Hi all, after a literal few years, I must ask for this. Any of you who have played modded minecraft will know this thing. A Builders wand. If you have, say, five blocks of stone next to each other, clicking with this wand on the broad side of these blocks will place five more. If you click the ten blocks you now have on top, it will place ten more on top of them. I am more interested in 7d2d for the building aspect. I build huge bases. Massive. But what is driving me crazy is the slow building process. Shhoof plop. Shhooff plop. Repeat thousands of times. A builders wand that would let me place rows of blocks in one action would save me oodles of time and frustration. If possible, can someone please make this mod? Pretty please? Even if it places just a few blocks, it would be so much time saved...

I think it should be possible now. Hope it gets done by someone.

As I said elsewhere, it should be possible now. At least, I saw the evidence for it in other mods. For example, Eli's Red Rocket, which is, if I'm correct, a cell, has a connection with a supply line externally. Therefore it should now be possible to hook up home plate to f.i. Hangman's Alley.

This should be doable by now? Elianora has successfully connected a cell to an external workbench... Should be dirt easy to connect it to Hangman's Alley workbench and include it in the 'maze'.- 14 replies

I'd like to see the mod update mechanic improved. The whole manual uninstall thing sometimes annoys me, although I understand why - a certain level of control is wanted - but updating a single mod with a right click or something should not be too hard.

Lol, it works great. All that's left to want is misc, and weapons and armor. In my original request I said I wanted a button (like the elevators) and moving parts. So you're getting off easy. :D

I know, I was talking to Isathar when it was still part of ammo tweaks. Great he brought it out stand-alone. :D

I also curse a lot when my followers walk trough it and scatter it all over the place. Even worse when they dribble, it ends up like everywhere. :) -

I literally have no idea where to start. Well conceptually, I'd try to take a sort of workbench mod, try to open it in fo4edit or one of these tools and see if the code makes any sense to me. There's a few mods that introduce some souped up new workbench (armorsmith, craft able weapons, 2legendarymodifications spring to mind) so maybe opening them in the right tool may give clues to how this magic happens. -
Yeah somehow I don't see Bethesda as a group that actually solves problems, more like a group that introduces various new ones. Don't get me wrong, loving them etc., but if Skyrim was allowed as evidence you may see I'm going in the right direction with my assumption. :) I was thinking to ask the guy that did armorsmith extended to have a look at this. He clearly has workbenches figured out, he may at least be able to say if it's currently possible or not. I pm'd ddproductions83 with the link to this thread but he gave no reaction.

Combining this thread with http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3797345-scrapping-all-of-unscrapped-junk-helps-supply-line-transferance-absurd-that-it-doesnt-exist/ -
Thanks. I'd imagine a mod like this would get much more appreciation and attention than slooty outfit cbbe edition number 4692 so I really don't know what keeps people from making this. :(

IKR... I should do it myself perhaps, sadly I know FA about modding. I'd probably make it look a bit like the skyrim smelter, with a chest or hopper type thing on top, or perhaps something from the Saugus ironworks set... Then when you interact with it, it's like any other workbench; e to enter, r to transfer. R would just take you to the settlement workbench inventory, e would give you the hopper inventory and your own. You transfer items, be it junk, canned food, meds, collectibles or whatever, and either through settler interaction or just simple time passing it would turn into resources. Or when you hit 'r' or 'X' in the 'e'-menu, it would probably be easiest.
