Yeah NMM itself is crashing now, so creating that folder doesnt seem to fix it for me either.

Well I s'pose Im lucky that I NEVER use the NMM to start the game, I use the direct game link on my comp.

Exact same thing. Was getting identical error trying to install ANY new mods I tried after update. Then I decided to close the manager and reopen it... Now the manager wont even OPEN anymore and I only get the "Something bad seems to have happened." error.
