Well, I believe I have a custom race installed, but I am playing on my original character, so I am just a plain breton.

YES! Ok, I finally got it to work, I set my race to bretonracevampire and it worked, they attacked me once, but after i left and came back everything was normal!

Seriously, I keep trying things, changing quest stages in console, going back and doing things over, toggling collisions to escape the castle unseen, nothing works. The people in the castle always say I've given up my powers and to talk to Harkon to get them back, but I still have them and Harkon has no dialogue option regarding getting the power back. Please someone help me make this work, I really want to play through the damn story.... Recap: I get to the castle, get the power, get the quest to talk to Garan Malethi, and then everyone attacks me. What can I do to change this?

Yea, but can you talk to anyone? I can't do the quest with that Garen guy....

Ok, so, basically I got to the Castle, talked to Harkon and got to the room where I transform into a Vampire Lord. I went through the tutorial of how my powers work and all that crap, and then I exit the room. I enter the main hall area and EVERYONE attacks me. I finally got them to stop attacking me by using the boat to leave and then come back later, and when I talk to them they say "You've given up your gift" or "How dare you come here as a mortal", but I am have Sanguinus Vampirus and I can turn into a Vampire Lord. I went back and made sure I wasn't still a werewolf, and I made sure all of my bounties were 0, tried it again, and the same exact thing happened, how do I fix this? Are there any known complications with mods, or would there be anything my character had done before the DLC that might be causing this? Any thoughts?????
