  1. can you tell me how you were able to create the (_go) model. I've been having that issue as well.
  2. Following some info from the niftools.org site I was able to get some of the mesh branches to match those I've seen in other mods. Am I supposed to manually change the main node over to a fade node? Also, I see that some of them have the BSInvMarker. I didn't get this in my export from blender. I've tried making my own and even copying and pasting from other mods. Everything I've attempted has caused the creation kit to completely crash. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated on this matter. I haven't had much luck getting help through this forum or google. Please help....pretty please... Y
  3. Does anyone know how to create the world objects for the creation kit? These end with " _GO " at the end of the file names. I've made a mod that I'd like to add into the game. When I drop the item in game, it is nowhere to be seem. Additionally, the item takes forever to load in the inventory menu's viewer. I wish to create a low res version of something like a box container or something for my item. When I open one of the meshes in NifSkope, I see that I need to make a fade node or something, which explains one of the errors I received from the creation kit. Is there a way to generate a mesh for this automatically? Please Help. Y
  4. Elizinator, Maybe you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the .dds plugin. Additionally, do a disk cleanup for whatever drive you are using as the scratch disk. If you want to go even further, perhaps perform a diskcheck and choose to correct any errors for that drive. This would potentially solve any hardware issues. I hope this helps. Good luck. Y EDIT: Just had an after thought. Make sure that you are allowing Photoshop to use enough memory. You can change this in the settings. Y
  5. I seem to have solved the problem for my hat. Now to try other body parts. *Fingers Crossed*
  6. Have you tried moving anything that changes character appearance such as hair all the way to the to top of your load order? Put Apachii Hair right under the update.esm (put at load order 02) followed by the rest of the stuff. Also, the compatibility mod add for your dragonbone weapons may conflict with some other stuff, so I recommend uninstalling it and then re-installing without the compatibility patch. I hope this helps.
  7. Hey all, I've been trying to import a mesh I made in Blender over to Nifskope to add to Skyrim. Following the adding armor to Skyrim tutorial on the Nexus wiki page I imported the body part I wanted to work on and made my mesh around it. At point of export though, I wind up with the head, the NPC Head, and the NPC Spine data in my nif file. So I went back and deleted to head and spine pieces so that I only have my hat and the NPC head data like all the other .nif files I have looked at in Nifskope while looking for comparisons. The problem is that I don't have the BSDismemberSkinInstance data anymore. I've tried manually creating this and adding the skin links and I have also tried copying from similar items. I've messed with numbers and values and all I get in return is mesh soup. Does anyone know how to fix this. I'm sure that there is something not getting transferred when I export the .nif file from Blender but I have no idea what. I've been working on this for days now and I haven't had any luck. Please help. PLEASE!!! Y Looks like I solved my issue....
  8. Have you tried searching for these items using the command console? Hit the ' ~ ' key, the type ' help <insert key word here> 0 " (Without the carrots or quotation marks). This should give you its item code. Then type " player.additem <item code> <number of these you want> " Additionally, sometimes an item can't be crafted until you have earned that skill. For example you can't craft ebony stuff until you have that smithing perk. I don't have the specific mods you listed, but I hope hope this helps. Good luck. Y
  9. I actually had a ton of CTD's when this update rolled out. My main fix was to disable all my mods, make a hard save, and then to re-enable them. I then had some issues where the game would crash after a while. After testing all my mods, I found that all the quest mods were causing the CTD's. So, I've been playing without them and haven't had a problem since. I don't know if they conflict with my other mods or if they just aren't compatible with 1.5.26.0. Even though I wish I could play these quests, my game just won't work with them on. Anyway, I hope this helps. Y
  10. Woot!...thanks very much. I got my texture on perfectly. But now I'm running into a problem where when I try to add my new clothes item into the game, all I see is a floating body part and not my item. Additionally, when I add the item to my inventory using the console and then equip it, that body part gets replaced without my clothes. For example, instead of a hat I get a bald head. I've looked at other head piece meshes, like the glass helmet, and non of them even have body part in them. I get this problem using the Skyrim wiki tutorial. So to remedy this, I tried deleting the head entirely while only importing the "hat" and skeleton. But for some reason, I have a neck, a spine, and an NPC head nodes. Based on other meshes I've looked at in NifSkope, all I need is the NPC head. So I then tried just importing the skeleton and parent from the chef's hat and then importing just my mesh and then exporting everything together. Which then leaves me without any dismemberment data. So when I try to create one, I add the dismemberment piece manually, and then copy and paste the other two pieces (skin and something else) and properly link them. From here everything looks great. Except for when I try to add bones. The second I add bones, my mesh disintegrates into mesh soup. Argh! And now I'm stuck. I've been trying many different things for hours on end to no avail. Would somebody please help me? Again, thanks a bunch Chargerguy1973 !! And sorry that was so long winded. Y
  11. I've continued messing with NifSkope after reading and watching even more tutorials. My UV maps aren't lining up properly. Any ideas? Anyone? Please...
  12. First of all, I am a noob at modding and using this forum. Please be gentle if I am posting in the wrong place or if this has been answered and (if) you know the link, please direct me to it. Following the Nexus wiki tutorials and several others online, I have gotten to the point where I am trying to add my (made from scratch) design imported from Blender. When I try to add my (also made from scratch) texture, the UV maps don't line up and are all over the place. I created the texture and normal map dds files in both Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Gimp, just to see either program was causing the problem. I have literally spent about 48 straight hours learning how to mod only to come to a screaming halt. I find that the tutorial in the Nexus wiki is a bit tough to follow, but after 3 front and back pages of my own notes I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. Anyway, that was beside the point. Please help. What information do I need to provide to get better help etc... PC specs in case they matter. Win 7 64-bit 8 Gb PC2-8500 RAM @ 1066 MHz.
