The collaborative atmosphere has really made modding special over the years. This was clearly not a well thought-out plan by Valve or Bethesda. I think their hearts might have been in the right place but there execution was just awful.

I have quietly sat back and watch the craziness over the last few days and it's been really difficult I am going right now to donate to SkyUI, Frostfall, Immersive iHud and Wet & Cold. I've used their mods from the beginning and this has served as a good reminder that they've worked hard to make a great game even better. Thank you to all the modders for your great work!

Hello all. I've been playing games off an on since the days of Wizardry and Ultima. I had been off the gaming grid since Baldur's Gate II but rediscovered my love when I picked up Oblivion on sale through Steam's holiday sale a year and a half ago. Since then, I have played Fallout 3, L4D2, Terraria, Minecraft and, most-recently, Skyrim. Through Gopher's YouTube vids, I have become a mod downloading addict and am amazed by the breadth and depth of this community. I would love to dive into building mods, but I am barely able to carve out my game-time these days (how I wish the Internet was around back in my high school and college years). Yesterday, I decided to give a little back by buying a lifetime license here in the Nexus. Thanks to all the contributors. You make great games even better. -Cauldar
