So, i did that, and they're in the game... but they won't show up. If I equip this for instance: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3454 It behaves as if I have a shield, but it's invisible. I'm lost.

Noobish mod question 101: I downloaded several mods (all of which show up if you search the nexus for "uruk" and extracted them to the skyrim/data folder and made sure the enable files line in the .ini file was =1. They don't seem to work, and I'm not knowledgeable enough about modding to hazard a guess why. Assistance is appreciated.
