  1. Is there any way to go into a file somewhere and change the damage (ballistic, energy, radiation, etc.) resistance of outfits?
  2. In case anybody is following: I ran a batchbuild of all my modded outfits (to convert them back to vanilla/janebod) and started a new game. I then started modding a few outfits - one here, one there - (not nearly as many total) and I'm up to level 39 now without a single CTD. So I guess running the batchbuild "cleared" a corrupted file or something . . . Anyway, that seemed to fix the problem.
  3. I did a batch build for most all outfits and converted them back to vanilla (vanilla/janebod, that is). I started a new game with only a few outfits modded via Outfit Studio and that seems to have made the game more stable. I'm at level 28 now without a single CTD thus far. Normally, by level 28, the game is unplayable with CTD's as I approach settlements (Tenpines, Greentop, and most frustratingly, Red Rocket tended to be the worst; also lots of CTD's while in Goodneighbor). But now, the problem seems to have gone away.
  4. Yes, all of fortaleza can be active. They're just different armor designs. Suitdreams is the armor mod that was meant to have only one active. But either way, I get CTD's with all mods off, so . . .
  5. Here's my load order: I D/L and ran LOOT and Wrye Bash and both showed all green in the load order.
  6. Thanks for the reply sopmac45. I get CTD's with ALL my plugins disabled. So I'm thinking my plugins' load order is not much of an issue. I'd show you my load order, but I don't know how to copy it. If I try to highlight the load order, it thinks I'm trying to drag a mod to a new load location. So I'm lost on how to copy/paste a load order. It had been a while since I tried disabling all plugins, so this morning I tried it again and gave it a try - and I still get CTD's. I was in Hangman's Alley clearing out some raiders and it crashed 4 times. I did manage to get through it and get out of H.A. and it hasn't crashed since. It tends to crash mostly at settlements. While playing this morning with no plugins active, I also noticed a couple oddities: First, it wouldn't let me loot the leather armor off one of the dead raiders at H.A. It would make the muffled sound effect, like I was looting, but didn't actually take the item. I also notice that my player was wearing a leather chest piece, when it's not showing one available in the pipboy. I was wearing a chest piece when I turned off all the plugins. So I'm thinking it's just not showing up in the pipboy. I don't know if any of that's any help. I do have a lot of outfits I converted via Outfit Studio - that's the only thing not vanilla about the game right now. For instance, the Explorer Outfit is now a combination of zzjay's Slayer Outfit and DX's Commonwealth Shorts' collection. The Raider Armor has been converted to a DA's Swimsuit outfit - so it bears no resemblance to the vanilla Raider Armor whatsoever - that sort of thing. I have most outfits converted this way. Currently, this is the only thing not vanilla in the game, and I'm still getting CTD's. That's why in my original post I was just kind of asking a generic question: If some sort of crash report exists that can be deciphered. You asked: "Did you clean the fallout 4 DLC's via FO4edit ?" I dont' know what that means, so I guess not. I'm not running any DLC's like Nukaworld or the like - if that's any help. And I have no idea what FO4edit is. I have never heard of LOOT to sort a load order either. I don't know what LOOT is. Thanks for replying. I do appreciate it. I know it's a long shot, but any insight would be helpful. Thanks again, Nick.
  7. Hi, I'm hoping to get some ideas without getting do deep in the technical stuff. Basically, I'm experiencing random CTD's. Early in the game, it's not an issue at all. But as I move up in levels, it becomes more and more frequent - seems cumulative in nature. Usually, I'll get my first CTD around level 12-ish. By level 20-ish, the CTD's are frequent enough to make the game unplayable. Yes, I've dumped all my saves. No change. I've disabled a bunch of mods. No change. About the only rhyme or reason I can see is it tends to happen as I approach settlements. But not always. It can also happen as I enter buildings, etc. Last game, it wouldn't allow me to enter the furnace room to complete the quest "Out of the fire" - would crash every time I tried to enter. It also seems worse if I have a companion with me - especially Preston. SEEMS, at least. I've been running Jane Bod for a long time without problems. But I also run a lot of CBBE outfits that I've converted to JB. But I've turned all that stuff off and still get CTD's. What I'm looking for here, is just some direction. Hoping somebody has some other ideas besides playing musical mods to find the "culprit" (been there; done that). I was also hoping if there was some sort of "crash report" file I can open and read - or have somebody else decipher for me. Thanks in advance, Nick.
  8. At the moment, I've dismissed Piper (affinity is maxed though) and am traveling with Dogmeat. When I pick her back up again, I'll give the setownership thing a try. Although, I suppose I could try it without her being my companion (??). The only reason why I even added the mod is that it just made sense to me. From my first play-through last November, I thought it odd that you can't sleep in Piper's bed.
  9. I had the mod active prior to ever meeting Piper. So shouldn't that work? I had the mod active prior to starting the current game, actually.
