  1. I literally couldn't care less about it to be honest. This is an important issue with COD because the games have barely a 1 year life-cycle, but Skyrim... I will still be playing this in 20 years, same as I still play Arena and Daggerfall today. If I had to choose between getting DLC 1 month early and modding possibilities I know which I would choose lol Does seem that the Netflix Box players feel they have some divine right to get DLC early these days but I don't lose any sleep over it.. TL:DR version: Consololololol, who gives a s***.
  2. ^^^This. Honestly, I would have sided with the Thalmor, were it possible. Same here, I made a high elf and realised I couldn't join the Thalmor, deleted him and haven't switched on Skyrim since lol
  3. Tried Daggerfall? You should really try it. It's quite confusing at start, but a real star in the TES series. How I both hate and love that game! It actually got a class system so you can "build" a character, and min/max. Otherwise, I'd say it's a fair choice between Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Both are great games. I enjoyed Fallout slightly more though. Agree with this, if you haven't played Daggerfall its a free download from the ES website and is in my opinion, and a lot of elder scrolls fans opinions, the best game of the series. I am now also eagerly awaiting the release of the CK before I turn back on Skyrim. Its sad that after 100 hours I have already done pretty much all there is to be done without the CK release.
  4. Kinda agree, I like Skyrim but there's no way I will put in the hours that I did on Morrowind or even Oblivion. As someone else said before the compass arrow has just dumbed down the whole game, I want to have to read quest descriptions again and actually look at who I am attacking. To me Skyrim is just a huge game of 'Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla quest dialogue' Now where's the arrow pointing, lets follow it until I just finish the quest. Seems really dumbed down from older ES games and I am not even gonna get started on how similar character creation is. Bring back major and minor skills please Bethesda. Sickens me how they turned the ES into fallout :( Every skill starting the same... Perks on level up.... Followers..... Need I go on? Dont get me wrong I liked fallout as much as the next guy but I want my old Elder Scrolls back dammit!!!
  5. Imperials for me. If it was a united effort of all the nords against the Imperials then I would have gone with the stormcloaks. But half of them are with the Imperials so the stormcloaks are just rebels who tried to overthrow their king and usurp his throne .
  6. Gaming companies put all their time and effort into console because its their biggest earner even though the PC is vastly superior and then they port games from the console to the PC (wtf lol??) thats why we hate consolololol noobs.
  7. I play both, whichever looks best in the race I want. For example I would never play a female Orc cause male Orcs are just beastly and female Orcs are so damn ugly. Also I would never play a male wood elf because they all remind me of Fargoth and the Adoring Fan ;D
  8. I assure you that my raised Bandit leader did turn on me and my companion (Lydia?). I had a save right before the bandit fight and I kept reloading, every time he would turn on us. Thats what he is saying, your spell is too low a level to raise that enemy. Not sure of the exact levels per spell but I will try to give you an idea how it works.. For example, (Novice) Raise Zombie would be lvl 0-10 (Apprentice) Reanimate Corpse would be lvl 11-20 (Adept) Revenant would be lvl 21-30 (Expert) Dread Zombie would be lvl 31-40 (Master) Dead Thrall would be lvl 41+ In this scenario if you use Raise Zombie on a level 15 enemy it wont work, to raise that enemy you would need to use Reanimate Corpse. If you want to raise a level 37 enemy you would need to use at least the expert spell, Dread Zombie. Hope this helps
  9. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1952 There ya go mate, have fun :)
  10. Absolutley yes, buy it before the sale runs out. As much as I like Skyrim I would rank the ES games so far like this. 1. Morrowind 2. Daggerfall 3. Oblivion 4. Skyrim 5. Arena If you enjoy Skyrim you will also enjoy Oblivion
