  1. I hope not! I guess i will joing some factions one or another but i haven't dicided which ones yet. Mostly i dislike the College so that's why i mentioned that one, and i also dislike the idea of being both the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, a Nightingale, an Archmage, Harbinger of the Companions and the leader of whatnot all at the same time. Can't i just be and avarage crazy adventurer joe?
  2. After playing skyrim about 10 times over, spanning almot 8 years i got tired with it and quit... but it starts itching again to pick up that old masterpiece and give it another - compltely different spin! I already found a mod called You are Not the Dragonborn. And that suits my idea perfectly! I'm looking for as many mods as possible to completely flip my gaming experience with Skyrim. I still love the world, the lore and the feel of the game and want to return to it, but not to all the boring quests. What i want to do is take on the role of an adventurer with no special ties to any quest, group, whatever. Just me and the wild and all the things to explore and to - mostly - play modded quests. Honestly i grew very tired of the standard questlines and i want to build a whole new story, but as immersive as possible, so i'm also playing with Frostfall installed. So are there any other mods that i should check out for this? Anything that completely alters or even removes the quests like College of Winterhold, Descerning the Transmundane, anything concerning any guilds... you know.. the standard mandatory stuff that gets boring after the 10th playtrough. Any must-have mods you reccomend for my idea?
  3. Let me update this while i'm at it. In the meantime, my voice can be heard in the Expanded Towns and Cities mod now! https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13608 as Isgerdr of Riverwood. I've also recorded lines for yet to be released mods, so the experiance bar is filling up! Also, the equipment has changed. Now i'm eqquippend with a much mire pro sounding MXL 990 condensator mic with pop filter *whooo!* I'm still available for VA, so if annyone needs one, lemme know :)
  4. So I thought why not give this a try! I have a voice. I have a microphone. Love to do people a favor. So here's something about me: Age: 26 Gender: Female Race: caucasian Playable Races: Been mostly a Nord, kajit/wood elf in VERY early playtroughs. The i thought: Dragonborn is a Nord legend, hence a Nord it shall be :) Experience: None in voice acting (yet). Do accasionaly sing - or at least make an attempt. Skills: Got some neat equipment (simple Samsing microphone but it does the trick) and can add whatever effect you want. Got some skill with editing vocals on Adobe Audition. About Me: Real name: Linda. 26 yo Dutchie, speak English as a second language my entire life. Love metal music, fantasy stuff, pretty much everytime I see a dragon somewhere it lifts my spirits. Been playing Skyrim for about 4 and a half years now. First ''real'' game i got addicted to. I don't pretend to be a gaming nerd, got a handfull of games that i enjoy. nothing more. Discovered nexus mods about a year or two ago. Been overloading my game with mods eversince. I REALLY respect modders who create huge worlds almost better than Bethesda can. There were mods that made my jaw drop a lot more than the actual game, and i can only say; kudos to that! Would love to be a part of that. And with no programming/mod creating skills whatsoever, (mostly, technical stuff frightens me), i thought i could always lend you my voice. âReferences: I have a youtube channel which is kinda a metal vlog-thing. If you wanna hear what my jabbering sounds like, this is what i have for you. If you happen to be into melodic/sympho/power metal, feel free to stick around and subscribe. Appreciate! :) â https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLHupUBBMU8Y9wmszb2GqNg Got any questions? Feel free to ask them!
  5. I recently installed skyrim on my new pc, and since then i have this issue. the loading screens take forever. And i mean forever. One time i went out, went to the store, bought some lunch, had lunch and got back home and it was still loading. Funny thing is, when i do ctrl-alt-del and hit 'task manager', it promptly goes back to the game and suddenly its loaded and i can play without further problems. Untill the next loading screen, where i just ctrl-alt-del again, select task manager and suddenly it loads. So task manager is open, but it doesn't stay in windows and snaps straight to the game. So now i'm just ctrl-alt-del'ing my way trough but it would be nice if there was a way to solve this. Especially when i do it too often my computer says 'screw this'and my game crashes. (does not happen every time, but enough to be a nuiscance) Does anyone know what's going on and how to solve this?
  6. Started the Shrouds of Jotunheim quest mod. But unfortunately i'm running into problems. My first problem was that i could not talk to the hooded figure at the inn. I solved it by using the second level door to get to the inn, instead of the one on ground level. But now i get realy stuck. I need to meet with this Helgi at the Solitute lighthouse after nightfall. Did so, but Helgi doesn't show up. Can anyone tell me what to do about this?
  7. that first one indeed looks cool! thanks! :) The rest of what you posted are not really what i'm looking for though. I've been running around a lot in this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71843/? unfortunately this one has quite a boring feel to it... but otherwise it served me well.
  8. For ages i'm searching for an armor that suits my character's personality, but so far, no real luck. My dragonborn is a silent hero that preferes roaming the wildlands than serving under some lord or banner. Lives in Lakeview, which is no more than the standard little house. Basically what i'm looking for is a light armor, suitable for withstanding most fights, without being bulky. Preferrably leather with a hint of metal. Until now a lot of armors that i find are showing too much skin. Not that i'm pude, but since it being the cold and harsh Skyrim continent, i like something that doesn't look like i'm freezing when roaming around the Pale. A lot of armors in this kaliber that i find look like they can belong to any random drifter. I still like some authority in my looks. I'm the Dragonborn after all! So to sum it up: - Female rogue/adventurer armor - Light armor that's not too bulky but looks like it can stand a punch - Suitable for Skyrim's cold weather - not too shabby looking. If you know any armor mods that might be what i'm looking for, please let me know! :)
