thoughts on updating? still not sure if staying stock or updating to a newer version will be better

it is the integrated hd3000 sandybridge from the i5 2500k

i5 2500k 8gb ram sandy bridge will the large address aware mods help it run faster? even moving the mouse is chopppy

how can i get it to run faster? sometimes it gets choppy. i have not updated anything at all -- will updatying to 1.3 help? or is there a solid mod i could use?

thanks im going to take a look should i update skyrim though? im running on default. hear dsome updates breaks the game pretty much :(

what are the top mods to get? platyed stock skyrim until lvl 30 as a mage and it sucks! please tell me what mods i should check out
