I've done a quick overlook of the forums and haven't really seen this suggestion around, or perhaps I'm just too tired and overlooked it. (Apologies if that's the case) I've been dealing with the "Manage tracked files" more since I've started modding and re-modding and every time I go to get a new batch of mods and are finished with the last batch, I like to clear out the history, so to speak, and as great as it is to be able to delete a single tracked mod with the click of that little red 'X' or check mark multiple and delete them, I feel like something was missed. (Or perhaps I'm just missing it) I think it would be beneficial to not only myself but others who enjoy a little tidiness, efficiency and ease of use (not saying this isn't easy to use, cause it is) but I would really love to see further improvements if at all possible. It would be great to see under the "Manage tracked files" to organize and sort by game so that if one ever needed to, could pick and choose mods from certain games or whole games to untrack as a whole batch instead of going page by page clicking several mods and then mass deleting the followed mods on that page and then rinse/repeat for 50-100 more pages. If the sorting/organizing by game is too much or not possible, I would really love to see one click delete for whole pages and/or all tracked mods. Even just being able to select a whole page would be a big help as you can imagine how time consuming it would be to have to sit there and click the same ten check boxes for 50-100 or however many mods you track. Thanks for your time and appreciate any replies. Keep up the great work and thanks for this amazing community! :geek:

That's not what I meant - the co-op system could have worked way better entirely. Sometimes it just doesn't work at all, there are no summon signs anywhere. Well maybe it's just dead at those moments then, you're not always going to find someone to help you out. After all it's all dependent on someone actually putting a sign down. So if you're looking for a random, how do you know someone just didn't put any sign down and there's no one there? If you're trying to play with a friend, it takes patience, replacing signs until the other can see it (takes anywhere from a few seconds to almost a minute depending on both connections). If you know there should be randoms around, it doesn't hurt just to reload your game.

This issue has nothing to do with DRM ^^ It's an always-online game, so it's understandable how they would want to add some kind of anti-cheat; and for this they chose one of the best systems on the market, so no angry comments there. They should however in my opinion, have added the ability to mod the game in a sort of single-player only offline mode. It's possible, but not everyone knows how. I get that they wan't anti-cheat for those that play on their servers, but I paid good money for this game. If I get banned from the servers I get that, but this is my game so I deserve an offline and LAN modes to play the game the way I want. I wholly agree sir. It would have been nice to have those options. I agree completely with you, there should have been an easy to access offline mode. You can still run the game offline by denying it access to the internet though, that way you are completely safe from a VAC ban. Nonetheless I think the co-op is generally a bit wonky, it should have been easier to play with your friends. IMO, it is easier to connect with friends, at least, easier than it was before. Granted you still get random summons and sometimes they keep summoning you even though you used your damn Black Crysal to go back Home (Apparently they have it in their thick skulls, "Oh! He must of accidentally used his Crystal, I'll just summon him again, and again and again and again!"). Though, at least this time around you have the option to buy that Name Plate ring from the cat in Majula to help filter random summons which is something, better than nothing.

It is definitely something lacking in the character creation which is one of my gripes.

You justify your cheating in whatever way makes you feel at ease. I can't speak for everyone else but sometimes I just get that urge to say f*** the game, I just wanna f*** around all OP and s*** and enjoy the story along the way.

Time will tell. Plenty of people use SweetFX in games that are VAC protected with no bans, but who knows. It very well could get you banned in Dark Souls 2. I'm going to continue using GeDoSaTo. If they ban for that/SweetFX/ENB, I think there will be enough of a public outcry that they will reverse the decision. Similar situations have happened in the past. Agreed. Fingers crossed that we're free to mod visually only to enhance our own environments and gameplay and not to cheat. (even though we all know modders are still going to be there to try and troll others)

This video has nothing to do with mods. It is regarding the fact that people who have been VAC-banned in other games cannot log into Dark Souls 2's server. It's unintentional and Bamco is working on it. So far, noone has been banned for using SweetFX/ENB/GeDoSaTo/etc in Dark Souls 2. We won't know if using these mods is bannable for another week or two since VAC bans are often delayed ~2 weeks. Thanks for your response. IMO, it does pertain to Dark Souls 2 mods as SweetFX does use hooked .dll files in which case DS2 could and probably will lead to VAC bans seeing how it has happened before (in other games). I really hope they don't start handing out VAC bans for people wanting to visually mod DS2 as that SweetFX does look really nice! So for now, I'll play it safe and stay away from mods until it's confirmed I won't get my ass banned.

See, that I can see a ban being handed out for but, there should be some middle ground for people who just want to visually enhance their experience or add some lolz with silly textures or meshes. After all, this is PC where the modding community lives.

So my girlfriend ran into this video and various chats in some streams that supposedly some people are getting banned for modding their DS2 (PC)? Even if they're just simple graphic mods. Not too sure how true it is but I do notice that the Steam Store page DOES in fact say that it's a VAC Enabled game now. :pinch:  I understand the need for it to help try and prevent cheaters but, really? I was really looking forward to modding DS2 with some fun stuff and eye candy! (see video below)

I love people like you. I never got why people ridicule others for those wanting to mod. That's their business if they want to mod. But, I'm also not neglecting the fact this is an integrated game with the online community so I know it has repercussions with griefers and modded stats which make PvP even more rage worthy than it already is (I know DS1 was nasty for modders in PvP  ) but, let's face it, there'll always be modders in online gaming. But for those who only need it for their sole solo or coop adventures or for whatever little things they need from the editor, I condone those actions.

I agree. I wasn't too happy with the crappy hair options either. Looking forward to some hopeful mods to fix that!

Ascetic is nice and all but you're also failing to mention the effects of such an item. It also permanently raises that area to a NG+1 and only resets the counter meaning after you farm those monsters you're still stuck. Not to mention when you go to start your actual NG+1 that said area will be NG+2 and so forth. I think a better resolution would be to find a way to just reset the limited respawn encounter especially since I'm sure some areas you wouldn't want at permanent higher difficulty. But that's just my opinion.
