  1. Yeah, that was my fault, I meant Esbern. I have several active quests, but none of them relate to this. Whenever I speak to Delphine or the Greybeards, I get a very similar response: they all look as if they're going to reply for a split second, and then go back to what they were doing. For instance, if a Greybeard is worshiping/praying, he'll stand up, face me, and immediately sit back down. I've tried everything Marth77 has suggested, other than the unofficial patches. I've even tried starting up Skyrim without any mods. No dice. I'll try the unofficial patches tomorrow, and if that doesn't work, console commands it is.
  2. Alright, so I've put more time into Skyrim than I'd like to admit. Steam reports that I'm pushing 1000 hours so far. Countless playthroughs, characters, and whatnot. And yet I've never had this issue. Here's my situation. I have three Elder Scrolls - Sun, Blood, and Dragon. I just completed Discerning the Transmundane, though I have not yet met Paarthurnax, or even learned the shout to clear out the blizzard that allows you to see him. I completed the Dawnguard questline, and the last main quest I completed was where you infiltrate the Thalmor Embassy. I was never given the quest to go find Esran, and talking to the Graybeards does nothing for me. Any ideas? As you may know, each Elder Scroll weighs in at 20, so carrying around 60 extra when I'm a stealth character is quite infuriating. I would prefer to not use console commands to complete the Esran quest, but I don't see another way past this.
  3. Ah, thank you! Going to try doing that tonight. Edit: Before I try to do this and end up crying myself to sleep, is this what I'm supposed to be doing (following your latter advice)? Just to be clear, I'm editing a custom armor set (link below) to have the same enchantments as the Archmage's robes. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18113
  4. Hey all, been a part of Nexus for awhile now, though this is my first post. I believe this will be something that is easily answered, but due to my almost complete lack of knowledge in the field of modding, I'm at a loss. Long story short, would like to replace an armor texture in game with one that a modder has already made. Now, I know that replacers certainly exist, and here is my question: could I take any armor texture from Nexus, rename it to the armor texture in-game, and simply replace the file? Basically, it could turn, say, Steel Armor into the Archmage's Robes while still keeping the stats of Steel Armor. I apologize if this is a redundant question, though I'd appreciate any help.
  5. Oh, sorry, I meant to mention that. This is kind of the final straw that told me I'm doing something wrong - even cheating won't work on anything. Am I able to only have only one weapon mod at a time?
  6. I tried installing them manually, and I didn't get them to work that way either. Granted, if I try to install any mod manually, it's a 50-50 chance that it won't work out lol Yeah, I learned about the choices thing when I started using Deadly Spell Impacts, but even if I hadn't, none of these mods have choices. I mean, I'm sure I'm making just a small, stupid mistake, because I never see people having problems in the comments sections of these mods.
  7. I've been lurking around Nexus for some time now, and there's quite a few talented individuals here... unfortunately, I'm missing out on a huge part. I've tried quite a few weapon mods (not replacers or retextures - new weapons), and none of them have worked, so I'm clearly doing something wrong. I currently have Weapons of the Third Era, Sword of the One Eyed Crow, and a handful of other weapon additions in the mod manager. Not a single one of them work, but all other mods do. I can't craft them, Eorlund doesn't sell them, and, obviously, they are never dropped. Are these mods supposed to be handled differently than others? Basically, all I do is download with the manager, install them, and check them on the list... just like with all the other mods. Thank you for any help!
