  1. This is very odd since the plugins view is diretly synchronised with the file. Are you sure you don't get an error message when you click "Sort"?

Could you post the last few lines of the vortex.log immediately after running "Sort"?

    Nope, no errors.

Edit: After messing with it some more, it seems like it only doesn't like the plugins I made myself with SSEEdit. (Patch.esp and RSCPatches.esp in the screenshot)

It also doesn't like RaceMenu.esp, which I downloaded from the Oldrim nexus and ran though the CK.

Any other changes made seem to take effect in plugins.txt, just not those ones.

  2. Can you show the "load order" column in your screenshot, too? Because that's the only one relevant to show the actual load order

I mean, I said it was the bottom of each, but I guess.

Note that Vortex starts from 0 where as the notepad++ program starts from 1 and there is a comment at the top of plugins.txt that takes up a line.

  3. The new update 0.15.0 (or perhaps it's LOOT's new api) no longer updates plugins.txt in appdata load order properly. When I first installed the update, plugins.txt was completely rearranged to be different from Vortex's load order, and any changes I make in the Vortex after that order don't update plugins.txt. The only thing that changes is if I uncheck a plugin in Vortex and it updates in plugins.txt.

Reverting to 0.14.3 fixed the issue.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Here's the bottom of each, for both plugin's.txt and Vortex:

  4.

In the rare occasion this was a problem for me (Main file), I just renamed the mod in the panel.

It's a good tip, but it doesn't make sense for thousands of users to do renaming every time they get poorly named mod files.

Yeah I agree, and also it would help if we could merge files of the same mod into one mod automatically.

  5. After several restarts the Timeout errors went away and I'm logged in now.

UPDATE: Sometimes I can get in. Sometimes it times out.

BTW, is there a mechanism in Vortex for reenabling the Morrowind plugin that I disabled? Not that I have Morrowind installed at the moment.

After restarting Vortex a couple of times I am getting a API error as well sometimes.

And yeah just go to the extensions tab on the left bar, but re enabling it will give you the error again.

peteredw wrote: Zortyx, when you state that your computer crashed first thing I would check is to make sure you have your graphics drivers, and the operating system are up to date. Even your Mod load order can cause crashes. From what your describing it sounds more like it could be a graphics issue.

I did have a similar issue on my own computer, uninstalling the drivers for the card then reinstalling them fixed the issue. :)

haguerepairguy wrote: If it's during deploy mods, that's one thing, but if it's after, when you try to load the game you just set up mods for, then you have a mod conflicting that's causing game issues. Could use a little more info as to what you were doing, with what mod, so maybe we can help you diagnose it. :)
Zortyx wrote: haguerepairguy It happenes 1/3 of the time right when i click the deploy button never when i launch the game. The only mods i have installed are texture mods, MCM and project nevada for fallout new vegas which work fine together on NMM and MO
haguerepairguy wrote: Sounds like a possible driver issue like peterdw said, just in case, I'd check that first, but also use the submit feedback button inside vortex, and take a screenshot if you can if it happens again and pass it along so they can see exactly what's happening, any errors that are generated, etc. It's very possible it's a bug.

This is the first someone has reported something like this. It's probably a problem on your end.
