The Battlemage - A Massacre In Skyrim (Character Build)
gofortheko replied to TheBalance's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
honestly all you need is smithing and enchanting to 100 asap, then you can enchant your gear with double magic reduction buffs. I have found that restoration with 100% mana reduction is absurd. You can just heal yourself at will, and use the block spell spell and be immune to pretty much any magic. -
Thats too much work, why bother with it when I can just murder it, come to think of it, its much more fun to murder the horse than try to work with it. So a. its easier to kill it b. its more fun to kill it. Sounds like I win at skyrim!

I kill them all, because its fun.

I had to murder him, he kept breaking my stealth by aggroing everything in site when I fast traveled to a location. For whatever reason if you have a follower or someone on your side, shadow warrior doesnt work, which is why I never travel with a companion or if I do I raise some dead and sacrifice them. Still there have been three times already where I was in deep trouble because I was facing a million mobs, with an elder dragon all because my lame horse initially aggroed them. So after the last time I hide and back stabbed him. Good bye ye beast who kept getting me in trouble. Oh yeah, he has INSANE regeneration.

I voted for imperials, since I was forced to be against Ulfric the racist. I would rather pick a well established and known tyranny than a new tyrant of which you have no clue what he will do.

Where is the neither button!!!

Should i join the imperial legion or stormcloaks?
gofortheko replied to TheMysteriousTraveler's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I really wish something could be done with the blades, because I dont like either faction. Stormcloaks are racists, and the imperials tried to murder you. I regularly kill all killable npcs in both camps. I just wish there was a third faction, like the blades to rise up and join, but then again they are racists against all dragons, so they have their flaws. Still just wish there was some third party that wasnt racist, and didnt have an agenda to murder me. -
I was actually thinking about leveling up my two hand to do this for fun. I plan leveling this guy up to 80ish so I can probably do it.
-
Except by elder dragons on master difficulty since you wont be able to one shot them, and a shield comes in handy against them. Plus like I said its for my own personal cool factor, having my shield block out their face as I slit their throat is very satisfying. I spent 40 something levels as a dual wield assassin never needing a shield, but avoided the main story line, but now dragons make it difficult to avoid using one. Besides a dagger and shield to me is awesomesauce. The silent roll is real cool as well with a shield.
-
I highly recommend using a light armor shield. There is nothing better than watching your shield cover your victims face and you slipping in your dagger to slit their throat, its like being that extra level of stealthy. Pure unadulterated awesomeness.

The Quest is called "The Silver Hand", it is the quest that Aela gives you right after becoming a werewolf. Just go there and complete that quest and she should leave. IF you have not become a werewolf, go to the companions and do the quest line to become one, then finish the quest The Silver Hand, and my guess is Aela will go away after that. But I think the quest with Farkas prior to the one with Aela would do it. Not sure if she is counting as a follower or not.

Having 2 zombie dremora? Can you kill a summoned Dreamora then raise it?
-
Oh they do, and their reward for murdering someone else, is I drop them as thrall and take over the person they murdered. Coincidentally is there anything else cooler than having two trolls as your thralls.
-
Level up conjuration to 100 for the sole purpose of raising your recently murdered victims and make them do your bidding?
-
I know this may sound stupid, but did you finish the quest she asks of you right after you change then wake up from being a werewolf. Both Farkas and Alea have quests where they get rid of you companions and follow you in order to complete their quest. The reason I ask is I remember getting her and using her as a companion for a while on missions that didnt pertain to the one she wanted me to do, and she gave those two options. I wanted someone to carry my junk so I finished the quest she wanted me to do and then she left. Just look for a quest with shining hand, thats probably it.

Stealth Necessary for Dark Brotherhood?
gofortheko replied to buttersnatch's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Well I have an Assassin/Conjurer who has 100 sneak, all the perks in sneak, 100 in conjuration, and I walk into the city and murder like 4 guards in a row in like 5 seconds. Nothing cooler than seeing your bounty go up to 3000, then immediately go away since you killed all witnesses. Then I raise them up to be my thralls and sacrifice them to dragons. Its win win. -
Well one problem is I was using two daggers, once the sneak attack is up, youre better off switching to two sword/axe/mace combos, since daggers dont get + one hand damage buffs from enchantments. (not sure why the one hand perks work, and the enchantments dont, probably not to Overpower sneak attack, but I got the DB gloves so I do x30 damage which is enough to one hit more things). I am going to run with a shield more for concept, because a dagger wielding assassin with uses a shield is dope.

I think its a byproduct of how powerful magic has been in all their previous game, with the spell creator. There are some decent mods out there for magic, but basically if you plan on going high level, pick a weapon type, armor type smithing and enchanting and call it a day.
-
No it shouldnt, its just a thank you to modders, and me giving reasons why you should thank them. I am not requesting them (well there is already a necromancy mod I use to reanimate thralls above 30) and I am sure there is already an illusion mod to have their spells work about 40. Point is for how great this game is, no one would go above 40 if they were a pure mage without the modding community, due to Bethesda short shortsightedness.
-
Ive come to that conclusion after hours upon hours of gameplay. I use two Blade of Woes (pickpocketed Artmis for fun, glad I did later) and it gives me all kinds of trouble trying to fast hot key them. Anyway, I honestly think I would rather have a shield for those battles where you cant assassinate everyone immediately, than having no defenses, also since you only need one dagger to assassinate I dont see the benefit of using two weapons. Going to try the shield now, since I started the main quest line, and at 44 its brutal fighting dragons in light armor.
-
This game would really suck for magic users. Sadly their spells are just made for level 30 to 40, no higher. I mean what good is your master level spell going to do you at level 80, when the highest thing you can reanimate is level 30 or 40? What good is it going to do when your illusion magic only works up to level 40? I maintain that they didnt make this game to realistically go beyond level 40, at least for magic users. I just want to give out a hardy thanks from us moochers who dont mod (like myself, never had the talent or patience, id rather be murdering guards, and reanimating them as my thralls) for making the game go beyond level 40.

Ok update I am near 100 murders now, but it has slowed since I am having so much fun resurrecting people I kill. Nothing more fun than getting a challenge to a wizard duel, have my whiterun guards kill him, then I resurrect the challenger to serve as my minion. I am really glad I leveled up conjuration, because on master level I have almost no chance against an elder dragon one on one, without my pets. Sometimes I just hand out in town and have my guards attack other guards, its fun.

There are some missions where I think you will have trouble, where you could get overwhelmed. I think honestly you should run a mage with illusion, I mean what better reason to use illusion than for the DB storyline. Its good for a RP sense, yeah hey mr assassin you can sneak around and kill, but I can INSTANTLY disappear right in front of people hahaha.
