  1. Thanks in any case Purr4me. You got me thinking on the load order. The problem was indeed there. Previously I let Loot decide. Now I put the esm manually where the mod author suggested. Moving it to the bottom of the DLC list got it sorted.
  2. That may be the reason. For the longest time he didn't require Settlement keywords (I guess it's the mod he's referring to). In the early stages he did require it, then he didn't. Now obviously again. That's what I overread, since I assumed he wouldn't go back to what it originally was.
  3. I understand all of that. But that's why I'm out of my wits. No steam patch since my system crash, none of the mods was updated since my crash and all are in the same load order as they were before the crash. I also checked for conflicts and orphaned files by running LOOT a number of times. And yes, Homemaker does overwrite DLC files which I of course allow.
  4. The mod author clearly states that the esm has to go right under FO4.esm and above the DLCs. The esps can go whereever they want, according to the description. And no, there wasn't a patch after Homemaker was last actualised. Every mod I'm running is up to scratch, but none of them have been changed since I had them all up and running successfully.
  5. I haven't got any mod installed that conflicted with Hommaker previously. They all worked together just fine. Yes, I've read the description, also manually placed the esm at the suggested place in the load order. Which, according to the author is right underneath the main FO esm and before any others esms. The esps, far as I understand the instructions, can take any place within the load order. As I said, I ran it for ages and all through it evolvment to it's current version. I never had this particular problem and can't for the life of me understand what I'm doing wrong or what is suddenly conflicting where there wasn't any conflict before.
  6. I don't know. For me it always was a dream come true. Providing everything the vanilla game should have provided in the first place. I had the bug of not being able to assign settlers, but rerolling to a previous save fixed that just fine. Nuka World did nothing to change that. The patches, since I'm on steam, didn't break it either. I just hope it comes back. I'm not the least bit interested in micromanaging my settlers and chasing them around till I find who's employed and who isn't. It also added to the immersion since it was giving them all names. And don't get me started on the attack alarm system of the vanilla game, which better Settlers also took care of. Apart from having all my roads littered with unremovable corpses after an attack.
  7. Well, that's the one. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1478/? As I said I ran it for ages. Also the current version, and it never caused any problems with my other mods.
  8. I had a system crash a few days ago due to my own stupidty and not setting up a restore point. After restoring the system I reinstalled FO4, redownloaded the mods I used to use and ran into all kinds of problems I never had before. With the same mods in the same load order. I lose pretty much all DLC content when activating homemaker. Starting with Contraptions and ending with Scaffolding. I read and reread the install instructions and followed it to the letter, load order included. But whenever it's active, the build menus are gone. When I deactivate it, the menus are back to normal.
  9. I have pretty much the same issue, but using Unique player bodies. And I have CBBE installed. In my case it's only the player. The NPCs are fine. I either have, as I said in my thread, black texture blotches and these ghoulish sores to boot. Or I have texture remnants all over the body. Although I have textures as well as meshes installed to the Unique player.
  10. OK, I feared he took it down because of theft and turned his back. It doesn't say anything about the reasons when I call it up.
  11. I loved that mod. Lost it due to a system crash and me saving everything through NMM. So all the files are lost and the author took it down. I'd like to manage my settlements as I did before, but I didn't find anything remotely close to what that mod did.
  12. So I had a system crash a couple of days ago. Wiped my drive and had to reinstall everything. Fallout 4 included. So, as before, I go with Unique player bodies. Used body slide to create the body, used my favorite textures to go with the body and everything worked as desired. Apart from the hands. The have black blotches and some texture or mesh remnants on them. I never ran into this problem before. But after overwriting meshes and textures for about a thousands times I'm really at a loss here as to why this problem remains.
  13. And it's the first Beth game I feel like continuing. Even more so since I haven't even started the DLCs as of yet, with this character.
  14. but I saw some mods require it Far as I know only old ones. And always read the small print in the description. I refrained from trying out a certain mod when I read that s#*! was required. The damage it does isn't worth the trouble.
  15. Are you an enemy of your own computer by any chance? Cheat engine? Seriously? That s#*! is riddled with adware. And that's probably only scratching the surface.
  16. I didn't try itin the last 24 hours, but about week ago the servers were entirely down. Said something about too many connections.
  17. I never even tried talking to her. Talking to other was all I needed to know that this is still a Bethesda game not taking into account that things move forward at a certain point. You have similar situations with other factions as well. People talk as if person X or Y was still alive although they're dead for quite some time. In short, they act generic. It never has been any differently with any Bethesda game.
  18. Yeah, I do use CBBE and I know that. But it's hardly notable with light skin. With black skin it's rather obvious. Also the reason I'm asking for some necklace or something along these lines.
  19. I created a black character for a change. But I notice that the neck seam looks terrible. The neck actually is of much lighter color than the rest of the body.
  20. It's the same the other way round. Gage goes all out generic if taking him to the Commonwealth or Far Harbor.
  21. Settlement defences only make sense if the attackers don't spawn smack in the middle. I've made good experiences with the Settlements attack beyond mod. Walling settlements in and giving them strategic defences at your entrances actually makes sense when using that mod. In the game's vanilla state and the areas the mod doesn't cover as of yet, only the defence score really matters. The higher, the unlikely an attack.
  22. If you want to outifti your settlers, the best port of call is the downed flight 1981 or something, in the vicinity of Tenpines. There are a lot of suitcases lying around with all kinds of clean and laundered cloths. And their contents respawn after a certain time.
  23. Well, they actively attack your raider settlements with Vertibirds. It all depends on the defenses you set up there. If they get attacked it's similar to regular settlements. You usually don't have to fire a single shot. Apart from only killing no names usually doesn't alienate any faction. Minutemen seem to be the one exception, since after fighting them you better not travel to the castle for a few days.
  24. Yeah, I dropped 900 mutfruits into their storage and they complain.
  25. The first thing to do, obviously, is to run file verification on steam. That usually takes care of most issues. If that doesn help, you can resort to mod acrobatics.
