i installed repairable sanctuary http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8610/? and i missed the part about the mod deleting the stock files for the sanctuary houses. ive decided i dont like the way the mod handles item placements in the "repaired" houses and deleted it... no no house walls, no sanctuary bridge. ive tried to have steam validate the files but i cant seem to get the original files to show the stock houses and bridge. any suggestions?

So with the laterst update, 1.6... am i to understand that the base game can now handle the crafting mods without the use of a keyword patch. assuming i use versions of hte mods that dont "require" SKE/SKI, it should work fine? i just feel like i have never seen all the crafting options. some appear and some leave based on load order, install order, ect.. Is there a mod that will just remove the dog and that corpse from the red rocket side of the Sanctuary bridge?

I'm wondering if Skyrim ini files work like some "config" files i've used with other games in that, after the setting you could add "//" and then comment about the setting. So will doing something like this; fInteriorShadowDistance=2400.0000 //determines how far away light sources get drawn indoors// without bothering anything?

BOOM!! points to you sir. the one that actually mattered was; iShadowMapResolution=8192 <--- changed to 4096 and solved. smooth as silk now. interestingly enough (or more information about how little i know about this stuff) these two had no impact at all; iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=8192 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=8192 thanks again for your reply

And finally im all good here... the things thats really confusing to me is it only seems to be interiors, i can run around fine in forests and in town and its smooth as silk. Here is my Skyrim.ini; and my SkyrimPrefs.ini; i didn't see how to use the little "spoiler" tag?

What really annoyed me was it seems like they caused it. at launch, there were tons of people complaining about the 4100hz bug (or something or other) and the patch that supposedly addressed that caused the missing audio in dialogue issue. i never had a problem with the audio until they "fixed" it. -

I could really use some help to determine what setting is causing my lag issue. I made a fresh install of skyrim (redownloaded the files) deleted all saves and .ini files. i am running no mods. After i used the launcher to generate the vanilla .ini files i went here... http://online-source.net/tools/cfg-makers/skyrim-cfg-maker/ i selected ultra or DNA Ultra Ex(+50%) when applicable. the game looks very nice, even with no lighting mods but i have this issue indoors. i first noticed it during the opening and certain sections of the cave the game would drop to 1-3 fps. sometimes it would "catch up" and be better and other time i had to move through the area until it cleared up. i dont think its loading related because whatever triggers "it" will continue to if i look back in that area. for reproduceability i took some screenshots of where, in the helgen starter cave, where i can sweep the mouse (look past) an area and it lags... every time. turn 180 degrees and its all good. when i made it our of the cave to the forest around riverwood all was fine, in riverwood all was fine, go into the traders store (where you get the golden claw quest) laggy as hell. guess there is a limit for SS per post, more to follow...

Yes happens to me all the time... Have no idea how to fix it. i noticed it started back with the second or third patch and has continued on. -
this is not happening in something im making. i use Climates of Tamriel with clarallux and this is the effect in game. i guess i thought everyone saw this in their game.

I am wondering at the limitations of skyrim and or the creation kit. Let me say right off, i dont know much about the mechanics of what i'm asking, i just know what i'd like to see in game if possible. I'm talking about smoke... in the daytime it seems to look right and doesn't seem to add any distortion to whats behind it. but at night... the smoke from fire, lamps or any light source that generates smoke, the "smoke trail" illuminates whats behind it. i dont mean as though it were a light source, it like kind og like the "screen" effect in photoshop when your setting the overlay settings. i have soms screen shots to try and show what i mean, but its much more obvious in game. can smoke be rendered at night without that brightening effect?

wow.... A - its not an "issue", its more than likely a "feature". B - i wasn't being rude... i, quite clearly, said, "its not a huge deal, if what i described rings a bell with someone, great and i'd love to hear it". So let me translate that for you... i didn't, and still do not, expect anyone to do any "research" of any kind. the only "expectation" i had, as a result of this post, what that someone might glance at it and think, "oh, i remember that, i think its from the mod xxxxxxxxxx". So, since that was apparently NOT your reaction, please have a nice day and disregard this thread going forward. C - For you react to this as though i were making demands on other peoples time and expecting you to labor towards the answer, and then saying i was being rude says much more about yourself than it does me. D - thanks for the tip regarding the plugins.txt file. Should something arise that i truly need help with, it will definitely come in handy.

so i dont think i have a glitch, per say, but since renovating the dawnstar sanctuary, everytime i leave via the secret exit/entrance, a dremora hord is summoned and attacks me. 1 giant dremora and about 10-15 underlings and he can sumon a spirit dragon... anyone know what mod this is from?

Hi Folks- im trying to get the best of both worlds... i want the SSD supported by TRIM in windows 7 AND the ability to have a HD RAID 1 array. i know the Drive type setting in the MOBO BIOS needs to be ACHI in order to get TRIM support, which does not allow me to run a RAID array. my questions is, if i get a PCIe RAID controller card, will i be able to set the drives on the card differently than the drives connected to the MOBO? i recently switched to RAID MODE in my BIOS settings to allow for the RAID, but i can tell the SSD drive is losing its "snap".

Hi Everyone- i was wondering if there was a "rule of thumb" for determining what mods might need to be updated after a new patch comes out, from my limited perspective, it seems as though some mods should be fine, for instance, Skyrim HD 2k textures shlould be ok, right? can i proceed from the perspective that if a mod is just a texture mod and doesn't do anything to change game mechanics it should be ok?

Hi all- so ive seen references to BOSS in the nexus install directory (some .dll files) and on a previous install when i had manually installed BOSS, NMM used to prompt me to update my master lists. im on a clean install now and if NMM handles BOSS finctionality i dont want to bother with the manual install. so i guess my questions is, does NMM do what BOSS does, and if so, how do i make it run or does it happen on its own.
