Curious if anybody is familiar with this title and knows if any mods were made for it. Also curious how I could learn to develop my own mods for it. I don't have any experience with modding though, maybe more popular titles are easier to learn with? Any help would be appreciated.

I thought the same thing! But they only have some of the latest pdf's available. I couldn't for the life of me find the Oblivion GOTY guide pdf on the Prima website or online anywhere so I just bought one on Amazon. Just make sure you get the one with over 500 pages because the first printing didn't have any maps at all despite being listed in the table of contents.

Yeah man, that's what I ended up doing as I was in your same situation. I couldn't figure out why Windows Update wouldn't work on a fresh install. That offline update worked like a charm but I had to be patient when it did that part about verifying id's of missing updates. Took like 2 hours and I kept thinking the thing was frozen.

They should probably consider that the guide will be released again when the Special Edition drops next month. You can pre-order them for $30

Nice work on that mod James, looks hella cool, I was going to try that myself! I'd like yo find out how to add placards to all the statues and landmarks in the game. The Prima Oblivion guide has statue id's for all the statues but it would be cool to design something. It would also be cool if they Aedric quests like in Skyrim

I'm just looking for extremely well made and polished mods. I'd rather have quality than quantity. Like one fabulous quest rather than ten mediocre quests or 10 aweaome enemies versus 100 enemies that don't really look like they were put there by the designers.

I have ADD, so if I can put my face in a book and mark on it I do much better than trying to stare at a screen from two feet away and not be able to write notes. I do check uesp occasionally though but I've ruined too many plots by their lack of spoiler control but then they say they're not concerned about spoilers.

When you say last reliably hacked OS do you mean OS' since then cant be reliably hacked? What does that mean anyway and why would someone hack an OS in the first place?

Yeah, I just found out there are spoiler warnings so I'm gonna pick up a used copy.

Thanks for the help. The thing is I just did a reinstall of Windows and the first thing I did was try to update it and it just kept searching forever for updates it said were available! If updates are available then why is it searching? Any ideas where I could find help? I'm still very new to PC exploration and I don't know who to trust. Also, how do you enter those little quotes at the bottom of your replies that show all the time?

Thanks for the response. Problem is, most of the time I don't know what the hell anybody is talking about. I don't always pick up on the specs and what this or that is. I guess it's time to break out the A+ tome that I have stuffed away.

IMO the move is defensive, as the company now control 90+% of the world's access to what's now considered a utility in our country. They and Google are in for very rude surprises (actually they're not surprises) from our government in the next few years. But in the meantime, Windows 10 offers limited support for gaming compared to Win 7, e.g. 10 drops support for copy protection schemes (Starforce etc) required to install/play some games. What do you mean by rude surprises?

This is why I got the 960. I'm 35 man and I'm not playing anything newer than Skyrim and ELO(not ELO onviously). Most games I want to play are back in time. I'm not the type that just wants to play all the latest and greatest stuff that keeps coming out.

The mod you originally suggested to me, Improved Signs, is the one I was curious about originally rather than Statues HD. When you said you didn't think Statues HD affected the signs, you were correct. I mistakenly brought up an issue with Improved Signs in this forum about Statues HD. In the description of Improved Signs, the modder says "This is a retexture of about 90 to 95% of the signs in the signs folder." I'm wondering if the other 5% are the various signs in the Imperial City because they don't appear to be retextured but then I would assume all the signs(i.e. Copious Coinpurse, Tiber Septim Hotel, Luther Broad's Boarding House, etc.) would comprise much more than 5% of the Signs folder.

Lol, that's actually the mod I was referring to. It doesn't change the signs in the Imperial City at all and I'm not sure if all the atuff in the ImperialCity is modded differently from other areas.

Hey man, can you explain the difference between FTW gaming and SSC gaming with regards to GTX 960 GPU's and which one is preferable?

I'm not sure if or how I could. I've never installed one before.

Are you familiar with why the signs in the Imperial City are not in HD? Is there a different mod that changes those textures?
