Hello fellow Nexus modders, I'm preparing for a fresh install and playthrough of FO4 and I'm wondering if there has been a unique player animation framework made for the game since the last time a played several years ago. I did a search, but the only threads I found were from 2017ish and not updated recently. I also did a search on the Nexusmods itself, but sometimes mods are named in a such a way that they don't always appear immediately unless you know part of the name. If anyone is aware of such a mod that is working, I'd very much appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

Hello, I'm having a problem wherein some cells are missing walls or floors, and in some places, you can see through the world into this weird glitchy "rainbow cloud" (not sure how else to describe it. The worst of these is in the Creation Club content "Captain Cosmos" in the Hubris Television Studio. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all missing, causing me to fall endlessly through the world warping to the top then falling and doing it all over again. I am running mods on my normal game, but I just did a clean run with JUST this mod installed and I'm still having the problem. FO4Edit shows nothing interfering with any of the assets the .esl adds. I also tried deleting and regenerating my .ini files. I'm pretty much out of ideas here. I've heard this can be an issue with AMD cards not loading things properly, but I don't know how to confirm that or fix it if it is the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Back when I was playing FO4 right after F4SE's initial release, I was playing around with Immersive First Person Camera from Skyrim and tried putting the files in F4SE instead (renaming where necessary). It worked at that time. However, I was not able to recreate it now. My guess is that subsequent updates invalidated whatever allowed it to work in the first place. That said, if anyone has pex scripting know how, you might be able to update IFPC from Skyrim to FO4. I wish I could be more helpful than that.

Hello Darstyler, Thank you for your response. I'm please to let you know that I have solved the issue. The xaudio2_6.dll was a clue, not the problem. Because it was an audio file registering the crash, I reasoned that an audio problem must be causing it, specifically some sound playing while blocking. I thought that perhaps an effect was causing a memory block issue, so I went back and ran my memory block tests again. While doing them, I did a shout, and crashed. The shout effect played fine, it was the the SHOUT sound that was the problem. So, what did blocking and shouting have in common? Player Exclusive Voice Path. I did some digging. The sounds for shouting and recoiling (specifically stamina draining) are NOT tied to the player character, but issued by an invisible NPC quest trigger. PCEV replaces all the player-triggered sounds, but the author himself has admitted had not yet figured out how to fix the low stamina thing. So, if anyone else experiences this problem, are you using a voice replacer? If so, that is probably the place to start.

I recently started a fresh install playthrough of Skyrim and, in selecting a playerhome, I have chosen one I used three years ago as well--Haven, by scottypimpin: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10643/? This is a great playerhome that I hope can get more love. Scotty overdid the decorations a bit, and placed a few too many "god" items around the house, but all of that is easily fixed by "disable" or some quick CK work. Since scotty gives permission for people to modify his files, I'm sort of hoping a more experienced modern Skyrim modder might take an interest in this player home and consider tweaking it to release an updated version. I've made my own changes to the mod over the years, such as toning down the decorations, and most significantly, fixing the soundtrack. But there is one major bug I've never been able to fix--one of his NPC's, an orc named Neera, has the brown face bug. Brown-face is distinct from grey-face in that none of the usual ways of fixing grey-face seem to work. Indeed, ANY NPC created in this particular cell (HavenTunnel in the CK) is created with a brown face bug. This problem has stumped me for years. If anyone has input, I'd appreciate it, but that isn't exactly the purpose of this thread. That one problem aside, Haven is a lovely playerhome set in perhaps one of the most beautiful spots in Skyrim. Give it a look if you haven't already.

Hello, I'm having a very strange problem. My Skyrim game is running pretty smooth, with very little crashing issues. However, I have recently started to have one very troubling and serious issue which I'm having trouble figuring out--my game CTDs when taking a blocked strike in combat. This only happens to me the player, not NPCs, and it only happens when I receive a blow while blocking. I can block perfectly fine, I can attack fine, NPCs can block fine, but the moment I receive a hit while blocking--crash. I have already tried several things to try and stop this. I updated FNIS (just in case), I rebuilt DSR (just in case), and then I reinstalled XPMS and reran FNIS and DSR. The last thing I did seemed to alleviate the crashing for a few hours. But today, when I logged in and started playing, the problem started again. Just to test, I also started a new game, and the problem persisted there as well. The thing that is throwing me off is that this is a totally new game, with a very carefully selected and curated mods installed. I have not installed any major mods since beginning the game, and I played for about 4-8 hours without any problems. I have already run a memory block log, and it doesn't seem to be a memory block issue. SKSE and the Papyrus logs are also not giving me any useful information. Given how specific and reproducible this crash is, I'm hoping with a few other minds on the case, we might be able to quickly figure it out. Please help. System Specs: Windows 10, 64-bit AMD Phenom X8, 8 Core, 3.6ghz processor ATI Radeon R9 280x, 3gb Vram 24 GB RAM Mod List: http://pastebin.com/hhvGCvKa UPDATE (7/10): So, I did a SKSE minidump, and the problem being returned is a driver error XAudio2_6.dll, is apparently trying to "divide by zero". This seems to make sense, as blocking crashes when the blocking sound plays. I wonder if there is a problem somewhere in the game registering the sound. I checked my sound drivers, and they are all up to date. I also ran the updaters for DirectX 9 and 10, just to make sure, and they are also up to date. I just ran a brand new game, and the problem still occurs. So I'm not quite sure what is going on.

