  1. Thank you for the response, @Pickysaurus. I did not migrate Vortex. I haven't modded anything for about 2 years so I am starting everything from scratch on my new PC, assuming that anything I had on the old rig is out of date. More concerning to me is that this issue I had and fought all day yesterday is gone today. Vortex is making no complaints and making me look like I imagined the whole thing. If the problem recurs I will certainly try your suggestions.
  2. Yeah. Thank your for the response, HeyYou. I was completely wrong about that. I was thinking that the AppData folder was one of the many other folders I moved such as Downloads and Documents. I had forgotten that AppData is a hidden folder. It is there along with all its sub-folders and the Masterlist that Vortex is complaining it cannot update. I simply cannot find the setting in the Windows Defender firewall that is interfering with Vortex and I am bewildered that the initial installation of Vortex was able to create it yet Vortex cannot update it.
  3. Vortex version 1.8.1 Modding both Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE (same issue) Window 11 Home Edition x64 Issue: Vortex cannot find c:\Users\barba\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\fallout4\masterlist and c:\Users\barba\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\masterlist I am completely new to Windows 11 and do not rule out the possibility that this is a Windows 11 issue and a user error on my part. Basically, I built a new PC and installed Windows 11 for the first time (side note: I am not adjusting well to new OS. Bleh.) I am now attempting to mod both Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE for the first time in 2 years so Vortex and modding is new to me as well. The reason Vortex cannot find the masterlist is that I moved barba and all its sub-folders to another drive. I attempted to follow MIcrosoft's instructions for moving the folders as best I could but I don't now how to reverse the process because no folders on any drives other than the c drive have a Location Tab under Properties. I am really hoping someone here can tell me how to tell Vortex where my barba\AppData folder is. Vortex is telling me this likely a firewall setting I am still bumbling around Windows 11 Defender settings trying to figure out which one. Deleting the masterlist so that Vortex could download a new one only made things worse.
  4. Not sure I understand what a debuff is. I watch these threads because this bug is still plaguing me. Hoping I will see something new on this issue. I have also been watching some youtube gameplay done by Many a True Nerd. His character builds rely heavily on VATS and I cannot understand how he can do what he does without being affected by this bug but he has never mentioned it in any of his commentary. So I am wondering if there is some magic system settings that can prevent this from happening for some who play without experiencing this bug.
  5. I want to use NMM to modify Fallout 4. I have it installed and running correctly on my Windows 10 computer but an having difficulty setting it up to work on my Windows 7 computer. The problem is that it cannot find the Fallout 4 ini file. I think this has to do with the fact that I have My Documents directory logically redirected to a different drive from the drive the game is installed on. My Game programs are all installed on my C drive but all my game config files live in My Documents/My Games which is on a different drive. I may be on the wrong track and this is not the problem but I cannot think of any other explanation for why NMM cannot find the Fallout 4 ini file.
  6. This bug occurred for me playing a mod free game. I started a game from scratch in Survival Mode. Had been playing slowly through the game for a few weeks. Got my character to about level 45 without ever experiencing this bug. Then sent her out to the Glowing Sea to find Virgil. Could not get through the Glowing Sea. No matter what route she went she eventually froze up using VATS on ghouls, stingwings, bloodbugs, or radscorpions. The freeze occurs for me the moment I hit the Q to enter VATS. Don't believe it has anything to do with reloading weapon. It is a hard freeze. I cannot even bring up Task Manager. The only solution is to hit the power button and restart my computer. The only viable workaround I have found was to install Gopher's No Sleep til Bedtime mod. To stress this is only a workaround for the bug. It does not fix it. The bug is there and I never know when it will crop up. After being forced to play a modded Survival Mode to continue with the game I went ahead and added the mod to enable the console. I lost Ada and the only way I could get her back was to use the console. It is disappointing that I cannot "complete" this game in Survival Mode without the use of mods. For reference, I am playing on a PC. My specs are Core i7 6700K 32GB RAM 1TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD GTX 970 Windows 10 Pro
