This isn't a bug.
It is just showing you all the rules that that plugin has. Even if you don't have it installed.
-
This is very odd since the plugins view is diretly synchronised with the file. Are you sure you don't get an error message when you click "Sort"?
Could you post the last few lines of the vortex.log immediately after running "Sort"?
Nope, no errors.
Edit: After messing with it some more, it seems like it only doesn't like the plugins I made myself with SSEEdit. (Patch.esp and RSCPatches.esp in the screenshot)
It also doesn't like RaceMenu.esp, which I downloaded from the Oldrim nexus and ran though the CK.
Any other changes made seem to take effect in plugins.txt, just not those ones.
-
Can you show the "load order" column in your screenshot, too? Because that's the only one relevant to show the actual load order
I mean, I said it was the bottom of each, but I guess.
Note that Vortex starts from 0 where as the notepad++ program starts from 1 and there is a comment at the top of plugins.txt that takes up a line.

The new update 0.15.0 (or perhaps it's LOOT's new api) no longer updates plugins.txt in appdata load order properly. When I first installed the update, plugins.txt was completely rearranged to be different from Vortex's load order, and any changes I make in the Vortex after that order don't update plugins.txt. The only thing that changes is if I uncheck a plugin in Vortex and it updates in plugins.txt.
Reverting to 0.14.3 fixed the issue.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Here's the bottom of each, for both plugin's.txt and Vortex:

There's no way in the program yet (remember it's in alpha), but you can go to your mod folder in Windows file explorer and move stuff around manually.
-
Yeah I would recommend reverting back to 0.13.3
-
@Tannin42, if I recall correctly, when one changes the directory to which mods are downloaded, Vortex actually moves any that already exist in the old location. Am I remembering correctly?
Yeah it does

In the rare occasion this was a problem for me (Main file), I just renamed the mod in the panel.
It's a good tip, but it doesn't make sense for thousands of users to do renaming every time they get poorly named mod files.
Yeah I agree, and also it would help if we could merge files of the same mod into one mod automatically.

After several restarts the Timeout errors went away and I'm logged in now.
UPDATE: Sometimes I can get in. Sometimes it times out.
BTW, is there a mechanism in Vortex for reenabling the Morrowind plugin that I disabled? Not that I have Morrowind installed at the moment.
After restarting Vortex a couple of times I am getting a API error as well sometimes.
And yeah just go to the extensions tab on the left bar, but re enabling it will give you the error again.
-
I got the Morrowind error as well but it's logging into nexus fine for me
-
And you're running SKSE and not the normal Skyrim right?
-
Try reinstalling Vortex? And are you sure it's not working or is the mod your trying to install corrupted or something?
-
It works for me, you're going to have to be more specific. Did you download the SSE version? How did you install it.
-
In the mods tab, you need to click on the red lightning bots to fix the conflicts so they turn green.
Before and after:
-
ReShade preset support of KCD would be cool as well.
-
Yeah I'm going to assume they haven't fully implemented it yet.
-
Are you sure you downloaded from the open alpha page? The closed alpha page is still open for some reason.
Try reinstalling from here
-
You have to download the new version and run the installer again
-
agreed. i suggest a public bugtracker again =P
Well there is the github issue tracker.
It's not comprehensive as of now I'm sure, but anyone can report on it.
-
when browsing saves mo was highlighting which esps were missing. will this be added as well?
You can already see what esps are missing. Just double click on the save.
-
What do you mean "vortex keeps saying it not there." What is "it"
How did you install them?

In response to post #57690726. #57703451, #57703491, #57705326, #57706291, #57722026 are all replies on the same post. This is the first someone has reported something like this. It's probably a problem on your end.Zortyx wrote: Crashed my computer twice when trying to deploy mods and made the screen turn colours i didn't even know it could... yeah i'm going to leave this alone until it reaches beta.peteredw wrote: Zortyx, when you state that your computer crashed first thing I would check is to make sure you have your graphics drivers, and the operating system are up to date. Even your Mod load order can cause crashes. From what your describing it sounds more like it could be a graphics issue.
I did have a similar issue on my own computer, uninstalling the drivers for the card then reinstalling them fixed the issue. :)DarkDominion wrote: That has nothing to do with it being alphahaguerepairguy wrote: If it's during deploy mods, that's one thing, but if it's after, when you try to load the game you just set up mods for, then you have a mod conflicting that's causing game issues. Could use a little more info as to what you were doing, with what mod, so maybe we can help you diagnose it. :)Zortyx wrote: haguerepairguy It happenes 1/3 of the time right when i click the deploy button never when i launch the game. What's your problem? CBBE isn't working?

Just run SKSE outside of Vortex. You don't need to launch Skyrim from inside Vortex for your mods to load.
Retrieve Categories from the Nexus
in Vortex Support
Posted
So currently there doesn't seem to be a way to do this. I want to be able to mass select mods and click a button to retrieve the Nexus defined categories based on the Nexus Mod ID my mods already have.
Thank you.
