  1. . Just uncheck the crosshair in the options.
  2. http://static1.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/49489-4-1388768045.jpg The medium imperials have chainmail sleeves. What mod is that?
  3. EDIT: Sry, delete this thread. I didn't see the pinned thread.
  4. Coder is just a term I use for modder. Sry for the inconvenience with the wrong file and thx for the advice. :) I have officially reposted the mod! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49608/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D49608%26preview%3D&pUp=1
  5. No worries, but thx for offering for when you are needed.
  6. We'll, I'll try to find some time to write down dialogue. I'll make sure the mod is more a complex array of quests then just a "do this and you're done". There is gonna be multiple consequences and ways to finish quests and some minor misc things happening for each of the sides. I'll PM you guys when I get the first part written down. Xander and Mezrin You guys should outline what each of you are gonna do if you are up for the job, thx again for all the support btw!
  7. Exactly, now we just need to colour it in. :D
  8. In a nutshell very similar, and thus balanced. Stormcloaks 1. Plan coup with exiled Jarls. 2. Expose Ulfric's intentions to the Stormcloaks 3. Rally them and storm the palace of Kings. 4. Challenge Ulfric and beat him in a dual. 5. Through politics and warfare that should work hand in hand with the civil war overhaul mod, you conquer Skyrim. Imperials 1. Rally the angry Imperial army after GT's death. 2. Plan the coup with the exiled Jarls. 3. March on Solitude. 4. Dethrone Elsif or force a political marriage. 5. Through politics and warfare that should work hand in hand with the civil war overhaul mod, you conquer Skyrim.
  9. This Those are very good ideas. The stormcloak side of the quest should generally be warlord oriented. While the Imperial side can be more dialogue and politically oriented with open skirmishes here in there untill you have enough power under the Imperials in Skyrim to use them to break away completely with your army. The Imperial quest can work like this: By the end of the Civil War, you and General Tullius hear that a huge band of stormcloaks have rallied and taken a fort somewhere in Skyrim. GT and Legate Rikke accompanies you there for the battle, along with the imperial army stationed in Skyrim that you are highly respected by this time around. In this final battle however, GT gets crippled by an arrow in the chest (scripted) and tells you to carry on leading the troops to the final victory, and then dies shortly after that last sentence. Winning the battle, the troops are severely brought down by the death of their beloved general, and you being second in command, the soldiers yell that they hate that fact that they have been forced to fight this long war for a petty Emperor. One of them exclaims that you are a Dragonborn, like Tiber Septim, and wished that a Dragonborn, like you, sat on the throne instead, because you at least put your life on the line as well. You then rally them and thus have a personal army which you use to march on Solitude and dethrone Elsif. Next are the other holds still loyal to the Empire. And then political intrigue and battles can commence. The imperial side of the quest ends when you have conquered all the holds and start to plan on marching on the Imperial city.
  10. Okay then, we've mapped out what the general requirements are for a coup in Skyrim, because it will be independent, it will have soldiers that can be rallied and someone to dethrone right in the province. But, are you saying Imperial officers and soldiers (who have been fighting for a united Empire under the Emperor) will join a cause to free Skyrim under your rule? It's what they were trying to stop Ulfric doing. The only other way is if you start a completely new rebellion, which we don't know how to handle, because their is no more army to rally (stormcloaks disbanded). It does not work out, unless you want to become Emperor in Cyrodiil, which is a whole other story of it's own. However, I do have something like that planned in the back of my mind for the far future if this mod does well. Plz, tell me about some of these thousand ways and how you suddenly rally a multi ethnic, fighting-for-empire army to the cause? It's like rallying the Thalmor against the Elves of Tamriel. But plz, do explain how this would be done...
  11. Welcome aboard! Most of the mod will be quests scripting similar to that of the Civil War questline from my observation. I don't think that will be too hard for a first time modder such as yourself. :D And to Erenussocrates The Imperials can't have the same quest because then you are copying Ulfric, but with no soldiers. The stormcloaks have been disbanded or are scattered too thinly by the end of the Imperial side of the civil war and the multi-national Imperial soldiers fight for the empire and nothing else, there is no one to rally to your cause as a result.
  12. After the coup and while you are at war with the Uldric loyalists, you should be able to issue what armour and weapons your soldiers should use by means of using a special mannequin in the palace of Kings. And after all the fighting you should be able to set the new capital of Skyrim, which can be any hold. This hold will give you a daily income by talking to the steward there. And maybe you could then solve the issue of the Dunmer refugees. Will you provide a safe haven for them? Or will you brutally oppress them? Perks of being king these are.
  13. But what exactly do you tell the stormcloak soldiers? Do you give a rousing speech? Or do we somehow expose Ulfric (if so with what?) (A letter?, rumor?)
  14. If anyone still wants the unfinished mod, here it is. {removed because ze link, ze do not werk} There are a few bugs however. Leather greaves don't work and the cuirass meshes still have pauldrons attached to them (however, you can put other pauldrons on top of them). And your underwear clips through a few armours. But, pauldrons on robes work quite well. I want to fix these general problems but I sadly do not have a coder anymore, and I can't code at all and I'm not going to learn how to. GrimyBunyip pretty much just said he had too many other mods and could not continue on this one because it was not popular enough at this condition. Then he just said I have to take over, but I was busy with my studies, that's why I've been gone since July. Enjoy what's here and Merry Christmas :D
  15. That's a fantastic idea  I agree. Essentially, any of the Stromcloak Jarls that are still loyal to Ulfric and did not join the coup may need to be ousted from their positions by sieging and capturing their holds. In that event, you can then make one of your followers a Jarl, or reinstate an old one which you convinced to like you again, like Balgruuf, which I would rather want to be Jarl of Whiterun. So far: 1. You select what Jarls you want to join the coup at the blue palace by means of persuasion, they help plan said coup, and will support you in a moot. 2.You will gather Ralof and a group of Stormcloak soldiers to storm the palace and challenge Ulfric to a fair dual. (Both using the Th'um) 3. Ralof will act like Galmar and start the siege quests. 4. These will be aimed at Jarls that are still loyal to Ulfric. (Some stormcloak Jarls should also be persuadable) 5. Once they are defeated, you can assign a follower or a loyal former Jarl as the new/reinstated ruler of said hold. 6. Once this has been done, the moot will elect you/or you can crown yourself outright and conquer Jarls that are not pleased with that act, which means more sieges, yippy!
