What is the best school of magic to follow? i played as a dark elf using mainly destructruction maagic and as a breton using mainly illiusion but neither of these two styles seemed to be very effective

What are the benifits/disadvantages of heavy and light armour and what do you think is better and why.

Being new to the elder scrolls games, i am wondering what to do when it comes to smithing. Do different abilities such as choosing eleven or dwarven smithing make a difference to armour or weapon ratings or are they the same but look different?

After i upgraded my orcish sword and my orcish dagger i noticed they had exactly the same damage but the dagger was lighter thus swung faster. Is there any point in using the sword, does it have any benifits over the dagger?

As i was practicing my archery down at riverwood i accidently killed a chicken and the entire village chased me trying to kill me. Can someone please enlighten me why people like chickens so much in this game.

hey guys. im new to tes games and have played skyrim for the first time and im wondering wether to choose a magic specilist or a combat specilist. what do you think is better and if so what race is best, bear in mind im very new and im not that good.
