  1. IT LIVES MWAHAHAHAA err... i mean it works. Thanks a lot guys, the game now runs fine. Ive had no crashes in multiple multi-hour sessions (i might have gotten carried away)... Seems like it was an outdated version of the "Unofficial Patch" Mod, which acted like the up-to-date version in the organizer. Thank you again for all the help.
  2. Although i found an issue with MO in general: It appears to create a "C:\Program" file on getting started. Apparently, thats an issue with it not reading the blank in "C:\Program files" correctly, but I doubt thats causing problems, the file created is always empty...
  3. Okay, another post: Ive played the game for about 1.5 hours now. Made my way from Jamaica plains up to Hangmans alley, which I use as secondary base and built around in there for quite some time. I often saved, expecting a crash, but it didnt crash (yet). Then I modded my weapons and, noticing how "fluent" it ran, considering i did not have "shadow boost" active, decided to use a modded-in mod. Still, no crash. I saved and started to roam around the Commonwealth to get to another settlement to finish a Quest. After a while, my game CTD'ed. The Log again ends with a "SpotLightDetect01" animation, suggesting it crashed as a enemy spotlight found me. (At least thats what i understood. However, i did not see a spotlight before i crashed. maybe theres an issue.) Ill edit in my current LOOT load order here:
  4. Thanks guys - the game is a lot more stable now. I tried installing NAC and got a CTD, but it ran quite some time longer than i tested last time. (about 23 min) So I still get a CTD rarely, aka between 15-30 min. The Papyrus makes it seem its a problem in the actual vanilla game since theres no problems with mods mentioned, heres everything that wasnt a message about OWR missing:
  5. Old save, items stored in a trunk somewhere in Jamaica Plains and Dogmeat send to Sanctuary to avoid problems because I had Cait with me atm, too. No crashes.
  6. Ive checked the items and its not as much as i expected: Its a .45 rifle with some mod-introduced modification (namely the barrel, most likely added through "extended weapon mods"). A Silver Shroud armour, also carrying mod-mods and a pair of glasses with mod-mods. (Both modified by one mod, probably armour modifications expanded) Yup. Stuck those into a workbench, together with other stuff cramping my inventory, which howere should not have affected my save, told poor dogmeat ill pick him up at Sanctuary Hills and ran around the wasteland carelessly for 15 minutes until i bombed myself with artillery and got immedialy killed by a lowbob raider.
  7. The shader bug came from a problem with an NVidia driver and is now fixed.
  8. Aaand another update: It might not be the savefiles. Ive started the same profile with the old game, crammed all my inventory into a workbench except some positively not modded weapons and armour - and now the game runs fine for 15 mins. It looks werid, is less optimized and has half the content, but it runs. Basically Vanilla except dogmeat is still with me and my companion. [*EDIT* the game CTD'd when dogmeat got into bleedout by falling off a railway once again] Which is weird as fuggery and i dont understand anything anymore. Well I do understand stuff, but still... Apparently, the crash is/was caused by something in my inventory, if that makes any sense. Or maybe the particular missing of a mod of something in my inventory. Im verifying my files via steam now as recommended, and ill look further into it this evening.
  9. Another update: Starting a new game worked this time, (load vanilla profile with new character) [*EDIT* fixed: Nvidia drivers were acting up after an update*/EDIT* but ive still had some issues with shaders depicting the character hands as strongly shaded and the pip-boy too, making it partially unreadable.] I did not crash this time - heres the log (I alt-F4'd to desktop). Ill work out wether this profile works for the old safefiles aswell or not later today. However, playing a new character isnt an option for me. Ive just spend too much time on the old game to enjoy having to start completely anew. Is there a way to fix such crashy savefiles? I cant go back to relatively recent savefiles either, because Bethesda geniusly doesnt let you save more than 3 autosaves and thats the only savefile you can have with HC. All 3 are within "the last 15 minutes" ingame.
  10. Update: Disabling all mods by starting a new profile did make the game more stable, but it still crashed after few minutes. Heres the crashlog, i had to crop some out of it because its too long: As I expected, its mostly missing mods (i choose to crop them out instead of the stuff i didnt understand). Ill now try to run the game on a new character for testing.
  11. MO claims, as far as I understood it, to not fiddle with your Fallout files, but rather install the mods virtually on startup via "hooking" - so uninstalling the mods completely should not change much of the behaviour. Ill try it though. If that wont help Ill try to run the game from the basics again, disabling all mods then enabling one after another. (I doubt its the savefiles, since the same files ran on NMM as i did a new installment of the mods.)
  12. Actually, I think it just renamed them to (".ini.ini") (or ".INI.ini"), causing the game to automaticall recreate standard settings. No secure idea though, I was completely confused by why or how it suddenly worked...
