  1. Just standing next to the Ebony warrior triggers a scripted event that causes you die automatically. He is actually very weak and underpowered compared to a true nord. I placed all my stats in Health for except 20 levels, that equals 61 levels of health. I also have smithing at 200 and armor at legendary with upgraded weapons.

When I first met him he is fighting a frost troll and doesn't attack but stands there. Turns out you have to be the aggressor and trigger a fight. Upon commencing the fight I collapsed and instantly died, he didn't even have to do a thing. I reloaded my save and the same thing happened again. This time i attacked him and backed up and noticed he wasn't doing much damage to my character to justify an instant death. I blew him off the mountain and fought him at the bottom where I instantly died again.

I reloaded and tried it again but hit him and backed up and hit him and backed up. I fought for about 5 minutes, his attacks are weak and his armor is vanilla compared to my superior gear. I have double enchantments for health and stamina in the +150 range for regen.

In conclusion the Ebony Warrior has a trigger (that goes off when fighting to close) that I'm guessing is similar to Ebony Mail armor, but instead of causing poison over time you simply collapse and die. I'm sure someone in a fight could easily misinterpret the event as a powerful hit or spell and fail to realize the game is triggering an instant kill victory for the Ebony Warrior.

Sounds more like your triggering his Reflect Blows perk. That hasthe ability to 1 hit lot of melee players.

  2. You can forget about the Thalmor. They are to big of a plot to be resolved in a DLC. They will be the focus of the next game.

As for the High King I doubt it would be a DLC as it forces people to do the Civil War questline to get there money's worth. And it makes it even harder for Bethesda to in later games set up the lore that follows everything any player character in the past games can do that is not the main questline.

Even if there are more DLC these were never on the table and never were gonna be. You have only yourself to blame for unreal expectations.

  3. The only one I'd like to see be used in a future Elder Scrolls game especially as a playble race are the Maomer. Make it so sometime in the 5th era the Maomer re-enter the world scene and start trading with the other races and some have started living on Tamriel.

As for Skyrim DLC and only in a Skyrim DLC make it so the Tiger folk of Ka'Po'Tun from Akivir invade and we the Dragonborn have to defeat there leader the Tiger Dragon. However make them come to us do not make us ever go to Akavir. Leave that continent mysterious.

  4.

So if you make your skills legendary does that reset all your perks or just the level skill

"Legendary Skills – Skills of 100 can be made Legendary. This will reset the skill to 15, return its Perks and allow the skill to affect leveling again. This effectively removes the overall level cap."

It resets them to 15 and probably gives you the perk points back.

Well damn that seems terrible. Hopefully your able to immedietly respend the perks for that tree. Otherwise I'll not download that patch until a mod comes out disabling the new leveling system and reverts it to how it was since release.

  5. After playing Dragonborn I like to think either it was the Ebony Warrior sending those letters trying to get the Dragonborn strong enough so he can have a good fight and death or that Mora used one of his followers or even took on a physical form ala Sanguine for his quest in order to strengthen the Dragonborn in order to use later for his own purposes.
  6. As it says in the title can anyone tell me why this great mod is no longer on the Nexus?

I'm mainly wondering if it was because there something wrong with it. I can't be to careful with my saves.

And did the Realistic lighting team make a new mod to succeed it?

It just seems odd that this mod has just vanished. Thanks to anyone who can lend some light on this situation. And sorry if it has been asked before I did not see any threads on this and just noticed today that the mod is gone.

  7. Reload a save from just before you get to them, fast travel to a completely different hold, and wait\sleep for 31 days to see if it fixes there AI. A lot of the weird AI glitches in Skyrim can be fixed by just going to the opposite end of the map and waiting a month.
  8. It's not that I like the Thalmor very much actually quite the opposite. However if you really want to play for the Thalmor I have an idea.

Take an altmer or a bosmer (or a khajit or any other character.) He/she will be an agent of the Thalmor. His task is to:

    1. Make as much chaos in Skyrim as possible - help crime like thieves guild, DB

    2. Help Stormcloaks win -> The Empire will dissolve

    3. Observe and report. Write reports about Jarls, their views, report about cities and defenses, the mood in Skyrim.

If you blog it make the posts like Reports to Elenwen the only person in Skyrim who knows who you really are.

The Thalmor do not want either side to win the war. They want it to drag on so as to weaken both sides and make Skyrim very easy to conquer.

