  1. I've been using Vortex for BG3 for well over a month now, with a fairly long order. I have frequently encountered a bug where my load order would be mysteriously reorganized, with some mods selected completely at random as locked to the top. When I attempt to boot up the game in this state, loading a save gives me an alert that some mods (sometimes all?) have been disabled. Typically, this error is resolved by closing Vortex and relaunching it, usually several times, until it remembers the right load order. Switching between profiles also helps, as their load order is unaffected. This time, after encountering that bug, nothing seems to be working. Any profile I load up also has the same error with randomly locked mods in the load order too. When I try to load a save, it tells me every single mod in my load order is now disabled. This error persists even after doing the trusted strategy of launching and relaunching Vortex (and even when this appears to have worked, as the load order is no longer mysteriously locking mods.) There are no errors in Vortex. Everything is fully up to date. The especially strange thing is that at least some mods most definitely are enabled and working properly in-game; for example, the mods that skips the Larian logo and Press Any Button on startup. The symlinks are there in the Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods folder. Any help would be much appreciated. Edit: Also just noticed it's no longer asking me to elevate upon deployment.
  2. I think you guys might find "Malkoran's Shade" very useful. He is, in essence, a lich after all.
  3. Oh my... this is fantastic! Beautiful work! Thank you!
  4. I hope someone capable does make it compatible - I'm almost sure it won't be unless someone actually makes it so.
  5. Wait, so, will you still use Alex's characters, meshes etc. ? As in, his ideas for the characters...or make your own?
  6. Fantastic! I can't wait! It's a shame I can't help, I haven't the slightest idea how to mod.
  7. The model that is posted in one of the screenshots is actually a temp model. It will still be a skeletal model of some kind, but the model scene in the screenshot is not the actual model that will be used. While I do see your point regarding their appearance, it was decided to keep it purely skeletal. I understand that that may disappoint some people, but that was the decision that was made. However, we'll be doing our best to make sure the model looks as good as it possibly can. Oh alright. I wasn't complaining or anything, simply pointing out. It looks great as is.
  8. I hadn't noticed the already posted model. I just assumed it would have skin similar to how the lich were in previous elder scrolls games. Kind of a saggy skin look, as if it were only skin on bones, nothing else - it's a lot like the draugr in Skyrim. It would have been more lore-friendly that way, but it looks fantastic as a skeleton anyway. Great job.
  9. Well, I meant as random encounters. If you say there's a compelling reason they shouldn't be there then so be it, haha.
  10. Yes, it is planned to have the Lich's appearance differ for each type. The Traditional Lich will have a standard Skeletal Lich model, and the Vampiric Lich will use the same general model, but with a slightly different appearance. The Vampiric Lich is actually undergoing some pretty big changes that I haven't discussed here yet. Once I get everything laid out, I plan to update the main post with the changes, and I will reveal the model description then. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/648920-wip-true-lichdom-nexus-thread-1/page__view__old As far as The Phylactery Bound Lich is concerned, to be honest, the situation is a little unclear. I'd prefer for him to have an appearance similar to the last host he possessed, but perhaps having him look a little pale or decayed. However, accomplishing this would be somewhat difficult. I haven't fully discussed it with the modeler yet, so I'm not too sure what the final product will be. I'm also relying on SKSE to release in order for me to perfect the host swapping process, so I really don't know how things will work out for him yet. That sounds fantastic. One further question, though. What does the standard model look like (for the traditional and vampiric lich)? Is it like a draugr? Will it compensate for the fact that the player may be an elf or beast? Edit: Also, will you consider adding liches as NPCs? It would be a bit odd if there was only one Lich, the dragon born. Maybe as creatures that are hostile to the dragonborn unless he is a lich himself.
  11. OH! I can't wait! This mod sounds beautiful! Will there be any visible differences in the different liches?
  12. Well, that's the thing. I hardly have ideas; I'm not very creative. I could help fleshing the already made ideas out, if you could use that. But I doubt you would need it.
  13. Well, Crimson Tide gives the player a bloody appearance after combat. Technically it isn't other NPCs blood, it's the players, but it gives the effect regardless. I suppose it's the best we have, for the time being.
  14. This sounds very fun! I can't wait! One thing though. I think being a Jarl is a rather large achievement, perhaps you should make a level restriction for finding the captain? Something like the player must be level 30-50 to first encounter him? I just think it may be a bit....odd? To have the player become Jarl of somewhere when he may just be, say, level 5.
  15. This sounds absolutely brilliant. I love having depth to characters in my game. I'm afraid there isn't very much I can do save for cheer you on. I suppose I could help with writing story, but where would I begin? A question, though. Will this work on adding new NPCs or replacing old ones? If your adding new ones: I think it's best to replace old one's as well. Just that it would be a bit strange having certain NPCs so deep and complex, whereas other's are so......Two dimensional? If you are also replacing old ones, keep up the good work! :)
  16. Sounds very sound and exciting so far. I hope to see more soon!
  17. But...these aren't underrated or under the hood...at all. At least, I didn't think they were. I knew them.. Thanks for the effort, anyway. :)
  18. Is this compatible with http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8333 ?
  19. Maybe you should try to associate this with Vaermina somehow.
  20. The boar is fantastic, I'm sure it would be appreciated.
  21. I agree that it's becoming a bit too much. I mean, I haven't exactly been on the nexus very long but it's a bit frustrating. Maybe if the users could just add a different language version in the optional files of the original mod, that way there isn't a need for a new mod every time.
