  1. Well looks like I help someone learn a life lesson...or maybe helped them remember that life lesson and yes talking about things helps. I love the internet

you can go and talk about your feeling to complete strangers but remain completely anon. Funny you say it was well written cause I haven't sleeped in 3 days now. Hmm found the holy grail....should I show it to Monty Python??

Edit: I swear I'm going to lose all faith in humanity at the first person who doesn't understand that joke.

Monty Python, eh? Hmm...perhaps you should invite miss Grail to watch that with you. Nothing says romance like hilarious comedy.

Life lesson learned, begrudgingly remembered, then finally let off my chest after nearly forgetting about it. Thanks for the opportunity.

Oh, and here's your faith in humanity. I think you dropped it.

  2. I found Blacksnake's story to be very well written and it generally made me feel good. Kudos to you, sir.

It was actually inspirational enough to make me post on this thread again, after my long break of about...2 hours? Maybe? Ah well.

I too have some experience with those "almost super model hot but extremely high maintenance girls that are really bitchy". God how I hate them now. I, foolishly, found myself quite interested in one who I didn't know too well. She seemed pretty smart and decently nice...but jeez, bad decision there. It never went anywhere, which was frustrating as hell, but I guess it's a blessing because eventually she just started being totally self-centered and stopped (did she ever start?) regarding me as a person, and just as a living tech support phone line, only without the phone. I feel totally stupid for ever being interested in her, and when I consider how much time I wasted on this conceited little witch, I get filled with rage.

The stupid thing is, this happened less than a year after I stopped liking a proper girl (I was a bit too young then) who was genuinely kind, incredibly smart, and funny as all heck. Luckily we stayed friends (though a bit distant), but I am now just the teeniest bit confused about the whole thing because we started talking again and I remember why I liked her in the first place. Ah well, such is life.

Since this post didn't contain I like, here: I like getting this off my chest. I feel much better now. I think I'll post things more like this from now on.

I know half the people here didn't read this, or didn't care, but if you did, thanks.

Oh, and Blacksnake: congratz man! I believe you may have found the holy grail. Just don't lose it.

  3. I'm pretty sure nothing I can say now could possibly make my situation any worse, and seeing as nobody seems to understand me anyways, then what the fek. Obviously no one slagging me for insulting Mos is willing to read even slightly deeper into writing, or even the writing itself, because I've called Mos a "creepy old man" for quite a while now. He actually started it. Seeing as I have no issue with Mos at all, it stands to figure that my comical title for him was not an insult, but just a comical title. Amazing. I am particularly surprised that it has not been let go because I have explicitly stated TWICE that it was a joke. I cannot be held accountable if someone takes something too seriously, but once again: Carah, it was a joke, I'm sorry. I don't give a fekking damn if she's blocked me, but could someone else at least tell her?

Aeryn, if you wish to fence, then let us fence. I warn you though, I do not wear kiddy gloves. I wear no gloves at all. However, in light of the fact that I have been so misinterpreted it isn't even remotely funny, I might as well bring a wheel of cheese. Everyone will think it's a sword and find it highly offensive.

tyreil, while I'm not quite sure what a vibrosword is (Star Wars, right?), something called a "blaster" doesn't sound like it would a) be fair, and b) make me bleed, thus ruining the bloodsport.

Aeryn, again. I'm pretty sure (t/T)imihendrix asked for some Irish, without the coffee. What that means, though...

Dezi, thanks for accepting me and all, but what exactly did I push? Did I push a crippled donkey into a minefield of betrayal? Because that's what it feels like. Sort that metaphor out for yourselves.

Chesto, thanks for either not posting or not stabbing me in the face like everyone else. Apparently they're too honest for the back. Wonderful.

Frankly, I don't give a rats flying arse on meth if I've insulted someone in this post. I really don't. I said what I felt needed to be said, and if someone can't deal with non-flowery-pseudo-poetry, too fekking bad. Feh. Unless it's requested otherwise, I may leave this thread. Free up some space in my bookmarks. Good day to you all.

I like being brutally honest in what I feel.

  4. Well...umm...the fek? Actually, I was going to praise (t/T)imi for being apparently on my side, but figured "Hey, war on two fronts here, I need my mouth free of feet and my feet on the ground." Though really, I wouldn't classify an arena match and choice words to be war...whatever.

I like that I had to read through Chesto's post more than 5 times to write that, and I still don't get it.

I like that I have at least one (two?) neutral party in my battle, even if he is more of a journalist.

I'd like to know what Boudica is...

I like that Chesto thinks there are farmers and/or prairies in BC. HAH!

@Chesto: their love-child will be a nexus of horrible powers, and they shall call her Tes.

@Carah: in all seriousness, I meant no harm. I hope you can find it in your heart (you're Canadian, you have one) to forgive me. That is, if you're not joking. If you are, try adding <sarcasm> tags.

