  2. Necessary basic question here: Do you have over 140 plugins currently installed?
  3. Hey guys, quick question. I'm trying to keep close track on the amount of plugins I have hooked up to New Vegas, and am wondering which number I should be trusting. Wrye Flash supplies me in the bottom right hand corner with a number (135/155), which I'm assuming means (Activate .esp+.esm files/Total .esp+.esm files). BOSS gives me Recognised, Unrecognised, Inactive and All (124/49/34/173). All being the sum of Recognised and Unrecognised. So, should I be trusting Wrye Flash in it saying I have 135 plugins counting toward the mod limit, or do I actually have 155 plugins counting towards it? Or is BOSS actually in the right here?   5. Alright never mind, it seems to just freeze at startup at random now. I'll have a mod on, and it'll work, so I'll put on another, then it'll freeze, so I take the mod off, and it freezes anyway. UGH.
  6. Figured it out, some of the mods didn't download correctly and were corrupt, redownloading them seems to do the trick. (Y)
  7. So I've got my mods, run BOSS, built a bash patch in Wrye Flash, run BOSS again, and the game freezes on startup after a few seconds and sits there, not crashing or doing anything. I'm only sitting slightly above the mod limit of 140. Here's my load order! Tree thanks you in advance.
  8. +1, been wanting to do something like this for a loooooooong time. However, I would make it as inhospitable as possible and forget about bandits and the like. It should be completely unknown to outsiders except a select few that have discovered it and delved within to unlock its secrets and uncover its treasure. Something I wanted to do for the start was you literally falling for 30 seconds down a hole until you splash into a massive underground lake in the pitch black, making it impossible to get out until you make your way through. I'd make it as open-world as possible and only separate different caverns and such if 100% necessary. There would probably have to be some sort of alternative fast-travel system implemented (think the Forgotten Vale teleporters). tl;dr, go read the first three books in the Legend of Drizzt series by R.A. Salvatore. Set in the Underdark, perfect example of what the mod should go for.
  9. I for one always seem to find myself picking up an awesome weapon that beautifully synchronizes with my character aesthetically, my play-style and who I envision my character being. And then, I open up a chest or curb-stomp a bandit and there always seems to be a weapon of the next tier that trumps it, meaning that sticking with my current weapon would be putting me at a disadvantage. I'd love for someone to port over that particular New Vegas mod to Skyrim to allow us to be able to hang onto our favorite weapons, and keep them relevant as we continue our adventures by distributing a small amount of our experience into the weapon and making it more powerful through its continued use. Thanks in advance!

  11. That seems to have done it! My game is working very well now, at least underground, and my characters brief expeditions to the surface didn't result in the game shitting itself! Thank you very much for your help. :D
  12. - Boss is lying. I use Mod Organizer, and am using the lock feature. Or maybe Mod Organizer is lying? In any case: - I shall disable Moonpath. - I've never had an issue with Unlimited Bookshelves. - I've disabled a bunch of script-heavy mods such as Frostfall, Convenient Horses, Wet & Cold, Real Clouds, Supreme and Volumetric Fog, Interesting NPC's, etc etc. So basically trading a good game for a stable game. - I'm CTDing out in the wilds with no people around so it's not an issue of there being too many actors. EDIT FOR ADDITIONAL NOTES: I rerun BOSS, rebuild my Bashed Patch, run Dual Sheath REdux and now run FNIS every single time I activate or deactivate a new mod, and ALWAYS restart the game, every single time I activate or deactivate a new mod. There is clearly ONE STINKIN' MOD that is throwing a wrench into the whole mix. WHO ARE YOU YA BASTARD!!
  13. Ran FNIS and patched everything correctly. Still CTDing with no warning.

I did my research on SPIKE, and the latest version of Immersive Armors / Guard Dialogue Overhaul doesn't require it anymore, which is why downloading both of those files doesn't give you the SPIKE.esm file anymore. I imagine BOSS just hasn't updated their logs on it yet. If it WAS SPIKE, the game would CTD on startup as it would be missing a master file. I did patch Dual Sheath correctly but I didn't realize it required FNIS too. AOM is The Art of Magicka. EDIT: I checked the requirements of Dual Sheath Redux, and FNIS isn't in there. It's only a recommended mod for fixing animation issues, which I don't have.

  17. I don't know what it would take, but I'd love to see a mod that completely redefines Argonian faces to look more human. The best example I can think of would have to be the Drell from the Mass Effect franchise, though naturally trying to fit as seamlessly as possible with the vanilla body so it doesn't seem out of place.
  18. I can actually launch and play the game now, yay! And it all looks beautiful and I can play with flawless FPS as long as I drop down some draw distances. I have a new issue though, in that my game either freezes and sits there forever or just CTD's about 3 minutes into play. This is my new load order. Note I am running a fair amount of high texture mods, such as Skyrim HD, Hectrols Caves, Lush Trees and Grass etc and after some research it looks like those could be making the engine cry.   19. Yes, I started using MO on a completely clean install. All the DLC's are in the data directory. Yes, there are mesh and texture folders in the data directory. There were no in-place mods other than SKSE before I started using MO. Like I said I made sure it was completely fresh to try and avoid some of this nonsense. I can't even open the game outside of MO now either, immediately crashes, again even with no mods or DLC ticked at all, which says to me I have buggered something up outside of MO that needs fixing.
  20. It should also be mentioned that even running a clean profile with absolutely no mods OR official DLC is also producing this crash.
