  1. I can't look at the script right now as I dont have max installed on this machine. I'm pretty certain it is working correctly--you have to understand that the male/female conversion is a bit sad looking since the breasts generally should require a little more attention. Did I just type that? Jesus. Long week.
  2. So here's another walkthrough to further the process of getting custom armor into the game. Once you've got your custom nif from my last videos you should be ready to hook them up properly as new items just here! Come at me, BRO! :O
  3. Hey yeah, sorry. It was hard to figure out based on the info you had given. =) Glad its working and the tool was helpful!
  4. Shadow: That's not giving me a lot of information! What is happening? Or not happening?
  5. I made a video walkthrough of the process of getting a custom model to show up in game without replacing it. Custom item ids, recipes and tempering recipes. Could split it up into a few chunks but this covers it all!
  6. Another video tutorial, this time a simple one. Just getting custom textures in. figured it was worth being a one stop video shop at some point.
  7. That looks like it may be skin related. Also: did you make sure to NOT edit the geometry after morphing? Apart from moving or scaling?
  8. Like ghogiel said, Pizza monster! Other thread. so much morpher. It should get you most of the way. You may want to do some editing beyond what the script morphs for you, but theres an edit poly assigned already so do what you will. Also: when editing the mesh beyond the morph state, dont collapse the stack or do anything that would modify the number of verts. I.E. do not cut, split, merge, weld chamfer or anything of the sort. That will break the morph. Only use transform tools or modifiers that only transform verts. i.e. push is acceptable, turbosmooth is not.
  9. Way to sort your ish out, Martian! High five. Glad you find the tool useful.
  10. Def looks like normal problems there. Can you post an image of the same model in 3dsmax? from that angle? I suspect it will look bruised there too.
  11. Carrol: I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that error. Sounds like some parenting issues. Alright. The files are now compatible with 2010-2012. Max 9 was obstinate and I realized the exporter doesnt even work with max 9 in the first place. =) www.joepikop.com/somuchmorpher.zip is updated!
  12. Alright. The files are now compatible with 2010-2012. Max 9 was obstinate and I realized the exporter doesnt even work with max 9 in the first place. =) www.joepikop.com/somuchmorpher.zip is updated!
  13. There is the original video that's slightly simpler and explains the process that the script is doing (minus the morphing). It's good to know how to do things manually when s*** goes pear-shaped, you know?
  14. You need to export each model, but yes. that's what it does. It can also change your model from male to female. Obviously you will want to edit a little, but it gets the lions share of the work down for you
  15. Madcat: You need to be using max 2012 currently. I am working on the max 9+ max file but ran into a few blocking issues in setup. I'll post here when it's compatible with other versions. Davis: if you are using max 2012 then there shouldnt be any problems. I'll investigate further after work.
  16. The max 9 file is a little more of an undertaking than I thought. Can't seem to get any file format to not destroy the bone names. Will be a bit of a wait for that, i think. I'm too lazy to manually rename and test everything.
  17. I made a tool to help you do it. Also that link is to the tutorial i made for just such a question.
  18. The max file issue I will correct when I get to work some time tomorrow so version shouldnt matter. THe script itself will work on any max version since 5 or so. The max file was just created in 2012. I'll make it max9 compatible. The envelopes are not used because of the way skin wrap works. It's copying weight data vert by vert. I am not sure I have ever encounter a soul in games who used envelopes to skin a character. It always gets done on a more granular and controlled level.
  19. So hey! I realized that my original thread is inappropriate for the last couple of videos as they are not about weapons and armors are more complex. There will be a few more videos that are specific to armor and creature exporting so i felt it merits a new thread for searchability. Weapon stuff will remain in my weapon thread! So here: the last video I made that shows you how to utilize my tool, So Much Morpher. This tool will assist you in keeping parity between your skinny and fat weight slider as well as automatically skin your model. Here's the video: The tool is linked in the description, but here's a link: www.joepikop.com/SoMuchMorpher.zip
  20. Your awesome!! Thanks loads for all this! The dismemberment nodes determine which body parts are shown/hidden when an armor is equipped right? Exactly, Hoodz. It hides parts. Either for armor or for actually dismembering the model!
