Can I pan the camera around my character while moving?
Dranorak replied to dhaedra's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Okay, I've decided to make a guide on a combination of console commands that enable you to play around with your camera and controls binding. This allows you to separate your camera perspective from your controls over two characters which enables you to film from any perspective whilst moving your character around (in front of the camera). There's both a comprehensive and a brief guide that'll show you how to do what's shown in the video I posted in this topic earlier. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jA-EEjQCT8w&hd=1 I hope you'll find it useful. If so please leave me a comment/like and favorite and subscribe. It helps me :) Questions/requests can be posted in the comments of the comprehensive guide. I'll be around to answer them. The brief guide can be found here: Also check out this topic: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/530917-holding-f-camera-rotation/ -
Not exactly a camera mod, but more of a cheat/hack that allows you to separate your camera perspective from your controls over two characters. They are available :) However, assuming you have a spare USB device to cut the cable from and stated that tools can be reused, so their cost shouldn't be counted entirely, you are cheaper off doing this yourself (not counting the man hours, those I've tried to bring down with the tutorial anyway ^^). Easier, true  but half the fun of DIY.

Faster way to see Blackreach (giant blue mushroom fantasy realm)
Dranorak replied to Elkatar's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Thanks! Saved me some trouble while recording this fantasy scenery for my Skyrim Serenity series  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uveI0tmllIg&hd=1 -
The latest video in this series is "Dance of the Suger Plum Fairies" from The Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Footage is shot in Blackreach. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uveI0tmllIg&hd=1 If you like it, subscribe on YouTube :)

Okay, thanks for your reply :) Can't wait for mods like that!

The link you posted is not working. I can't find a mod like that. It sounds great! Do you still have this mod? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Exactly  Of course you could go out and buy a Xbox 360 controller, but that'd be a waste of that old controller laying around, wouldn't it :turned:

Just wanted to share my success in modifying my old Xbox controller to make it compatible with Skyrim on PC. Using a Xbox controller provides advantages because it provides for smoother (thumb-stick-controlled) movement (mainly helpful while filming) Mod your controller to USB First step is to mod the controller to USB (7-step guide video below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5Z62fsPonU&hd=1 Drivers Next you've got to get the right drivers and plug the controller in your PC. I used Super Joy Box 9, 10, 11 for TigerGame Xbox controller from: Mayflash.com XBCD should be an alternative for these drivers, but I couldn't get them to work on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (they did work on Windows 7 Professional x86 on my laptop). This driver can be downloaded from: redcl0ud.com Emulate as 360 controller Finally you've got to emulate your regular Xbox controller as a 360 controller in able to let Skyrim recognize it as a compatible device. I succesfully emulated the USB Xbox controller as a 360 Xbox controller to work with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim using XBOX 360 Controller Emulator 2.0.2.158 from: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads

Thanks! Let me know if you have a request for next week, still gotta come up with the next musical piece/scenery.

Thanks Kentoss! Marvelous guide. I'm thinking that using Sphinx somehow to transcribe (if even rougly) the wavs would be epic. Update: Used your guide to edit together a short clip that shows the virtually endless possibilities these voice acting files offer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3vd4Lk_-GQ&hd=1

I think a major problem with recording in Skyrim is the lack of control over the characters in any video you make. I like how you took the tools at hand (free fly cam) and used your creativity to create and film a storyline! I think Skyrim video makers in general would benefit from more advanced character control, and I think I'm on the brink of finding out a way to do that. Check out this proof of concept that shows that it's possible (with limitations, as for now) to film and control your character without being either in 1st or 3rd person. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAocTmnfmkk&hd=1 It could create great possibilities for future video's like yours. Cheers

I wish there were better camera/character controls for cinematic recording/filmmaking. For now we're forced into either 1st person, 3rd person or free fly cam perspective. This might be slightly off topic, in that it isn't a 'fix' aimed at fixing the camera controls while playing, but the possibilities shown in the following video show that there are ways to evade the forced camera perspective in Skyrim (either 1st person, 3rd person or free fly cam perspective). I think Skyrim video makers in general could benefit from this more advanced character control, and I think I'm on the brink of finding out a way to do that. Check out this proof of concept that shows that it's possible (with limitations, as for now) to film and control your character without being either in 1st or 3rd person. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAocTmnfmkk&hd=1 It could create great possibilities for filming projects. Hope this interests you. -

Forgive me that this reply does not focus on auto-walking in particular. As for now we're forced into either 1st person, 3rd person or free fly cam perspective. I I think I'm on the brink of finding out a way to enable more advanced character control. Bump, anything I found on other places on the interwebz got me no further in discovering ways to control the movement of NPC's. However, some take to scripting, which is beyond my abilities. Might be worth checking that out though!

For some time I've been releasing Skyrim recordings combined with classical music. I think these two are a good match. The aim is to bring musical entertainment for your peace of mind, accompanied by the soothing ambiance from Skyrim. You can find the playlist here: http://tinyurl.com/ckwna43 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J157dl4MAxA&list=PLBFDF1190B253E92C&hd=1 Check out the 'playlist' button right here -------------------------------^ I'm doing a weekly release with the option of fullfilling requests. So let me know which classical piece you would like me to synthesize with Skyrim scenery (preferably in YouTube comments). My latest and most elaborate project was Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Or8pcx7gJmA&hd=1 Enjoy!
