Thanks for the help, the first to options didn't work so I've tried the AppData one. I went into plugins.txt and the only thing there was Skyrim.esm but it wouldn't let me edit it, it deleted anything I wrote in there as soon as I closed it (I did save it as well)

Mods that use an esp files are not showing up in the 'Data Files' box so I cannot activate them to use in game, please help :) http://i.imgur.com/QAOp4.png
