  1. Ok I disabled all mods and the problem goes away, really because it returns to 60Hz. Turning "(SKSE64) Havok Fix-FPS cap" back on w/ FPSLimit=155, breaks it. I have a free-sync 155Hz monitor. What should I do to fix this ? I'll go read more on the Havoc thread in the mean time, but I hope I can run over 60Hz, thats too slow in 2019.
  2. EDIT: it's the 155Hz problem, it makes the water flick and sound stuuter as soon an I move. It goes away standing still. I have i5-9600k, rtx 2070 OC, 16GB ram, 155Hz monitor w/freesync, using MO2 for mods, I have no creation kit, or bethseda extras Mod #7 is the '(SKSE64) Havok Fix' for +60fps, the ini has 'EnableVSync=true' , I set FPSLimit=155 Ok so I disabled all mods and the problems goes away, really because it returns to 60Hz. Also if I was to use a profile in nVidia control panel to change v-sync or whatever, what executable do I use ?? the SKSE.exe that MO2 runs the game from ?
  3. Ok good the guide I'm trying uses Cathedral weathers. But yeah, I'm pretty new to modding, IDK how easy/hard it will be to change a whole section, like weather, that the guide is using.
  4. I have special edition, but I haven't played it yet, and I'm trying to mod it. IDK much about the common weather mods, and I'm blindly trying another mod guide. I want a rain mod to make it rain more often, or is there some ini change that can do that ?
  5. Ok something's really wrong, because now exiting MO2, without tyring to run zedit, I still get the message saying "virtualized processes are still running.....", and below is zEdit(4472) Now I'm worried
  6. I'm trying another overly intensive mod guide, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/14223?tab=description And he says to run a program called zEdit for some reason. https://thephoenixflavour.com/guide/core/step-13/ I unzipped it to a folder and added it to the tool list in MO2. When I run it (from MO2) however, the box pops up saying MO is locked while the exe is running, below it says zEdit.exe (11824) And it just seems to do nothing, no other windows open, even minutes later. And I have to press unlock, then exit MO2 to get back to "normal" What does this sound like ?
  7. OK I did this for clean install https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewUUS1xl2H0 And uninstalled MO2 , wryebash, LOOT. And deleted the left over MO2 directories. So I'll try again. Should go a lot smoother this time. I'm not using creation-club
  8. Yeah I didn't install them all, but I sure never tested anything along the way. If I start over, and use LOOT as I go, when do I change the .ini files (there wasn't many changes), and use wyrebash and dynLOD ? To I do them each time ? Personally I want the overall visual upgrades to look good, like landscapes, caves, trees, towns, water, clutter, etc. To make it look like a 2019 game.
  9. This was my 1st serious attempt at modding SK-S.E., so I did a fresh install, and followed the instructions as best I understood them. Overall I got most of them right I think. With MOD2, I was following Juanton's Skyrim Special Edition Mod List (2019)https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23066 Thanks for the help, however that's a work in progress, and some steps aren't filled in at all. At the end I just stumbled through the wyrebash and Dynlod steps. I might have that messed up for sure. Right now it works, but I can't see my hands/weapons, I just hear the attack sound. NPC's are stuck in a T-pose and just slide around instead of walking. A torch light was pixelated and blurred. Who knows what else is wrong. I don't like the ENB, makes it way too dark, when I intsatlled it there was no options to choose from. If I can't set a brighter ENB, I don't want it at all. I have an i5-9600k, rtx 2070, 16GB ram, 155Hz panel, and it seems rather laggy so far, I don't need all these mods, it OTT. So call this a 1st try and getting used to modding in general. So can I just start disabling some mods ? Would I have to run things like loot, wyrebash, dynlod again ?
  10. I finally got Skyrim S.E. so I can finish the game for once, in style and with lots of mods. I have MO2 installed, followed a good basic 2019 guide to get started, and I chose Juanton's Skyrim Special Edition Mod List (2019)I have 87 mods so far, most are easy to deal with , but then there's the ones with DynDOLOD, and my eyes rollover, because I should be doing university math/physics, not programing games. If I just start skipping more mods, like ones with DynDOLOD, should it all work ok and still look pretty good ?
  11. I have a 155Hz monitor and last week FO4 was running normal, at +100Hz most places. I was having low FPS inside , and changed something in the ini file, and it fixed that problem. Then since yesterday, the game has been locked at 60FPS, which feels laggy and choppy. So I deleted the 2 ini files in mygames/FO4 and in the MO2 location, ran FO4.exe to create new ini files, and MO2 did also copy the new ini's. Then as usual I ran the game with F4SE in MO2 How ever I'm still stuck at 60FPS. I don't get it
  12. I have the basic version of FO4, I pre-ordered way back when. I never had much luck running it. Now I'm on a new, home-built, very powerful rig w/ win10. I just did a fresh install of FO4 on steam, INCLUDING the HD DLC. Should I have done that if I'm using the most popular visual/texture/model mods ? I'm really new to modding and I'm using ModOrganizer2 I DLed 65 very common/popular mods, mainly visuals, models/textures, some guns. And a skip intro mod. I checked most descriptions for requirements, (I'll have to go back) I did not DL anything like LOOT , Do I need LOOT with MOD2 or not ? What about FO4 script editor, like for starting Skyrim with SKSE in MOD2 ? So using ModOrganizer2, I made a profile, with the ini's working, and had all the mod's turned on, that didn't give a conflict like "DLC required" in MOD2 I had the game running in the house and 1st Vault. And it crashed to desktop after I got out of the pod , to the end of the room and turned around. So I'll turn off all of them and work back up the list, but what else should I do 1st ? Here's a list, minus 3-4 more guns. 2 or 3 mods needed DLC, so I'm not using them.
  13. I love this game, but it looked old. I think I only finished it once. Can it be modded as easily as Skyrim ? How much better looking is it ? Can it be improved up to even vanilla Skyrim level graphics ? I didn't have many bug related problems, so what all else have people been making mods for ? I already have way more games than I need, and barely any time from any of them. But I'd like to throw it on my rig, just as a place to go visit once and a while....if it looks way way better.
  14. I followed this guide, now I'm at the very end, the ini tweaks part https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23066 So far I only launched the game once, just to make the 2 ini files show-up in .....users/mygames/skyrimspec.ed. Now with modorganizer2, how do I edit the ini files ? I found it once, but can't remember how. Also, only skyrim.ini showed up, a tab for skyrimprefs.ini was there, but is was blank. Although the skyrimprefs in mygames/skyrim.. is not a blank file. The guide creator says I have to edit the ini's in muliple folders, can I edit both, and them copy/paste to the other directories ?? This is probably going to crash anyways. But at least I have the main mods I want DLed, so I could start over way quicker. How am I supposed to start the game ? Run SKscriptextender from MO2 ???
