Same issue, after a simple google search this is the solution that helped me: You'll need to exract the Thunderchild - Epic Shout Package.bsa, delete the .bsa and then remove the ski_playerloadgamealias.pex from the scripts folder.

OK, this problem occurs so often that even now, at 2018 I had the same problem. I downloaded all of the existing vampire eyes fixing mods, none worked, except this one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23375?tab=description at start it didn't work too, however after putting the plugin ("EveryVampireEyesGrow.exp) from this mod at the bottom of the list, it started working for my female nord! I loaded my save and she stands there, looking at me with them glowing eyes just as I wanted. So, this could also be mod order problem, OR plugin order in my case. Hope this helps anyone out there like me, not a single vampire eyes fix didn't work until, after hours of frustration I found out how to fix it.