  13. Thanks for the help so far. Im running on Mod Organizer 2. Ive unchecked the incompatible mods- in fact; i I unchecked all environmental mods for testing. (I did have the NAC+TrueStorms-Patch enabled and installed) (The OWR issue didnt bother me before, since the mod appeared fully functional.) But i still get CTD'ed after a max of 3 min. The Papyrus again isnt of much help to me, there appears to be the same warnings as before and only few new data. As usual, Functional Displays cant load the mods on a weapon (ive fully disabled the mod and ran the game, it just produced an unreadable crashlog), but thats not a big issue. Heres the unreadable crashlog: The new crashlogs seem to have an issue with the usual weird (protectron-related) warnings, the usual survival mode errors, an "object 0x000001E4002510E0 - a UU_QuestScript" (i cant find any information on this one) and "Loaded timer offset for [Default2StateActivator < (00022117)>] is too negative for the current time - forcing to 1 second. (Offset: -2, Current: 0)" Heres the new Papyrus crashlog, they all look like this or similar. Another note: For testing reasons, i even started a new profile and kept all environment and/or texture mods disabled. Maybe this info will help: I had similar problems before switching to MO2, on NMM. I did a complete reinstall etc, but ultimately, having a profile without any graphical mods (and some others) made the game more stable. Then I found a thread talking about renaming the .ini files of the settings (literally adding ".ini" to the name) and the game ran. I have no idea how this did help, but it did, or at least made it seem that way. Still, i couldnt install any more mods and i didnt want to keep it that way - compared to the modded version i ran fluently for quite some time, it looked terrible, so i switched to MO2.
  14. Its a "sub-mod", another mod by the same author for fixing a quite usual bug that might happen when installing SnB, making your "structures" category disapear. Ive kept it on because ive gotten said bug multiple times. True storms doesnt seem to be the issue, i often tried running without it, still getting crashes; Ill probably try that again if the other stuff doesnt fix it for me. Thanks for the help, though.
  15. for example How do you see they are conflicting? If its the name, this mod installs 3 different versions of its content: some are cheaper, but unstable etc. If it isnt I dont know how to differ the working ones from the problematic.
  16. So Ive been having random CTDs (crash to desktop) recently. I play on Survival difficulty and a lot of the mods I have been running for ages without problems. I tried everything i found online or could think of: removed some mods, reinstalled everything and even changed to MO2 from NMM. I even found some bugs in the mods and got them fixed if they were local or reported them if they werent. Alltogether, I gained some stability, but still, my game keeps crashing randomly. Its not the savefile, I started a new game and got random CTDs there, too. Its not specific places either, I might CTD everywhere, as long as its outside. (Maybe its happening inside now, too, as you can probably imagine its hard getting anywhere) Id appreciate any help I can get, and thank you in advance for your work. Heres my LOOT-sorted load order: Heres the latest Papyrus-crashfiles in text:
  17. Thanks for the replies so far, Ill look into that mod But it looks to be a little too green and have some other things i wish were different...
  18. [Not enough wood] [Not enough steel] Im sure Im not the only one constantly getting these messages, especially often when building up a new settlement. The problem: Thing is, not having enough wood left, especially when youre in the middle of a damn forest, old houses or even a whole town of scrap gets really annoing. (AND UNIMMERSIVE) Also, wood scrap usually drops really few of the needed items, while having a relatively high weight. With about 200 more of these note boards, i can finally start building that house for the new farmers! yay Same with steel or other building material. Seriously, is everyone of the people living there f***ing blind or something? Like that wouldnt be annoing enough, the settlers of these new settlements just wont stop complaining like get your lazy butt out there and build a bed yourself if you have to get one that badly, you *censored* while standing around doing nothing, or scavenging up to 2 items per day (with a chance of getting literally nothing). waaay to go a**hole, great job aquiring that one toothbrush and single pencil! So scavengers arent really helpful, either. The possible solution: -Why not make "logger" an advisable job, like build them a logging station where they can saw around on a log or something, idc you can build a whole mountain cabin if you want -make scavengers have a stable income of basic matereal or aka a "Stop sucking so hard you blind-ass waste of food!"- patch -make traders actually offer useful amounts of basic scrap or "Oh nice, just 1300 caps for 250 wood, i might just build half a veranda with that!" -get some other idea, idc you got full creative freedom from my side if you want to program this Seriously, i suck at programming and would every mod like that would be greatly appreciated. -Maybe make trees choppable, too if youre at it (I found this => mod while looking for one like this, maybe someone likes the additional challenge idk) Im sure a lot of people building settlements got similar experiences and would also appreciate a mod like this. Thanks for reading through this, and for any additional idea or try. Im studying atm and probably wont have too much time to look into this. Also, I have no freaking clue how these forums work Thanks in advance to all participants, modders or whatever FloatingPork
