  1. Well...

My opinion about what will happen with mods for DA:I is expressed in the second post to this topic.

My opinion about what BioWare think of mods in general is expressed in the seventh.

My opinion about what BioWare think of full full add-on adventures like these:

    Alley of Murders

Baldurs Gate II Redux - Module 1 Irenicus' Dungeon

Dragon Age Dark Times ACT I

    Fragments of Ferelden

    Pints and Quarts Tavern

    Thirst

    Swamp Tower Adventure

    The Carrion Birds - Quest

    THE ISLE OF BROKEN DREAMS

    Kal Sharok

Rose of Eternity - Family and Country

    Dragon Age Uprising Act I

    Trouble in Rainesfere

    And many, many more...

is that the developers of DA:I would be absolutely delighted if anyone were able to create something like that.

As I said, every BioWare person I've spoken with or seen comment in public has been supportive of mods and modders, but a DA:I Toolset just isn't on on their to-do list. And the last time anyone from DICE said anything about the subject was over three years ago, and then it was only a "Maybe someday..."

Since Frostbite is mod-unfriendly, does this also include appearance mods and/or appearance overhauls? In DA2 there were quite a number of them and based what I do know of such things it would be possible, no?

  2. Do you use the Mod Werewolf Mastery?....And if so, did you set Wolves to non-hostile? Wolves share faction with Vampires, if you have any Mod that allies you with Wolves the Vampires will treat you as an ally also.

You mention you disables all Mods...the ally thingie sometimes bakes in for some reason, even across games.

I think you found it. It must be werewolf mastery.

  3. So for the past 4 playthroughs which I have had to discontinue, vampires will not attack me and treat me as friendly. I am not a vampire or anything from a friendly faction. I have tried using the console, disabling all mods, etc. but nothing seems to work and I am at my wit's end. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I am out of ideas. Thank you in advance.

  4. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help. I never realised I had this problem but all my battle staves, Yari, etc are listed as battle axes and my nodachis and bastard swords are listed as great swords and do not benefit from their special perks. Does anyone know how I can fix the description so they benefit from the special perks, i.e. Bastard Sword should be a Bastard Sword, not a Great Sword? Many thanks in advance!

  5. What exactly is wayfarer or warfarer? Is it a new skill with dragonborn??? And there is no light weaponry skill, only one handed and two handed (unless you modded that part i guess, or it is also part of dragonborn)

It is part of the mod Skyrim Redone, if you do not have, I strongly suggest you use it, Skyrim is unplayable for me without it.

  6. So I have been thinking about doing an interesting run with an Argonian (I use Skyre as well as Creation Overhaul) combining magic and combat; the concept of Warlock came to mind but I have been trying to define what a Warlock is? does it involve necromancy or something else? So far I have been thinking about the following possibilities:

    Male Argonian

    1. Smithing, Heavy Weaponry, Conjuration, Restoration, Seechcraft, Light Armour

    2. Wayfarer, Alchemy, Restoration, Conjuration, Marksmanship, Light Armour

    3. Warfarer, Restoration, Alchemy, Smithing, Light Weaponry, Alteration

I am open to suggestions; what exactly would be a good set of skills for a Warlock-like character?

  7.

A wild guess would be that you are running out of VRAM (especially if you play on high settings and with lots of high def textures from mods).

    What computer are you using?

Toshiba, Quosio X505, 2.40 GHz, 4.00 GB...off the top of my head, a kind of old gaming laptop (I know, not optimal but it's what I have). I have setting at medium now, I guess I could try low and see what happens....do have lots of high texture mods though...suggestions? and thanks for the help

Then it's definitly your VRAM reaching its limit. First of all you could try this nifty tool out: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12801

If that doesn't help, there aren't many solutions sadly. You could either try removing some of custom high definition textures added by mods, lowering the overall graphic settings or simply getting better hardware

    Hope this helps!

Thank you, unfortunately, the link does not work. What is the name of the mod that you are linking to?

  9. to escape.

Basically every hour or two Skyrim will just freeze in place, be in game or a loading screen and there is nothing I can do short of shutting down the pc and starting again. Nothing else works, not ctr del esp or atl f4, nothing. Is there anything I can do about this or a common cause? because it really takes away from immersion. Thank you in advance.