Greetings, I'm looking for a mod that adds various authors' mods to item level lists. I'd be happy to make something like this myself, but I honestly don't know how since I've never messed with leveled lists before. Thanks!

Greetings, Does anyone know of any compatbility mods out there in mod-land that make the Underground Hideout compatible with Imps More Complex Needs and See You Sleep--Time for Bed? What is needed is a mod that allows the bed in the UH to be both seeable in sleeping and recognized by IMCN as a valid sleep place to restore rest. Thanks for your help!

Valor Spirit Invisible Body (Head and Weapon Show)

DA1's bodies and faces are primitive in comparison to DA2. I'm pretty sure the eye makeup is the same story. That is just how the game is. -

Tranquils don't have a brand in DA1, if you are using a mod for that, I can't help you there as I never used it. -

I'm sorry, I cannot. I do not have the game installed any more. However, I found it by searching for "Valor", or "Spirit", one of those two. Two files should come up. -

Hi applesonia, the problem is Improved Atmosphere. There is a file in there that conflicts. You just need to find the valor file and delete it. However, it will only work on a new game. Luckily, it is a minor issue, so if you've played past it, you won't really notice anything else having trouble. -
Hello, I have never used mods on DAO before now. I installed a new game just to try out some mods. I'm playing as a mage, and the first Valor Spirit is simply a floating head with no body, although his weapons appear on his back just fine. Here are a list of the mods I'm using. I've already tried uninstalling NBaio (that was my first thought as to what the culprit could be) but no luck. I have read through these mods and to the best of my knowledge I have installed them correctly and not installed conflicting mods. Does anyone have any suggestions? Most of these mods affect females, not males, so I'm not sure which could be the problem. It should. Although the names of the body parts you'll have to modify will be different. Also, you'll need to make sure the race-assignment you are giving the body parts (i.e. ImperialRace, etc.) lines up to the race itself. I am not familiar with those two custom races, so I do not know which might be best. If you do try, feel free to post back here with your results.

At least in my case, I never modified the uGrids, either in an ini or via a mod, so that wasn't the case. What I've found is that in areas where the game freezes a lot (and they seem random), I can get past it by saving frequently (not quick or auto, mind you), and reloading these saves until I either get past the problem or it randomly stops freezing. Some "old tricks" from Oblivion help here. One thing you can try is looking at the ground until you are out of the area that is freezing. This isn't a guaranteed fix, but it does seem to work quite often. Another trick is to keep the sky out of your FOV. Though I cannot confirm it, I suspect the sky is the culprit. So, in other words, don't look into the distance at the sky, and keep the sky off your screen, and it minimizes the odds it will freeze. Still another trick is to frequently enter and exit internal cells. If you are traveling around the island and you see an internal cell, go in even if you have no reason to; save in there; and then exit. That seems to at least move the freeze zone to somewhere else. I also frequently typed "PCB" and "clearinvalidregistrations" (if you are using SKSE) just to make sure, though I don't think it was helping. If you need to leave/return to Solstheim, you have to avoid the in-game travel. The only way I've found to leave is to go to an interior cell and COC to another interior cell. After, you have to make a new save, exit to desktop, open Skyrim again, and then load that save. This is the only way I've found to avoid the travel freeze. Theories: Well I've already said the sky seems to be a problem. I've heard others suggest it is a conflict with ENB--possible, but my tests didn't bear it out. Since going into interior cells seems to temporarily relieve it, I do suspect a grid load is the issue, even for those of us not using uGridstoload. The default uGrids of 5 may be too much for Solstheim, though I did not test below 5 since that makes the game unstable. It does not appear to be related to vRAM or physical RAM, processor speed, or power, though if you are low on those things it may exasperate the problem. For now, I have to think that this is something hardcoded into the game by Bethesda. Until they fix it, or until someone else figures it out more fully, we just have to adapt.
