  1. Just so you guys, know I fixed the issue by disabling all my mods. I have no clue what caused it to happen, possibly one of the mods must of had side effects that wouldn't go away until I disabled it. I really don't know which mod it was unfortunetly. @checkett glad to hear that man ! :D
  2. Don't say sorry and the proceed to click on the post button. If you were truly sorry, you wouldn't post it. If you truly think you are justified to post it here, then be confident about it and don't apologize. This is an internet forum, things always get slightly off topic from time to time. Just stop saying sorry... But now you are going to say sorry for that, aren't you... *double face palm* Kinda kills the purpose huh xD, got a point there but still felt like I had to say it though.
  3. It sounds like the shotgun mod has a bad .nif file (Mesh/model) which can and will crash the game. The funny thing is it's the vanilla shotgun, could it be the modular Kalash that adds various new bullet types to the gun (including explosive) and in turn crashes the game? I'm going to see if it's actually the mods causing this, a long process of finding out what the cause is I supose :3 (again sorry for this off-topic posts, I'm going to make a new thread about it)
  4. That sounds pretty cool, I'd love to test it out! Right now my game's crashes when I browse to my pipboy or switch to some weapons using the hotkeys. It always crashes when I switch to my never ending double barrel shotgun, it even crashes when I hover over it. I can keep duplicating the issue over and over again it's so weird. How can I tell if my savegame is corrupted or whatever due to mods? Or is it a common problem... ;s (sorry for putting in this thread, if it persists I will find the right place to put it) Anyway that's not going to take away that I'm still going to test out your mod :p
  5. Couldn't agree more, they will definetly bring more mods to console I'm certain about that. A lot of modders love the Nexus platform, they chose to upload it to Nexus-only: for a specific reason. Maybe now console modding is a thing, they might also put it on Bethesda who knows. I know for a fact that Elanora would consider it with her bigger mods, if Bethesda would make some changes to their platform. And as you can tell by previous posts, there's a lot of other reasons to it. ^^
  6. @TeamBacon That sounds like one of the best suggestions here, I would be down for that I can quote myself on that actually: Wouldn't it reach more people though, if we would make a thread on the nexusforums? Just curious.
  7. @TeamBacon I guess that sums it all pretty much up. Very elaborate answer gives everyone fresh insights as to what is going on at the moment. As someone on Bethesda.net told me, It's a great thing that we're trying to bridge the cap between PC modding, console modding and the nexus community all together, a very noble cause so to say. May I complement you on your knowledge about the subject and your honest responses. So far we've learned that a minority of people are having conflicts with eachother which results in more conflicts amongst all the groups. This obviously has consequences for all groups and non of them are beneficial. We all know there's no real solution to this problem, other than giving it time and talking about it. In my opinion we can ''ease the pain'' if we just talk about it, that way it confronts people with the truth, no word of a lie. We also learned that modding is relatively new to consoles and that in the current time span the authors simply haven't had enough time to release their mods yet or even find out how FO4Edit / CK would work on consoles (if they were planning to do so in the first place). We can expect more and more mods hitting the console soon. People that have divided opinions on the Bethesda platform have had those opinions even before console modding was released, hence why there's still so many more mods on Nexus compared to Bethesda.net (correct me if I'm wrong). This topic was orginally ment to convince those people (if not convince just inform / request, them do so. Or express what they would think about it. If they didn't want to do that, it would be okay, even if they don't want to explain it, it would be okay). However it was hard to tell who were going to bring in their mods and who weren't planning to do so. You didn't want to be part of the group constantly nagging, as to when the mod would be done nor would you want to accuse the modder that he / she was a PC elitist not wanting to bring out a mod for console. Minor PC elitist that are part of group #1, stated by @TeamBacon were never going to release mods for console, and even if I might find that discriminating, they have every right to do so and I respect their decision. Would they be okay if someone else did it for them? Questionable. This differs from person to person, I'm guessing he'd/she'd either allow it if were written in a polite sense, all credits would be properly described and the uploader would need the proper knowledge to actually make that mod work properly on the console. That same person could also not allow it, simply because he doesn't want anyone else uploading his mod elsewhere or other genuine reasons. It is true that there's a boycott going on giving the current situation, which made some authors hide their mods for everyone else, so that it can't be stolen. But we've also seen some very smart solutions like Vaporware DRM (all I know is that it does something unpleasant with the mod, so people can tell it's stolen). I expect that some authors will keep them private, but some will probably make them public again when it's ready to be released for both platforms. Various other reasons (and no they are not excuses) are possible (I covered these in one of my earlier posts), but are less common than these I believe. Click the spoiler to see those reasons (some may be repetetive) If you want to read my opinion about the thievery and other malicious activities feel free to click ''show spoiler''
  8. @MasterMagnus Wow I'm glad to hear that it all seemed to worked out for you. Keep up the great work and thank you for spending time to respond on this thread ^^
  9. @TeamBacon I didn't mean it to put as excuses (that's something negative), just possible reasoning (so I can understand) as to why it's not available on Bethesda.net. I kinda could of expected your answer, but really I didn't mean to put it as excuses. I think all what you've just named are genuine reasons, and I respect that. I personally thought the main reasoning behind it was; some console players ranting / begging / insulting mod authors and the thievery. But there's more to it and now I see that everyone's expecting too much in too little time, just because a bunch of thieves upload broken mods that seem to work, doesn't mean that the authors that do proper uploads have to be uploading it within that time span. I think I understand you and a lot of other modders better now, thank you for your honesty! On a side note I really didn't mean to come of impatient / demanding. I was just wondering what your opinion and reasoning would be on this topic. I hope that clarify's it a bit, I would love to read more official responses!
