Mods using "Harmony" crash on startup.
roykr replied to LordCorDox's topic in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's Discussion
Having the same issue. Nothing suggested here seems to work. -
Your experience seems to be consistent with mine. I didn't make the connection, but I haven't had the bug happen in a long time, and I also uninstalled Tania quite some time ago, so now that you mention it, it makes sense. Thanks.

Make NPCs ackowledge Custom Race as vanilla race?
roykr replied to fuzzylumpkins's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Necro. Very much interested in an answer to this myself. I've modded a custom race I downloaded to simply be a younger breton (stats are the same), but I don't have a clue as to how to get the NPCs to recognize me as such. -
I find it very strange that I can pull a burning torch out of my pocket, as well as put it back in there without putting it out. Not only does it look strange, it gives me advantages in combat I shouldn't have (torches make for great attack interrupters, troll slayers, let's me light up an interior with no delay; ensuring I don't accidentally run into a dead end when I'm spotted, etc.). In short; torches are OP. Having to light it up with something before being able to use it as a light source or put enemies on fire with it, and having to put it out properly to put it down without dropping it would significantly alter the way I play this game.

Indeed. Inigo has yet to disappoint me at this point in time though, so maybe I've found what I'm looking for.

I'd like a follower who does not start talking about Eorlund Greymane while I'm about to pick up an Elder Scroll, or start singing while we're sneaking through a dark ruin full of sleeping undead, or other equally silly things, while still being somewhat interesting. Just downloaded Inigo and Roderick Redbeard and will test them out once I encounter them.

Requiem doesn't have a "Difficulty". It's an unleveled persistent world. Sounds fun though. Might have to try it out.
-
Interesting mod, though it seems very exploitable. I'm also trying not to mess up Requiem's game balance, and requiem does a lot to shouts.

Interesting mod, though it sounds very exploitable, and Requiem already does much to shouts that I'm trying not to mess with.

I already die in one or two hits with Requiem, so no problem on the global damage end of things. Also got AI mods but forgot to list them. Got a video showcasing this speed mod by any chance? I actually found several mods that fit the description but none of them seem to have showcases.

TK Combat looks OP. Dodge is already in Requiem. Recoil and hitstop would make me paranoid, thinking I'm being hit every time I attack. Ultimate Combat makes Requiem too easy. I hate lock on :V Honestly, thanks though. I hadn't checked out all of those mods before.

In my never-ending pursuit of the perfect immersive experience, this is what I've come to rely on as of now: http://www.docdroid.net/p3l3/mod-list.pdf.html I'm very much interested in hearing of ways I could further improve my game. Cheers.

My game crashes to desktop nearly every time I crouch. All I can find online is that the wearable lanterns mod causes/used to cause this, but I've never used that mod. Plugins:

"Added the option to terminate all scripts to allow a clean uninstall or to fix problems." Not seeing this option in the MCM. -
You can disable the quantity slider in the SkyUI mod config.

Not a mod I've seen before, but does anybody know if one exists that removes the restriction on crafting and similar actions while in combat? I'm tired of not being able to craft because some sabrecat on the other side of Skyrim is mad at me.

I made a mod for my personal use where I replaced silly looking weapons by better ones found all over the nexus. The melee weapons all work as intended but bows don't get replaced despite being in the correct directory with the exact same mesh name as the one in the creation kit. In fact, swapping the model in the creation kit gives me the default bow model despite quite clearly having selected my replacement mesh. Seriously, What gives? Edit: Whaaaaa... restarting the game fixed it. I didn't have to do this for any of the other weapons but perhaps it was necessary in the case of bows because they're rigged? Anyways, got it sorted.

Already using that one :)

Just put this thing together and gave it a test run. Works well but I'm gonna have to do something about the specularity (reflection maps, perhaps?) on a few of the weapons before I'll be happy with everybody carrying one of these around. Might even replace some of the armor sets as well if I can find suitable substitutes.

Not unless you're playing in a leveled world, which is your own fault. Also, Orcrist wouldn't be an exceptional weapon, it'd be an orcish sword.

What are the best body mods (skin, face, eyes.) for females?
roykr replied to MehrunesDagon013's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
(Old screenshot, old setup, old hardware) Children of the Sky Merida's hair Brows http://i.imgur.com/2sZJJ7x.png This would look cooler at night near a light source, no doubt. -
Started a little project where I replaced a couple of silly vanilla meshes/textures with better, more practical looking ones made by other people. I was happy with the results and figured I could take this further, replacing as many weapons my current resources will allow for, then share the package if I can obtain the various content creators approval. Here's a PDF illustrating what I've planned to replace with what thus far. http://www.docdroid.net/oe0o/weapon-replacer.pdf.html If you know of a weapon that would fit better than something I've picked, you know of something I might not have found yet, or you think I'm making a bad choice, please tell me. PS: I care more about the weapons that see a lot of use (Iron-Orcish) than the ones that don't (Glass-Daedric). I want to keep this simple and compatible with everything, so no plans to do Skyforge steel, as it would require an esp plugin. Cheers.

Idea - How to make pickpocketing worth a damn. Pickpocketing as it is now, is extremely poorly implemented. People are encouraged to either savescum or not use the skill at all. Period. I don't imagine many people actually go through the tedium of getting caught and waiting in a cell, over and over. In most cases it will not make sense to do so, in or out of character. So, what I am suggesting is a simple and (probably) easy to implement fix: Make it so your chance of success is either 0% or 100%. Anything that would normally be below 50% becomes 0% Anything that would normally be above 50% becomes 100% It's not the perfect fix, but it makes pickpocketing usable by people who don't savescum and removes the tedium associated with the skill.

As much as I like the Elder Scrolls games, the armors never made a lot of sense, especially in Skyrim. Fur outfits that leave you half naked out in the cold? "Heavy Armor" that leaves you completely open below the waist? Boob plate that would likely redirect a sword swing towards your neck while making it impossible to bring your hands together? Glass!? No thanks, I say. As much as I appreciate the Elder Scrolls lore and everything; armor tiers with meshes/textures that more closely resemble the development of armor in terms of materials and techniques in the real world would be a huge improvement in my opinion. There is an enourmous amount of replica armor in existence today that is both functional and beautiful/cool (much more so than Skyrim armor), so a mod such as this shouldn't be displeasing to anybody but the TES purists and the skimpy armor fans. http://www.thortrains.com/uniforms/fullarmor1.jpg Most armours would be made from everything between hardened hide to high-carbon steel, with the higher tiers involving some more exotic minerals; perhaps resulting in a more stylized look, such as blackened/blued steel or etched armor with brass (moonstone?) ornating. http://www.ageofarmour.com/images/gothic_gauntlet.jpg A higher tier of light armor could look something like this with mail cuisses and an arming jacket beneath, adding mail to the unprotected areas. Would be better than glass armor at the very least. http://armstreet.com/catalogue/full/fantasy-elven-functional-armor-kit-4.jpg I know this would require a lot of work, but people have put more effort into less significant mods so one can always hope, right? I have stuff like this in real life. It seems obsurd that in a video game where the sky is the limit, Bethesda makes the decision to nearly exclusively give the denizens of Tamriel impractical AND ugly looking protective gear. "JaySuS swords" already does a fine job of adding better swords to the game- too bad it's not a full replacer.

Use the Requiem Overhaul.