  5. I'd like for everyone to lay off me, or I'll sick the Dread Sheep on you.

I wouldn't like to battle Tyreil, partially because I have no problem with him, but mostly because a blood stained sword is hard to explain to the cops.

I like that I have some choice words for Carah, such as: "It was a joke", "It's all in good fun", "I don't consider Mos to be creepy or old in a bad way, or any way beyond what he considers himself", "I find Mos to be quite likable and a pretty decent guy", and "I'm only saying these things because what you said couldn't have been a joke; everyone knows that the internet is serious business". There. Everything solved, and no taste of foot in my mouth.

I like that Carth's "too early" is my mid-afternoon.

I like spending most of my afternoon wandering aimlessly (or, more accurately, to a specified place) around town with a girl, then coming home to teach her to play Halo.

  6. I could've sworn Mos already said that. Having your head 200% with your heart is dangerous, Mos.

    *cough* creepy old man *cough*

I like extremely thinly veiled insu-I mean coughs.

    Yes. Thinly veiled coughs.

  7. Whoa dude, back off. I have like, swords and stuff. Apparently. Also hair.

I also find girls chatting about the vidja games...interesting (because amusing would get me beaten), so why don't we put our similarities right out into the open and discuss things we like.

    I like the vidja games.

I'd like to know what republic Carth belongs to, and where he got that stylish orange outfit.

I'd like Chesto to start posting again.

I'd like Sarya to come back. We won't mention bears.

  8. Yes, I agree with Carth McIdentitycrisis. We deserve something. I'd be content with some cheese, even.

    Keeping on subject...

I like staying up til midnight chatting, and then playing halo.

I like the idea of having a website that deals exclusively in Goddess Mods. I would just love to know what exactly you could do to modify a goddess.

  9. I like being totally contrary to things people say, and then inciting discussions about them even though I knew somewhat what said person was talking about.

I still like being a pyro.

I like being completely and utterly freaked out at humanbean saying that "killing people and breaking stuff is easy".

I like that my friend is coming home from Iran on the 16th. Finally.

    I like yawn.

  10. Chesto, oh Avenging Angel, I beseech thee: Take this, it's dangerous to go alone. *hands Chesto the Dread Sheep of Finding and Stain Removal*

I like to believe that I know what the Angel is on about.

@person scheduled for execution: Beware the sheep. It comes for you.

@blacksnake: Lemme guess...you went skiing? No, no...bowling! Yes, definitely bowling.

I like the quote "I am heavy weapons guy. And THIS is my weapon."

  11. I like that Google is "not yet able to translate from English into English".

@houseatlantic: I hate flying, mostly because it's so boring. I hope you have a good time though.

If you're going with your girlfriend, who presumably speaks English, why would you need to say "du och jag babe vad sägs om det"?

Bring a torch. Or some catchy music. Trolls are weak to both.

I like that Dezi likes that I like...like...the...Aeryn...Mos...trolls...cheese!

  12. Allow me to be the first to say that I like Dezi's new avatar.

@humanbean: I too feel your pain. Mods have stolen many an hour from my Oblivion playing time.

I have no idea what that means, so I'll say this: I make a better Pyro than I do a Medic.

A few posts back I proved you wrong with, I believe, ROFLMFAOZOMGWTFBBQ...copter.

  13. I like the abbreviation ROFLMFAOZOMGWTFBBQ...copter.

I like how much Chesto posts, and how they all seem strangely relevant to things.

I like not knowing what the carp Chesto is talking about when he references me.

I like being oblivious too, myrmaad.

I like not mentioning the carboard pan-...fek.

I like that I survived my latest in a series of increasingly annoying medical tests, which happened to be an MRI. They have been, in order: Blood test, x-ray, bone scan, ultrasound, x-ray, blood test, and this MRI. They machine was from LG. It was loud. I had to listen to insipid music from high-pitched, whiny women, and high-pitched, whiny men, thanks to the radio station (95 Crave? 95 Craig? I'm not sure) and its "retro-sexual" weekend thing. Thank Azathoth that my city has a Pride Parade, else I would never have known to not listen to said radio station.

  14. I like that if I hadn't scanned a few pages of the I hate thread, I wouldn't get Mos's's's's'ss's sarcasm.

I like that I'm not going to post in or read the I hate thread, even if it means being excluded from half the stuff in this thread.

I like Chesto, in a sort of "yeah, he's cool, especially since he's British, and has a feel hound" sort of way. Also, he's not creepy like Mos.

I like that Mos edits his signature regularly, though he should change his little...title...thing to "The meanest guy you never met" to keep his reputation intact.

I like that Aeryn suffers from the same ailment as I do.

I like that Chesto, in one rambling paragraph (consisting of only 2 sentences) can reference nearly every person in this thread, as well as two horses and a race car driver.

I like (in a sort of not really way) that Chesto stole what I wanted to post for quite a while with the first in his series of like 50 posts.