  9. Well I think Whiterun may have sewers and we just can't access them. As you walk into the gate in Whiterun there is the foot bridge that takes you to Adrianne's forge. To both the left and right from it are 2 large gates with water flowing out. The gates are large enough you could walk through but in the game you can not. Also outside of Whiterun on its walls is a couple more gates with water flowing out like this. This IMO is a sign Whiterun has sewers that we just do not have access to for whatever reason.
  10. For some reason I can't seem to get aggro on monsters in game, regardless of type. I can walk right up to a spider or a skelly or a bandit and they just look at me. If I talk to it or swing at it the aggro AI finally kicks in, but not otherwise.

Anyone know what could cause this?

Only time I've seen this was when I was running ASIS on the highest spawn amounts possible. After I reverted things to a little more than the default setting on it everything cleared up. So if you run that mod it may be something to look into

If your not using that mod I've no clue. Good luck fixing it.

  11. Could someone list why any particular race would make the following faction choices and why?

    Legion or Stormcloaks

    Forsworn or Silver-bloods

    Rieklings or Thirsk Nords

For example, would a Khajiit choose between the Legion or Stormcloaks, the Forsworn or the Silver-bloods, the Rieklings or the Thirsk Nords and why?

    1. Honestly I see a Khajit siding with neither side. There is simply no profit in helping either side win a war that has no bearing on the Khajit. He'd instead try to sell things to both sides in the war to make a profit or ignore them and do something else.

    2. The Silver Bloods. They do not attack him constantly while wandering through the Reach and being in good with those in charge of the treasury of a major city could be profitable.

    3. Haven't played Dragonborn so couldn't say yet.

  12. I think if you kill enough of one side or the other the camps will go hostile. I have not joined the Stormcloaks yet but have killed every Legion members I've seen. I used to be able to go into the Legion camps and they'd be friendly until I attacked. After wiping out the Rift and Winterhold camps I found the Legions in the Pale camp hostile on site and so is every Legion member I've seen sense in the world even with no bounty in any holds and having not joined the Stormcloaks nor having progressed far enough into the main quest to get the peace summit.
  13. Most recent was when she was murdered by Balgruuf when I was taking Whiterun for the Stromcloaks.

Funny thing is she was not my follower and I'd never used her leaving her in Dragonsreach as I never owned Breezehome. When me, Onmund, and the Stormcloaks got inside Dragonsreach she came running out from wherever and attacked Balgruuf. He killed her in 3 hits lol.

  14. Sadly the best one I've found has been on the Steam Workshop. Its called Scaling Destruction by a user named inok. I've looked and as far as I know he does not have it on the Nexus and there is none exactly like it here.

If your not against using Steam workshop for minor mods give it a look.

  15. So, I've just retrieved the "Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" note for the umpteenth time, & I return to Riverwood as requested.

However, as soon as I enter Alvor & his wife lay into me, then the guards join in. If I fight my way as far as the inn, Delphine comes out & joins in the fun.

If I try going to Whiterun instead, everything is fine until I enter the Bannered Mare, at which point Uthgerd attacks me.

I have Lydia & General Caius with me & am running the "Ultimate Follower Overhaul" mod. However the same thing happens even when I de-activate the mod.

Interesting that the guards don't attack until after the NPCs ... ... ...

Anybody got any clues as to what might be going on?

    Thanks,

There is a rare bug in vanilla Skyrim in Whiterun hold. If you kill anyone and kill all witnesses so the bounty never gets reported sometimes very rarely the game still thinks you have a bounty when you do not. This makes certain citizens that have certain guard like AI attack you (Elrindir, the people of Riverwood, everyone in Dragonsreach, and rarely random guards not inside Whiterun) and because you technically do not have a bounty you can not pay off anything to fix it. And because of this if you defend yourself you will get an assault bounty and then the guards will attack you as well.

Now there are 2 ways to fix it. Either walk up to a guard that is non hostile and punch him to get a measly 40 gold bounty and pay it off. This fixes the bug. (can also work by getting an assault bounty by defending yourself from the glitched people)

Or open the console and select any guard and type paycrimegold you will be teleported to Dragonsreach and have any stolen items taken as if you really payed for a crime. But no gold will have been removed since you were only paying off the phantom bounty the game forgot to properly clear from earlier.

Hope this helps and sorry for that bug. I do not know what causes it. But I an assure you mods had nothing to do with it. I got it before in completely vanilla Skyrim before I even started using mods. It is a rare but annoying bug. thankfully most characters do not ever get it.
