  1. And I know THIS is old now, but thanks!! I was wrinkling my brow at this for a while, but your post helped work everything out in a straightforward manner. Here's to the beauty of old internet posts. *lifts mug*
  2. [EDIT: Title meant to read 'sheathing', as opposed to 'unsheathing'. Sorreh. Kinda the same thing anyway.] So I messed around with some animation mods, including handpicking them and manually dropping them into the male and female folders in order to get it just right. Unfortunately, after jumping into the game, while the animations seemed to work as intended, now Lucien and Rigmor can't seem to wait to impale themselves with their blades. (Meaning, their weapons remain glued to their hands when idling, when their weapons are supposed to be sheathed.) Plus, some of them don't seem to be drawing their weapons in sync with me. If anyone is aware of a common cause for this, I'd appreciate the info. I'mma try uninstalling/reinstalling my animations wholesale and re-checking my load order while I pull out my hair, pro'lly, and report back. 3. HEY there people..!! Don't know if this has been addressed before, but starting a few days ago, an issue arose where vendors would suddenly be too damn lazy to work. I don't quite remember the precise point this began or how it works exactly, but sometimes I'll see them wandering around town. I could approach them and talk to them and make a purchase/sale like normal, (or when it's after hours, get a typical rejection), but for some reason they don't seem to remember the way to San Jose. This seems to have been affecting the world wholesale, rather than in a single area, as I've also witnessed this in Fourville, which is a custom cell from Seddo's excellent Fourville quest mod, and possibly even a little bit of it in MunkySpunk's [just-as-awesome] Bleachers expansion in Diamond City. NPCs would be out and about during times they should be stationed at their stores; another trend I've seen is for, when I engage in dialogue with them, some of them to constantly turn away from me then back then away again and proceed to do this for the duration of the dialogue process like a swivel door. I will try to conduct some selective mod uninstallations and see what's up, etc. But I was just curious if anyone mighta come across something like this before, and whether it's commonplace or not or has an established cause. Either way, while I try to get to the root of this (or just become distracted and give up midway), I do have a copy of my current active mod/load order at hand, luckily... Again this only really began a few days ago, the course of which included me newly downloading some big mods, including the aforementioned Bleachers, Crime and Punishment, and Depravity. Then again, maybe I only started noticing it recently and these shopkeepers have actually been neglecting their 9-to-5 for months. *shrug* Ever still. I'm no expert on this stuff yet, but I'll see to switching some things around, on and off, et al, try to figure what works and what doesn't. A navmesh problem, a wider scripting problem, whatever it is, if anyone knows what might be the catalyst to all-a this, I would be quite grateful. Thx for yo' time..!!
  4. I have run 'em through LOOT but haven't used TESVEdit yet; once I get the time tomorrow I'll try it and let you know how it goes!
  5. Sorry for the (super) late reply, I was gonna post this up earlier but got stalled then ended up uninstalling Skyrim from my computer. But it's back now. The thing is, I think the problem (if it does have to do with conflicting mods) might be coming from a manual install (either that or some sneaky files not being picked up by NMM during uninstallation); I just don't remember which exactly...I know I did a complete uninstallation of the game at least twice already. 6. So ever since I started messing with Racemenu I had deformation problems, where the faces/presets would not come out as I idealized or saw in the mod pages, but considering how many mods I tended to have I chalked it up to some incompatibility issue that would take a lotta time to solve so I decided to hold off on a hard answer and just smoothed up any rough stuff through the Vertex Edit/sculpt and a couple slider tweaks. That said, now after a lot of reinstallations, uninstallations, returns to the game, and rearrangements, I still seem to be getting these deformations and I'm not sure why. I would also get weird glitches with the eyes and lips, sometimes, and etcetera. I just don't know if to what extent this is normal or if I completely mucked up a basic rule somewhere. Any help as to what I'm/mod combo is screwing up? I'mma try to re-do everything from scratch and but thanks to my schedule it might take a while.
  7. So as another newb barely dipping into water here, I was attempting to figure out the locations of the DD female soldiers' models so I could swap them with Quiet when I came across this thread and that (thus far) very clearly laid out video above going over the basics. When I got to my "parts" subfolder under the chunk0 folder to locate the files, however, I saw no sign of them except for the ddf_venom part and only a few uniforms as opposed to the whole aggregate depicted in the tutorial. Did they get moved or have I skipped a fundamental step somewhere? (Here's a screen. Thanks for takin' the time, anything's appreciated..!! ;P >_<) EDIT: Oh got it, has to do with the dictionary doesn't it? Will try updating it then come back with the results. EDIT #2: 'K, looks like it's all there. Talk about a simple oversight on my part., heh...heh.