  11. Not sure what game your playing but the one I am playing called Skyrim there is a massive difference lol. I assume like me, you are a veteran at the elder scrolls games and can easily roll through the game but to someone not that experienced, be fair, there is a massive difference. Once you hit level 5-6 on Master difficulty any enemy with a 2 handed weapon will almost 1 hit kill you with a power attack. Sure if you play as an assassin type with a bow and 100 sneak you could roll your face on the keyboard and win but not as a first time pure mage. The guy above is just a sneak abusing archer who prob used enchanting hacks to get a 5000 damage weapon :D I would disregard his post. If this is your first time on master difficulty or playing as a pure mage you will strugle for sure, don't worry about that. It will be quite exciting :D Also far more rewarding Will try to answer as best I can from ES experience :D 1. You could do either, but in my opinion if you will be playing with a robe I would take heavy armour for boots and gauntlets to get as much as armour as possible from only 2 pieces. 2. Nope not at all, the only way it could- at the start would be it will be very difficult to get a good + magicka regen% piece of armour. Most of the starter robes will have +50% regen which will help and the hoods have +30/40/50 magicka. The only way armour will impede you will be that you cant benefit from these enchantments until you get end game items or high level enchanting. 3. Illusion is great for dealing with multiple enemies, hit one with fury and he will attack the others then you just go in and finish off the survivors. My advice would be to max out Illusion (IMO best caster spells in game for higher dificulties) I would mainly spec into Illusion and Conjuration with some points into Destruction. 4. http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=66665 Is a decent thread, its not so much a guide as players feedback on Master difficulties. They give some tips and tricks from their own experiences. 5. I wouldn't think so, so long as you go into it with the right attitude (which you are) this will be considerably harder than your last run. Sneaky ranger types are already the easiest types to play so you have a double whammy of a harder class and harder difficulty. Take it slowly and use all the spells available to you, don't just try to dual cast flames and be surprised when the enemies are smashing you around. The mistake that most people make with mages is all the see is Destruction, Destruction, Destruction.. BURN THEM WITH FIRE!!! That's fine at the very start or super endgame when your spells are really powerful, at the start as I said before, Illusion is the go to for a successful mage. Mage has just gotta play smarter than a thief character, pick your battles :) Draugr can be difficult as they resist fury so try to fight 1 at a time. For your destruction spells I would stick to fire. Frost and shock damage fatigue and magicka but enemies seem to have unlimited of both so that's a waste. Too many enemies are resistant to frost since its up in Skyrim so I would avoid frost damage like the plague. Shock is ok but Fire IMO is the best.
  12. Really looking forward to doing what manomama7 said later, having 15 stones of barenziah weighing .5 each that I cant remove from my inventory pisses me off so much, worst idea ever
  13. Have you re-mapped M1 button to something else? Heard a few people say if you re-map M1 or M2 the game doesn't like it :D If you have re-mapped anything at all, try to reset to default maybe you misclicked. Think M1 is set to left hand attack but its also afaik selecting options in menus even though it doesn't say it. Or maybe its external, if you have an Alienware PC or a Logitech mouse both of these have software that can re-map your buttons. Maybe theres a problem in there. Anything to do with what the resolution the game is set to and the maximum resolution of your monitor, maybe the hit-box for your menu options is not where the writing is and your not actually clicking on it. Know when I got my new PC my monitor couldn't run at 1920x1080 and it used to just cut off all the sides of my desktop. All your drivers up to date? Direct x up to date? Probably not the problem but ya never know. Do you play windowed or full screen? Try hit ctrl+f10 and click again. Works sometimes if you are swapping between windowed and fullscreen, or if you are alt+tabbing between windows. It kinda resets your pointer back to the game, not entirely sure how to define it but I am sure someone else can. Again I am not sure I am just throwing out stuff as it seems like its nothing to do with the game itself. Strange problem
  14. Quite simply, I would love a mod that would add these 2 spells into Skyrim. I am sure that I am not alone in the fact that I HATE to fast travel, I never did it in Oblivion but the terrain in Skyrim is so unforgiving on top of how difficult it is climb it is very hard to play this game without fast travelling. These two spells would make it so that you would be able to technically fast travel but it would be by a spell which is cool by me. :D This would just be a mod for the other purists out there who want to play the game as a real RP experience.
