  1. I'm still facing the OP's issues, even with the new NMM installed. When trying to activate UIO or Fallout Character Overhaul (3.0) for New Vegas, "An exception occurred in the script" appears and NMM refuses to activate the aforementioned mods. I'm building a fresh mod list, so I can't say what other mods this will impact.
  2. That's trippy, because NMM didn't show it needing an update. But yeah, that was the mod.
  3. The only mods I'm using that require FOSE are Place Everywhere and Looks Menu, both of which I've updated to the latest version to match the current f4se. Their load order hasn't changed since original install when the game worked just fine with f4se. Edit: I forgot about my mod "Rename Anything" which also requires f4se. The mod author has not yet updated the mod itself, so that is what was causing CTD for me. So, looks like it was just the single, outdated mod that broke the game.
  4. I'm not running any ENB, or ReShade. Hence my confusion. Maybe the installation was corrupted and I should retry FOSE? edit: Tried an uninstall/reinstall of FOSE and still CTD on start up
  5. I know, I know, check the boards. Already have and it seems the issue I'm having, though shared, doesn't share the same origins or causations. Or they do, and I'm just an idiot. Anywho, updated to the new FOSE today, go to try to start up the game with it, and immediate CTD before the game even fully launches. Of course, I can run the game off of its original .exe which immediately limits the problem to FOSE itself. Now, I've perused my mod list, which is fairly extensive, and can't find any particular mod that'd be out of date and also relies upon FOSE to function properly. Outside of LooksMenu and Place Anywhere, I don't really have any mods that are actually reliant upon FOSE. So, what on earth is causing my game to CTD the moment I launch with FOSE? Yes, it's the most updated version, yes my game version is current, and yes my mods are current. Is there something just screwy with the latest game update or FOSE?
  6. Except the video no longer exists. Wouldn't happen to know where the download is at, would you?
  7. I'm facing the same issue right now as well. Still trying to figure it out.
  8. Alrighty. Turns out that the FNV4GBE was the only additional thing I needed/was missing. For some reason my system just outright refused to recognize or run the binaries without it. So, problem fixed. Thanks a lot for the input though!
  9. Alright guys, I'm sure this has come up multiple times but scouring the board for answers hasn't yielded much success for me when trying fixes other folks have done. First and foremost, I'm an absolute newb when it comes to modding. I follow instructions word for word, and that's about as far as my knowledge goes. lol So onto the problem here. I'm aware that NVIDIA's latest driver's post Anniverserry pretty much screwed running New Vegas. So I did what a good chunk of people did and just rolled back to an earlier driver. That absolutely worked for getting Vanilla (with all DLC) to run perfectly fine and without any issues (yaaaaaay). However, it's when I try to move onto installing any ENB that I get an outright crash on start up of the game from the initial menu where you can configure things (such as anti-aliasing and what not). Now, I've followed the instructions of pretty much every ENB tutorial I've come across. That includes... 1) Downloading the proper binaries and putting them into my New Vegas root folder (not Data). 2) Downloading the files for the ENB I want (I really want to run Oxide, I just love the updated look). 3) Turning off AA and AF. 4) Run game. The moment I run the game after turning off AA and AF, I get a black screen and the game crashes immediately. I don't get start up and magic text in the upper left hand corner. I'd think the latest NVAC would help except I went to the earlier Drivers, so the NVIDIA bug shouldn't be an issue anymore. I can download any other series of mods (minus ENB binaries and an ENB) and the game will start up/run just fine. Am I missing something here folks? Things of key note. I do NOT have NV4GB yet (not sure if I have to have it for running the ENB or not as it's not listed as a required file). I HAVE tried running ENB both with and without NVSE (same crash regardless). Any help would be much appreciated guys. Seriously, I love NV, nexus has been nothing but an awesome resource, and I'd love to bring my game up to date with all the bells and whistles that comes with ENBs. For a system note, I run Skyrim (DLC) with ENB and multiple graphics overhaul mods without any issue (maintain a solid 50-60fps throughout the whole deal). So my computer itself shouldn't be the actual issue as far as hardware goes. Thanks again folks!
  10. So, I know a couple people have had issues with this, but the couple threads I've seen where people have the issue resolved don't provide instruction as to how they resolved the issue. I'm brand new to modding (just started today) and have been following instructions step by step as I have found them. I'm using the NMM for all of my mods, to include the character overhaul. I've checked the .ini, validated/invalidated and no matter what, when I have the Character Overhaul active, my game crashes at the loading screen when I try to start a new game. Does anyone have any insight as to how I can fix this? I absolutely love the screen shots and really want to run the mod to bring my game up to speed.
