  1. I too hate this dog. Why Fallout 4 forces us to get to know him is beyond me. Even if I ignore him I can't just kill him, because the game flags him as essential. Same goes for those settlers trapped inside the museum in Concord. I hate Preston Garvey for his do-gooder mentality and therefore the rest of his bunch of degenerates. I don't want to help an old woman high on drugs, a grease monkey, two bald and useless survivors and ... him! What do I get in return? Nothing but warm words and a job - working for them? No. He failed as a Minuteman and she should have died with his people. Same goes for Dogmeat. This mutt is marked for deletion as soon as he did his job sniffing Kellog out. Then it's Doomsday for those guys ...

    As you can see, there are no other mods which alter the scenery and environment.

    I made no changes to any *.ini file except the ones you need to make to enable mods for Fallout 4.


    After some time, I encounter a strange problem: the grass is gone. Like I had disabled it with a the "tg" console command. I need to disable and re-enable it to see the grass again. But after I walked several meters to another place, it start's happening again. I have uploaded some pictures to visualize my problem.




    What could I do?


    My system is capable.

    It's a GTX 1080 with 8 GB Ram, an i7 and 16 DDR4 RAM. All graphic settings except shadows and godrays are high.


    The strange thing is that with a less powerful system I could play it just right and now after I upgraded my rig it starts to behave like this ...
  3. There are plenty of mods which fix this oversight. In addition to that, try "cl off" in the console to turn character lights off to remove the glow around characters and items.

  4. First of all, here are my mods I'm using. They're not causing any problem except one thing: when I first found McCready, one of the two gunners was naked. Okay - maybe that's just a slight little bug. But when I'm encountering a Gunner patrol, sometimes one of them is naked, too.

     

    I ~think it has to do something with one of the two mods called:

     

    - NPCs Travel ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16987/? )

    - War of the Commonwealth ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12395/? )

     

    I've found the mod which causes this.

    It's the Mercenary Pack ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20088/? )

     

    It adds uniforms to the leveled list of the Gunners. What can I do about it?

  5. I think you guys are taking this discussion way too far, mod authors can do with their own mods whatever they want.

    Though personally I would never pull down my mods because I spend so much time on them, not to mention other people helped me along the way so its not 100% my own work even though I have all the "rights" on it, it just wouldn't feel right to do such a selfish act and turn my back to those that helped me progress.

    That's why I download the mods and save them on my HD. Because what I got can't be taken away from me. Even if the mod author wails and stomps on the ground. I want to use the mod? I use the mod.

  6. You can still use it if you downloaded and saved it on your HD. Just install it via Nexus. There's no version information and you won't know if there are any updates, but you can use it.

    Those "silent deleters" are a shame.

  7. Hi there.

     

    Even without mods, those two locations always force back my FPS counter to stable 30 frames per second. Entering the city is equal with playing on a console.

     

    I can play Battlefield 1 on Ultra and all the latest games work like a clockwork, so I'm scratching my head over here, because I can't do anything against it and lowering my settings is NO option, because any other places in Sykrim work perfectly fine, even with mods.

    And this is what's wrong with the general attitude. Nothing's wrong with respecting copyright and property, but: if there's a mod which the original creator has abandon or does not show interest in modding anymore and/or is just a basic *censored* (Yes, there are some.) then the mod will never be ported to the SSE. So what's wrong in those cases with just grabbing it and do the community a favor?