  10. I've seen a lot of awesome replies to this topic right here, I think that's a great thing. I too am quite surprised that we haven't really had an official response yet. But the point Drake is making is definetly among the best reasons as to why those mods aren't available on Bethesda.net. I supose I'm just really curious and would happily want to find out what other possible reasons could be. And I'm happy that this community right here embraces this topic with open arms, that really means something guys. MXR mods seems to mention something about it (don't mind the thumbnail) A few possible reasons why there aren't many Nexus (or other platform) mods on Bethesda.net [XB1] right now The actual original (not broken), professional mods are in the worksThe mods may take time due to various reasonsDuties: we all have duties, a lot (if not all) create mods as a hobby, they make it available to us for free and because they have to do that on top of all the duties they have right now (sports, work, kids etc.) it makes it very time consuming for them. Perhaps that's why we just have to be patient and wait a little longer, I guess?Compatibility issues: not everything that works on PC will work on console, so compromises need to be madeBethesda: not supporting certain mods like: CBBE (even though right now people are pushing their limits and uploading nude mods all over the place on Bethesda.net)Perfectionism: the author / creator of the mod doesn't want to upload their mod yet, because it simply isn't working properly yet or doesn't has the results he/she desiresDamage: some mods may damage your console, no author wants to be responsible for itTesting: not every author owns a console which makes testing/bug fixing very hard and frustratingTiming: maybe right now isn't the best timing, summer holidays are about the hit for most people the weather is great and the thievery doesn't make it betterFilesize: there is a 2GB limit on the xbox mods and this means that some mods simply won't hit the xbox due to their filesize, and if I'm correct you can't compress for xbox one (yet)A minority of PC elitist simply doesn't want to bring their mods to console (I haven't seen those, it's just a possibility)A boycott against the thievery going on (I get where the authors are coming from but it doesn't seem to affect the thieves only the players, however it does raise awareness and might give people the incentive to support the cause)Above I've stated some points I think could be reasons why mod authors are less likely to put their mods on Bethesda.net for console, for now.... So to the modders out there what is your reasoning behind this (obviously could be anything else, but maybe it's one or more of the above), I would love to know so I get a better understanding of the situation ^^
  11. You have every right to feel that way I supose. I myself am a (web)designer and if I'd see my work being stolen, I would definetly not appreciate that either. I do think that there is a civil solution to it though, even now stolen content gets removed from Bethesda... It's just that it takes a long time before they do so, which I can't really blame them for entirely. Maybe we need to be patient on both ends? The thievery affects everyone, not just the players but also the mod creators. This only proves the point that it really is a global problem, it's not just console players stealing content it's everybody stealing other people's digital property from everywhere. It's not just mods, it could be anything really (logo's, pictures etc.) that's something that will never stop. I guess what I'm really trying to say is, that they should somehow find a way to monitor ownership of mods, that way people can't just get away with that kind of stuff. And it would re-encourage modders to place their content on Bethesda.net again. That would be a start I think?
  12. Thank you for being so open minded about it and informing us about the current situation. I guess people just make it seem that there's something going on between these two platforms, but it's not as you said it's global. This community is probably the biggest though if not the biggest, that's why we're here trying to band and try to understand what's going on, which you have just explained very clearly. @tartarsauce2 you bring some good idea's to the table, although paid mods are quite questionable I think it would ruin the whole point of modding, as it is more of a hobby. When you turn it into a profession, mods are no langer to be called but just expansions / dlc, which isn't a bad thing but they would be less accessible though. You make some good points though and I appreciate that ^^
  13. Wish it was always like this man :)
  14. I'd love that idea, but I don't know where Bethesda would stand on something like that. Nevertheless it would be very promising for the nexusmods community and console users alike.
  15. Thank you so much, It really is and it gives everyone a chance to have a say in it. I personally think with all this going on it's good to show mutual respect towards eachother.
