified instance and all of your equipment would be removed and you would be silenced. Inside the house you could, just like COD zombies, purchase swords/bows/spells off of the wall. Possibly wall mounts would be placed with scripts. You would buy these using a currency that fell from the zombies that spawned. Unlike COD zombies however, there would be a "Win" to complete the quest. However in the spirit of zombies and to provide an out for people who forgot to save :P if you lose you should be prompted with a retry or an exit. Common you know you want it :)

  21. I tend to love realism and immersion mods. Still as soon as I started downloading mods I wanted a snowboarding mod :P I think if there is someone out there willing to take up this challenge it would be greatly appreciated by the community. Forget all the combat stuff for now, just being able to snowboard down the awesome mountains bethesda has provided would be a dream.
  22. I like this idea. Anyone want to make it? Would be a plus if they made weapons do like 1 dmg during a spar to represent light hits.
  23. I find the Vanilla Necromancy to be a rather half assed attempt at pasting the flavor of necromancy onto the conjuration tree. What I am proposing is adding a whole new skill and perk tree for necromancy, as it's own separate Magic (the way it should have been). Conjuration Vs Necromancy Right now there is very little difference between atronachs and raise zombie. Functionally, this is how I think they should differ. Atronachs: Cast on the fly, consistently medium power, can constantly re-summon. Necromancy: Zombies/Skeletons should, rather than being summoned on the fly, be crafted at an altar. It would make use of things like skulls and daedra hearts and soulstones to allow you to craft a unique pet that lasts until it is killed. You should also be able to equip any items you like on the undead minion without worrying about the equipment being lost. There should be a "purge" spell added that kills your minion wherever it is at (in case it's lost) and returns it's inv to you. Support: Once you craft a minion you should expect to keep it for 5-10 levels before upgrading. During this time you will have to maintain and upgrade your pet. It should have a "vitality" stat that essentially means it wears out over time. The corpse becomes just too degraded and must be replaced eventually and in the meantime you must travel to an altar every now and again and sew him up. Anyone else think this sounds cool? Anyone want to start making this mod? I just started with the creation kit so I'm not going to be able to do it in the near future but will gladly do anything I can to help :P
