  1. Okay, so. On my custom outfit there is a holster/open pouch on her thigh, so I imported a blood pack and 2 stimpaks, positioned them and all. When I did weighting, I copied the bones from the pouch itself. It seemed smartest, since I want the items to stay with the pouch which is already weighted, right? Well, the blood pack stays just fine. The stimpaks just refuse to stay in there though. I've tried several times to re-copy the pouch's bones/weights in Outfit Studio (Pouch = Reference, selected all the bones, then selected all the stimpak pieces, then hit copy selected). The colors in the bone section of Outfit Studio seem to match (they match the pouch + the blood pack) and yet they still move incorrectly in game. Is there a better item I can try copy weights from, maybe? Or am I missing a step? I'm still fairly new to the process, and am willing to learn. But for now I've hit a brick wall. 2. Hello! I've been searching high and low about this, but I'm afraid I'm hitting a wall, as I'm pretty new to creating a mod for FO4. I would first like to preface this with: - I have tried the FaceRipper method. (Both via just FaceRipper ["Player -> Danse" Between the fresh save containing the preset as the PC, saving/applying it to my real save], as well as creating an ESP using FO4Edit) - I have tried using LooksMenu on the NPC. The NPC in question is Danse and I was told it might be pretty likely I'd have to do this via CK because he is a "unique model" in the game, and that that's probably why the above methods not only didn't work, but warped his face. Results: https://i.imgur.com/FCxQ9Ie.png The image on the left is the preset I had made and saved to LooksMenu, on the player character. The right is what happens no matter what way I try to import the face onto him. (I also tried two other Danse replacers from the Nexus, both of which mess up his face as well. So this problem seems very specific to Danse.) I'm open to any other methods you suggest for me to achieve what's going on, but for now I've been exploring using the CK as my friend suggested. All I have is the JSON for the preset file in my F4SE directory. And all I've managed to learn is how to open CK and navigate to the BoSPaladinDanse file in "Actors" and check out all this neato little information on him, but no way to actually import the Json file. The only import option I have is ".npc" which I have no idea about yet. Alternatively: This is literally just so I can be kind of selfish about his appearance when/if I side with the BoS. He looks boring by default. If it's too much of a pain in the ass, I know I can use LooksMenu very easily to apply the preset to other companions, so I'll just do that so it doesn't go to waste. Thank you for your time and patience.
  3. Hi there! Thank you in advance for looking at this and answering. I downloaded a preset and loaded it into the F4SE preset folder (also tried Face Ripper) and the results are...questionable. (I have tried this via looksmenu preset list as well as FaceRipper). My goal is to put the face on Danse. Preset In Question: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18801 My Results (I changed the hairstyle): https://i.imgur.com/FCxQ9Ie.png ;; On the left is applied to PC, on the right is to Danse. I know I have all the necessary things that the person listed in the desc (which is primarily just LooksMenu/LooksMenuCC) but uh. I'm not quite sure where I've messed up here. I also am not sure if it's 'cause I'm trying to apply it to an NPC or not. Sometimes when I mess with LooksMenu I get the buggy eyes thing so I wasn't too worried about that, as it usually resets/fixes itself when I reboot the game. But... as you can see, that's the least of my issues. EDIT: Loaded a new save and tried the preset on the player character and it loaded fine. Not sure why it's having a hissy fit over it being on and NPC. On a side note, now I can't get his face to switch to anything else :\ EDIT2: Whenever I apply the preset (I also tested with my original Danse mod) it now will pick up stuff like the hair and beard, and most of the facial shape. However, the eyes still remain weirdly bugged out, eyebrows are f***ed up, and they have permanent duck lips.
  4. Yeah. I've turned off Radiation VFX for now and left on the Chem/Alcohol and see how it goes for a while. If it happens again, I'll turn off Chem FX too and see if that lessens it. Thank you for taking the time to help me :)
  5. Thank you, I'll take out that mod. I must've forgotten it when I put in NAC. I checked the MIsc. Settings and I know I turned off stuff like Sunlight Variation, Fake Interior Darkening, Radioactive Rain. The first two were turned off thinking that might be the culprit. I've loaded up the game for tonight and I don't see the effect even happening again (Same spot, time, weather, as I saved and logged out moments after recording the second video). --- Mid post here I went in and tested some theories and I think I figured it out. It's the effect from taking a stimpack (I didn't recall ever seeing that before outside of the initial blurryness). Is it supposed to keep going? I turned off the Chem&Alcohol VFX as well as Radiation VFX and took another stimpack, nothing seems to be happening this time. it's really strange because I hadn't taken any stimpacks before the clips above. So I turned Chem/Alcohol back on, but left Radiation off, took several stimpaks in a row (thank god for previous saves) and now I only get the stimpak effect, nothing else lingers. Are stimpaks supposed to have a radiation visual even though they don't do anything regarding radiation? Or is it maybe just NAC being fancy? Thank you for your post, it definitely helped me look in the right place.
  6. Admittedly, this is my first FO4 playthrough (on a personal level, I watched my boyfriend play it through when it came out) so I don't know if this is actually normal or not. I'm having a "breathing" issue that I think has to do with the weather, and while I'm not 100% sure if it's a mod issue/effect, I'm leaning towards "it probably is." It is not constant. It randomly happens, usually during bright/clear weather. I tried resetting the weather in the NAC holotape, but it didn't get rid of it. (I like to keep it on random weather, with real time climate, if that's anything) Video examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z21t4w-ru8 (Give it a moment to get to the parts I mean: around 14s and 39s) You'll notice it goes from my sharp, saturated sort of look to a super gray and blurry one, then back. It happens seemingly at random. I have provided my mod list and LO as I'm not sure if this is NAC's fault or what. My Mod List: https://pastebin.com/vnDisQnZ Loot Order: https://pastebin.com/0068uMa1 (For NAC, I have disabled various weathers too, such as time warp and dark sky [and it's variants]. The video above happened during Clear/Sunny) Thank you for your time.
  7. I've tried a few, as their screenshots always looked super smooth. In the game, both with and without these mods, my character's skin always looks super rough, like her pores and sandpaper had a weird baby. So I don't quite understand if I'm doing something wrong? My graphic settings are all high, with my texture settings on Ultra. I use CBBE, so my favorite choice so far (would be) the "Silky Smooth Skin" for CBBE, but alas, she doesn't look as smooth. Thank you kindly for your time. I feel like this is such a dumb question and that the answer is super obvious or something, but I tried searching everywhere and couldn't find anything.
  8. I had the "normal" version of this texture pack before and had to change to a different version because I started using the CBBE version for the body. I read the description of them, but I'm a little confused, and new to using FO mods at all. I found a preset for the face and it requires the texture pack. Will the fact that I use the CBBE version of the pack effect anything? Thank you for your time, in advance. I apologize for such a noobish question!
