  1. I think it should be doable and if it is it's a must I know right? I've also been a bit anti Thalmor, killed a lot of them and I'm in the stormclocks. I don't like ulfric though, it's the only thing stopping me at this point. If I were to romance him, it would end up like Macbeth. Conflicted is definatly what I'm going for with this Thalmor. I'll probably have to play the game finished both ways before I can finish the quest line though.
  2. Seriously!! Wuthering Heights was uber depressing... you aren't getting it mixed up with Gone With The Wind by any chance? I can understand that not being depressing enough for some people..... wow, I'd like to play whatever you write just to see how torn up I get. I'm into tragic characters but it'll be interesting to have a tragic story line. F. Scott Fitzgerald. “Show me a hero, and I'll write you a tragedy.”
  3. yes that would be cool. If we did it well we could make them too different quests as well, then you could end up with a best friend and a spouse.
  4. What do you guys think of a "make me a sandwich" mini quest? where you'll need to collect food items like letace, tomato, cheese, roast(cooked) beef and bread maybe even potatoes... it could be a leftover stew sandwich or something. A friend suggested it. It should have great health qualities. I guess there is no onion or butter in the game but that would make a great sandwich. It would be even better is it is possible to randomize the needed ingredients to keep it interesting. bread is a must though. for the duration of the quest the spouse will say she/he is out of stock when it comes to food and ingredients because it wouldn't be realistic be be sent grocery shopping and then buy it from them. shouldn't be too difficult to do?
  5. drakkenfan and iggy1eco came up with it. ;) thanks... I think this plot is workable and it will definitely be a challenging quest line. We still have a problem catering to both male and female players. we'll probably have to do 2 separate quests?
  6. I would really like it too... obviously it is something we'll have to look into once we have the creation kit and a main modder. Nakanaide - good to have you on board!
  7. Drakkenfan and iggy1eco I believe you have stumbled upon something which has to be done, but might be much more difficult than originally intended. As Sagenth said : "I don't like this for socio-political reasons and the fact that altmeri are dicks. However people marry dicks every day, so it doesn't really matter to me in the end. It is a cool prospect from the modding standpoint having to massage their ego as the quest." Although I like it because of the socio-political reasons. I'm a female Nord, a stormclock, and I just killed ever Thalmor in the Northwatch Keep... what is there for a thalmor to like? nothing exactly... and I'm sure a lot of people are upset when people don't like them especially if that person just saved my life. Imagine this. you are on your way to Markarth (as there are already a lot of Thalmor there and that city is so intriguing you are bound to run into him again he'd be stationed at a bar sometimes or near Ondolemar and the Jarl) when you see an official looking thalmor on the same path. this triggers an overpowering attack obviously aimed at you fight as long as possible and the thalmor is forced to fight beside you. when your health is really low it triggers a blackout like in the bigining of the game. when you come around at the Markarth stables, everything is blurry you see this thalmor face in and out of focus and he moves out of vision, you hear voices... disapproving voices not all mer. He'll be defending his honor, there must be some way to link faction speech so he'd say the appropriate things for female players it'll be easy (who doesn't want to save a damsel in distress) but it would be nice if he uses other aspects to justify saving you. the other npc use the other faction information like "She's a stormcloak!" "Ondolemar won't be pleased" "we have a duty to get rid of talos worshipers" "I think she has fur growing out of her ears" "what if we need to kill her later?" Then you fall back asleep and wake up in the stable while the guys who sell horse and war dogs ask you to leave. you leave and when you run into him next maybe you over hear him talking about home and how comfortless Markarth is. you go up to him and say "you're the guy who saved me." He'll be non comital and then when you insist he'll say, "yes, I did. So you owe me. While that would entitle me to the rest of your life, but I'll settle for a glass of wine." thus the start of some elaborate quests, eventually some together and obviously you'll have some different dialogue options and responses.
  8. @ Drakkenfan sounds interesting, but maybe you could give us a bit more of your idea. How do you meet this Altmer and why does the player find themselves attracted to them? It sounds like a great questline but you've got to make the player want to marry your altmer? what's his history? Maybe he's an old war veterine (it sounds like that would fit in with the missing home senerio.) Is he a potential follower... I think it's fine if he's not. Some people prefer have stay at home spouse and there could be some extra after marriage questline to keep it interesting.
  9. I just read your guide, it's very good. I couldn't open the link before and I wish I had been able to because now I've read it I'm definitely going to re-record the reading of faefolken 1... link to re-recorded
  10. Unfortunately I didn't get that glitch. the ring is worthless to me without already being a werewolf. I used this console commands and they work, just you won't have access to the under forge.
  11. I like it. An interesting (South African?) accent, which adds something to the book. A few pronnciations sound a bit off, but I'm sure that you can sort that out. It is a solid reading, although it sounds like you weren't terribly confident. I'm sure this will improve with time, and you picked a very long book, so I can understand this. Sorry, if this sounds overly critical; I'm not trying to. Good luck with future recordings. Thanks yes I'm South African! I love getting feed back because then I can improve. Yeah I wasn't sure about most of name pronnciations which effected my confidence and I wasn't sure if I should have gone back to my natural voice when the Great Sage started telling the story but I think it works. what do you think? any tips or suggestions? plus that's without any editing i'm not really sure how to do that.
  12. I was thinking that while all these more advanced mods might take a long time it would be relatively quick and easy to make the care-package separately and in such a way that it would contribute to but be stand alone. would you mind replying under the third link in my signature? I'm trying to get more interest in this. I can contribute to it as a writer but unfortunately I've never modded anything ever. I only just decided to do anything more involved than download mods I think I'd only really need one modded but I'm not sure. Practically everything is in the game already. should be able to work along side any future romance or independent companion mods, which I'm looking forward to.
  13. @Mugabuga - why don't you look for a book that needs a voice like yours rather than stressing your vocal cords? I have no idea what you sound like so I can't suggest anything. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Books You can always record something and put it on soundcloud, what's the worst that can happen. They'll say sorry we can't use your record but thanks for trying. Good saying Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained. I'm also just putting my reading on soundcloud just waiting till i'm home and away from this noisy air con.