I *really* like the song "My Drunken Irish Dad" from family guy. Chesto's post about pm's reminded me of it. (scroll down to see it - might be offensive to some)

  15. Personally, I'm not much for races, but the drivers who don't finish are much more interesting. What with the flames and loud noises and debris and whatnot.

I like moving on from a situation so strained I could have snapped it with a wayward sneeze, and forgetting said...what was it? Thingy. Yeah.

I...I dunno. I'll get back to you.

  16. I like that my comments have such an effect, but I also don't.

Aeryn, I meant you no harm whatsoever by what I said. Your writing style is beautiful and unique, as are your views and opinions. I would not like it at all if you left, and I'm sure everyone else feels the same way. What I meant is that my mind works in a different way from yours, and while I do like your posts, sometimes I can't manage to read through them. This is my own short-coming, not yours. I simply take far too long to understand them than I have time for, and because of this stop reading after I get the gist of it. I would not mind at all if you or anyone else didn't read my posts, and give you express permission to do just that (excluding this one). I will make an extra effort to read your posts in the future, and would very much like you to stay. I apologize.

I like that Aerin is back.

@Blacksnake: D&D is freaking awesome. I just wish I had someone to play with. I make a mean meatshield.

@Lisnpuppy: I'm not quite sure what you meant, but if you said you're leaving, please don't. We like you here.

@Dezi: I...the...except after C. Thanks? I'd really like to know what it said...but I'm sure it was nice.

@everyone: Who votes that I refrain from gnawing on my ankles anymore?

  17. I like that Toan seems to admit that things make his brain hurt. Here is the secret my friend...most of the stuff on this thread is complete BS and you can sleep through it....we'll give you the Cliff's Notes. LOL

It's not that my brain hurts, it's just that it feels like reading through a tar pit filled with poems in another language. Still no offense Aeryn, 90% of the stuff I write at the place-that-shall-not-be-named-during-the-summer-months is a bit confusing even for me. And I wrote it!

I like that Lisnpuppy considers me enough of a friend to casually call me a friend. That's nice. In a nonchalant way.

I like when...well, this needs some background.

Most every post here needs some background.

  18. I'm not sure whether or not I like the feeling I get (which increases with every read) when reading this thread. It's like standing on the outside edge of some sort of semi-diabolic dodeca-penta-deweydecimal-godzilla-banana-magaexacantaloupe-hedron, which also happens to be a huge crevice, the edges of which are surrounded by invisible walls. Which sort of makes the crevice pointless, but hey, I don't control this stuff.

I like that Fallout 3 is almost out.

I like that Battlefield Heroes will *eventually* be out.

I like/don't like that I've stopped reading Aeryn's posts, as deciphering them is too much for me (no offense, really!) and have started relying on everyone else's responses to them. My brain just does not enjoy reading free-form thought, which is probably why those little journal entries by Drizzt Do'urden in every one of R.A. Salvatore's books are so annoying, however much they may be true.

Oh, and @Chesto from a while back: I'm slowly trying to devour all those extra feet.

  19. I like that toan just completely derailed my train of thought!

I like that as well. It was my point after all. You...you wouldn't have happened to have had any hazardous or harmful material on said train, would you? I really don't want to call in the haz-mat team. Their receptionist is so rude.

*Reads any of Dezi's other posts* ...well, dang. *Picks up phone*

  20. I like that Aeryn thinks I don't know...whatever it was. I think. Maybe. Which could have possibly been right on the mark, or not, depending on the weather in yesterday.

I like not knowing whether Aeryn is speaking in a dialect thingy or simply making spelling mistakes. I also sort of like that rude jarring sensation in my head from the sheer number of commas. I see Aeryn's writing and I'm all "Ouch. But that's ok, I just wonder what it would sound like in...sound." Kinda seems like it would be like a cross between G-Man and an Irish person. Which is totally awesome.

I like that my train of though just derailed, killing 52 innocent daydreams.

  21. I like that I'm no longer lost. Phew. It was like being in limbo with only those annoyingly vague and confusing shows to watch. Y'know, Lost and Jericho...and stuff.

I like not being able to understand a word Aeryn (right? the one with the blocky guy in their sig) says. I think I'd prefer not to know what's going on.

I like that OMGWTFBBQ menu as well, Mos. You creepy old man, you.

  22. By stuff, I think I meant face and fur, though I could be wrong. It could mean tail.

I like that Dezi has started posting nearly every second...post. Damn my limited talky amount thing.

I like that Mos (still creepy and old!) misspelled "regardless" in his sig.

Aeryn is Irish? I'm so lost. And that's awesome. But still, lost. That show was confusing.

CHEEEEESSSSE FOR EEEEVEERRRYYYYOOOOONNNE!!! Wait, scratch that. Cheese for no one.

  23. I like Chesto's story, though not so much the parts involving dog+traffic...come to think of it, all that's left is a crazy old lady and same British jargon. Oh well. I still like.

I like the word flagon, as well as pint.

I like Westies. They're cute. They have little ears and stuff.