  10. I appreciate the help. And the patience. And I learned a little bit too. Thanks.

  12. It shows up with orange/red text saying it's an owned bed - thus, I can't sleep in it. As opposed to the text showing as green and allowing to sleep in it. Still working on the plugins.txt file. The instructions you gave are above my computer skill level - sorry.
  13. Here's the link: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17253/? Looks like that d/l ID I posted was useless - sorry. I don't know of any quick n easy way to post my mod list. It doesn't look like it'll copy/paste (I'm in NMM). Short of just manually keying all of the mods in a post - which would take forever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  14. The only thing I have that changes Piper or her residence is the "True Reporter" clothing mod. It just gives her a different (not a replacer) outfit to wear - I wouldn't think a clothing mod is something that is a change to Piper. It's only active and in her inventory - she's not wearing it. The sleep mod is well after the clothing mod in load order.
  15. I downloaded mod #76252; where you can sleep in Piper's bed, but it doesn't work. At all levels of affinity; with or without Piper as a companion - same result - doesn't work. Doesn't matter. It just doesn't seem to work. I deleted it (using NMM) and re-installed it - same result. And help would be appreciated, thanks.
  16. Heh. That simple. The shortest thread ever - Thanks !
  17. Simple question: Is there a way to save a character face for future games? I looked through the files and don't see any kind of a configuration file for the face settings. Thanks. Nick.
  18. If this is any help, my PC doesn't seem to loose her HmmWTW clothes when in GOD mode. It would seem taking damage is the reason for the clothing loss. I'm starting to wonder if it's designed that way, rather than a glitch. But I figured somebody would have chimed in by now, if that was the case.
  19. Did more testing. It seems I needed to create a default JaneBod, and put it in the PCA folder. Went in the game, and my PC has a correct naked body default body - for the first time ever with UniPlayer active. Then I built my PC's preset body and put it in the PCA folder - expecting it to smear - like it's done 100x's before. But no - it is correct and my PC's body. And Cait's body is correct (she has her own preset clothing). And I just happened to have a naked dead female raider nearby; and she has the proper body (I created a custom "NPC" preset several days ago). So everything is working. It wasn't intuitive to me at all; but I guess building a default JaneBod and putting it in the PCA folder fixed everything. I still don't know how this worked out; but it did. I don't know how moving a default JB in the PCA folder fixed everything - even though that file is no longer there (I have since replaced it with my PC preset). (??) Thank you for your help. I couldn't have done it without you.
  20. I just found out it DOES work with the default JaneBod - textures look fine for the PC when she is naked and UniquePlayer is active.
  21. I followed your instructions as best as I understand. I've got it really close. In BodySlide I can create a body, copy the .nif mesh from "characterassets" to "PlayerCharacterAssets" and in the game, my PC has the unique body made from BodySlide; and everybody has the default body. I've repeated this with other BS presets, and my PC consistently gets that body - and no other character does. So the UniquePlayer mesh works. But . . . my PC's textures are all smeared with the vanilla underwear, etc. When I activate the JBVaultLovely mod, my PC's vault suit looks perfect - but any visible skin is still all smeary under the vault suit. So it seems to me, it's a .dds texture file issue.
  22. I now have a properly working vanilla game. I searched in . . . meshes ... armor, and found the 2pac4eva7 folder. I made another desktop folder (with a different name) and put a copy of it in the folder for safe keeping - then deleted the file. Opened the game - no help. So then, I copied and then deleted the entire contents of the meshes/armor folder and that worked. It appeared to all be a bunch of CBBE stuff to me. So I figured it had to go. I have a working vanilla game now.
  23. Okay, I turned everything off - all the Jane Bod stuff. The Unique Player was already off. Now my PC has a vanilla body with the ugly white underwear. So does Cait. But all the female NPC's have smeary skin with bright glowing fluroescent purple outfits that I can tell are from the "2pac4eva7's CBBE skimpy armor and clothing" mod - which was deactivated days long ago - before I converted to Jane Bod. So that's really odd. BTW, when I made the conversion to Jane Bod, I first turned off all the CBBE stuff and I had a properly working vanilla game before I activated Jane Bod. So I find what's happening now really weird - because that stuff was already off. With that, I started your process. I have a "Workspace" folder with the folders/files just like you described. meshes, textures, Tools, Jane Bod Rev (zipped), JaneBod.esp, UniquePlayer (zipped), UniquePlayer.esp I'm a little confused on step 10. By using the Ctrl key, I selected all the folders (except the original two archives) and did a right-mouse, then "7-Zip," then "add to archive . . ." It created a zipped folder named "CustomUniquePlayer." Is that what you wanted me to do? I realize we first need a working vanilla game before we go much farther. But that's where I am.
  24. Nope. Never even saw that d/l - until now. Not sure if it's new or not. But this is the first I've known of it. Also, by the description (which is horribly vague) is seems to apply to NPC's. My NPC's are fine. It's my PC that is loosing her clothes.
