Could be that you are using a beta driver. It wont be the new vegas files since a reinstall would fix anything to do with that.

1. Open fallout.ini file in My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV with Notepad. 2. Look for bUseThreadedAI=0 3. Change to bUseThreadedAI=1 4. Add another line below bUseThreadedAI=1 , iNumHWThreads=2 5. Save and close this file. This fixed a lot of my crashes. Worth doing even if you aren't crashing a lot as it can remove crashing completely. Get CASM: http://www.nexusmods...as/mods/36730/? Nifskope texture weirdness
RandomAlex replied to RandomAlex's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
And here is the modified mesh working with the texture but in the wrong nif version so it wont copy across. http://imgur.com/dAMM54z -
So I've just got into fallout modding and I have dived in headfirst. I made some minor edits to an armor mod I had installed (mesh and texture) and the textures go haywyre in nifscope when I try to use them on my modified mesh when i export it in certain nif versions. The issue only happens when I export in 20.2.0.7 (see picture http://imgur.com/sHXMe19) which is what the unmodified nif version was (which works correctly with the texture changes I made). If i however export from blender in the oblivion setting the modified mesh opens in nifskope with my modified textures correctly but i then cannot paste the branch onto the original mod armor. I know this was quite words and i may not have explained the issue all too well because well..it's a confusing issue. Please see the image for what happens. I've not seen any videos on how to make armor either so I'm going off written tutorials which can be somewhat harder. This is the unmodified mesh with my texture applied.

can vertibirds be scripted in new Vegas?
RandomAlex replied to Bargothemaker's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Maybe contact the maker of this mod they seem to have it down. Most modders are really friendly if approached with caution, ignore the don't feed the modder signs. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45809/? -

NifScope Floating Grey Bullet

There seems to be an animation issue on my Nifscoped weapon. Using the Anti Materiel rifle as a base I have made a suppressed version, for some reason a bullet protrudes from the scope when wielded and when I shoot the weapon the bullet floats forwards then returns to the scope. There doesn't seem to be a node on the scope in nifscope so i have no idea what I've done wrong. Any tips?http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/images/130/3408797-1435176603.jpg

Sounds like your mods have either been installed incorrectly or aren't in the correct place in the load order so they have been replaced by vanilla textures or are overridden by the vanilla textures.

WIP NCR Combat Ranger Armor

That looks amazing would probably not look all too out of place in the new fallout 4 -
I have started having an issue in new vegas where my companions follow distance is ridiculously large. I have removed all companion mods and rehired all companions to see if this fixes the issue (it doesnt). Companions seem to have their follow distance set to a ridiculously high number seemingly at least double what the default follow distance is. I've searched the internet to no avail, has anyone had this issue before? How would i go about fixing this it's a really weird bug. (P.S. Yes i have tried the stay close keep distance command on the companion wheel, keep close is further than default keep distance and keep distance causes companions to be so far they end up teleporting to me more than walking to me)
